Chapter 6

Stars shone brightly in the sky. Honey Heart gazed at them with wide green eyes. It was beautiful.
"Get a move on!" Blue Sky nudged his sister back into presence. Honey Heart jumped in surprise, looking embarrassed once she realized what had happened.
"Sorry.." She apologized and continued walking with her brothers and Needle.

Eventually, they made it to a small hollow in a tree, and Needle proposed staying there for the night.
Being too tired to argue, Dew Paws, Blue Sky and Honey Heart went inside. Needle took a glance to both left and right, and followed the others inside.

*•*•*•*•*•*•*

The morning had arrived. The night had passed peacefully and now the sun was rising in the horizon.
Shreds of light were peeking inside the hollow through the roots of the tree.

Honey Heart shut her eyes thighter so she could block the sunlight and continue sleeping.
But that plan got backfired as soon as Needle started waking everyone up.
Honey Heart let out an annoyed groan when Needle started poking her.

"Get up. We gotta get a move on before it starts raining. You can already see dark clouds in the distance. Now I don't know about you but I don't like wet fur!" Needle informed. Honey Heart opened one of her eyes.
"'Kay 'Kay I'm already awake anyway."
She comforted him and stood up.

She stretched and yawned, then padded out of the hollow.
Needle hadn't lied when he said rain was coming. Dark storm clouds could already be seen in the distance. Honey Heart sighed and sat down, waiting for the others.
She didn't have to wait for long until the others arrived.

"Great, let's get going before it starts raining." Needle meowed, and the cats set off.
The cats had managed to travel quiet the distance before raindrops began landing on Honey Heart's nose.

Needle had also received a raindrop on his nose, as he looked back.
The storm clouds that had been hanging by the distance were now upon them, waiting to start splashing up a huge storm.
Needle didn't look to happy about that.
He turned back and then said; "Let's go shelter in that barn over there."
He pointed his tail to a huge den made out of wood. Near it was another den. Suddenly Honey Heart noticed a hollow a little distance from that so called barn.
"Hey look! There's a hollow over there!" Honey Heart exclaimed.
Needle rolled his eyes.
"There may be a hollow there, but that's not gonna protect us from the rain. If anything, we'll just get wet." He said.

Honey Heart sighed and nodded, following Needle.
The rain began falling down more heavily, and once they reached the barn, everycat was soaked.

Needle shook himself dry, then settled down on some kind of yellow spiky moss and yawned. Then, curling up, he covered his nose with his tail, and soon, soft snores came from the cream tom's direction.

Honey Heart turned to her brothers, who had settled down on one of those spiky moss things as well.
"Night.." Dew Paws murmured, before drifting off.

Honey Heart could hear rain violently hitting against the barn. Thunder cracked outside and Honey Heart could not get sleep.
You know what? I'm going to go investigate that hollow right now! She decided and stood up, full of energy, and determined (undertale references lol) to see the hollow.

She got up and padded to the barn entrance, lightly pushing the door open. It made a creeking sound, but the sleeping cats calmly continued snoring.

As she opened the door wider, the sound of rain got louder and, not wanting to wake anyone, she slipped out quickly and quietly, slowly closing the door after her.
Once again it made a creeking sound, and this time Honey Heart had to hope that the noise woke no one.
