Okay... I guess I don't like Mapleshade for her actions as a reader, but putting myself in the perspective of a professional, her character is rather spectacular.

I loved her in the main series', let alone her own book. So much evil in one widdle cat. And she was portrayed beautifully. She was also most likely the most- or only- evil Dark Forest she-cat we meet, enhancing her incredible evilness even more.

Then in her book, you get a great reason of that evil. I love her bsckstory, and her lack of Mary-Sueness makes her a great character.

She was only trying to avenge her kits. She just had a bit of a wrong idea on how she should go about that, and honestly, I say Warriors needs more evil she-cats. Did you know that I based my she-cat villains off of Mapleshade in Rising Sun? (Hence the name "Nightshade")

Overall, I'm a huge fan of her character, evil, backstory and current story. When she re-killed Spottedleaf, of course I was sad, but I was sadder when she was killed. It puts her in my top 20 cats.
