Ashpaw woke early. She sat up and looked around. Jayfeather had gone. Probably up early, gathering herbs they had run low on. She got up and started trying to remember their names. She had tried to memorize them yesterday, and almost got them. She went through them a few times, and then Jayfeather walked in, with more catmint. "Jayfeather, may I talk to you?" I asked. He nodded, and finished putting the herbs away. He walked over and I sighed. I told him the prophecy. He pondered a moment and nodded. "This is.... Interesting. Usually the first prophecy is given at half moon...." He nodded, and walked out. I was puzzled. Why was I given a prophecy early. I went to Splashpaw.

   I saw Ashpaw coming and perked up. I bounded over and sat down in front of her. She sighed, and bursted, telling me how she felt, but I could tell she was hiding something. I didn't push though, after all, she is a medicine cat.. Err.. Apprentice. I licked her, in a comforting way. She seemed to calm. I sighed, and saw two clan cats acting weird. I ignored it and continued talking to my sister.
