   Firekit and Splashkit were excited, today was the they were to be apprenticed. They bounded with excitement. BrambleStar went up to the Highledge. "Let all cats old enough to catch there prey come to this gathering." (im so sorry, I forgot the meeting phrase they use... 😂) The kits groomed themselves right before going out, and sat down, waiting to be called forth. "It is a special day, and we have four apprentices." He called, proudly. "Ashkit, come forth. " He made eye contact, and Ashkit almost tripped, she was so excited. She walked and sat in front of BrambleStar, excitedly. "Your mentor will be Jayfeather, may he pass on his knowledge and wisdom. From now on you will be known as AshPaw" Jayfeather came forth and touched noses with AshPaw, and many cats cheered her name. Next was NightKit. "NightKit, come forth." She walked over, elegantly. "Your mentor will be SpiderLeg, may he pass on to you the skill and smarts he has. And from now on you will be known as NightPaw." She touched noses with her mentor, and the clan cheered her name also. " Next is Splashkit. Come Forth." The clan hushed. Most of them had seen her skill, along with her brother's. "Your mentor will be SquirrelFlight, may she pass her skill and quick wit onto you. And from this day forth, you will be known as SplashPaw." They touched noses, and there were uproarious cheers from the crowd. BrambleStar hushed them with a flick of his tail. "Firekit, come forth. Your mentor... Will be me." The clan whispered quietly. "I have seen the skill you and your brother possess, and I would take no greater honour than training you." He touched noses with his mentor. "From now on, you will be known as Firepaw." He lifted his head, and almost had a nostalgic look when he said that. He called the meeting to an end.

  DawnFlower couldn't be prouder. She was so happy for her kits. No matter how old, they would always be her kits. She went back to the warriors' den. Somewhere she hadn't been in a long time, and laid down. She had a little time to gossip with a few close friends, then rested. It was night, after all.
