MoonKit squealed softly as she felt her scruff be lifted up. According to what she'd heard she would be the last to open her eyes. She squinted her eyes open slowly. Light blinded her and she blinked rapidly, "Mama! Mama! MoonKit opened her eyes!" Squealed SundownKit.

SundownKit was a pale orange she with a cream splotches and green eyes. SunriseKit, TwilightKit and DawnKit gathered closely around her. Twilightkit was a she with purplish-black coating with small white freckles and orange eyes. SunriseKit was almost identical to SundownKit except she had blue eyes and small pale blue splotches instead of cream. DawnKit was an orange tabby she with bright blue eyes.

MaggotBreath sighed and said, "Just go play outside or something." All the kits including MoonKit squealed in excitement. Moon'kit was the first to tumble out of the door, knocking over the other kits playing outside, JetKit, DaisyKit, ScratchKit, HoneyKit and FlowerKit.

SundownKit fell on top of MoonKit while she tried to get back off the other kits, then all her littermates tumbled out the nursery and squished the kits at the bottom of the pile. JetKit scrambled out angrily and huffed turning to face MoonKit and SundownKit when they got up.

"You knocked us over!" He squealed angrily in his high-pitched voice. "I didn't mean to JetKit!" MoonKit mumbled. He sighed angrily and walked away. MoonKit blinked her large eyes upset that on her first day out of the nursery she made someone upset.

Her clanmates seemed quiet and there was a high tension. MoonKit had no idea of this tension though and was running around with her littermates playing. "Kits, come back in." They heard their mother call so they piled inside the nursery and was told how their leader was slowly dying and on their last life, so they must be quiet.
