Note: I have an updated opinion of this cat and a future chapter explains my current feelings towards them.

I'm not sure how I feel about Leafpool, to be honest.

I liked her as an apprentice- she was one of the first to actually do as she was told.

She was sensible and kind, and I definitely preferred her over many other cats.

But then she started to develop feelings for some ridiculous WindClan cat. Yes, maybe I like him, but I do not ship a ThunderClan medicine cat and a WindClan warrior. I can understand warriors falling in love with cats from other Clans- they can be expected to love cats like that, at least. But when a medicine cat double-breaks her code? No. just... no.

It confuses me how Jayfeather was a grey tabby. Completely different cat, but still. Crowfeather was black, Leafpool was brown tabby... that doesn't make silver. Hollyleaf was black which is understandable, and Lionblaze's golden pelt could have been inherited from Firestar and Sandstorm's pelts. But the only cat that Jayfeather could've gotten his colour from is Ashfoot, but she was dark grey and not a tabby. It's a bit of a stretch.

Sorry. I get sidetracked easily. Back to Leafpool.

I feel that when she fell in love, her character was ruined. I never enjoyed seeing her sad afterwards though, and I liked her again after we re-met her in Jayfeather/Hollyleaf's POVs. She became the sensible, calm cat she was before.

So, basically, I liked her until she fell in love with Crowfeather. I then hated her until she rejected him. I liked her after that.

Leafpool was developed well, and not too Mary-Sue. I liked her most of the time, and she was a good cat overall, except for when she fell in love.
