Every cat in ThunderClan was huddled outside the camp panic and fear clearly evident as we all watched the tree worried.

"I want that mouse, it would be a terrible waste" growled Mousefur

"We can't go back inside until that tree falls sorry" said Firestar. Mousefur frowned unhappy and struggled with the cats whom were stopping her from going back into the camp.

"StarClan is going to be unhappy with this waste of food" she hissed. Just as she finished Longtail got up next to me giving me an annoyed huff.

"I'll go get the mouse" he said bounding towards the camp. Fear and worry filled me and I scrambled after him.

"Longtail!" I bounded after him in an attempt to stop him from going in the camp. "Stop" I yelled I said as I bounded in the camp after him.

"There's nothing to worry about I've got the mouse lets g-" he trailed off as the shadow of the falling tree loomed over us. CREAK-. I howled in fear as I witnessed Longtail get crushed and the tree top come crashing at me. I felt pain flood into me and I heard a painful crack of one of my innards sending a horribly sick feeling through me and I drift into unconsciousness.

I woke to a dull feeling. I could hear cats bustling around me the dismay in their voices. I felt something heavy pulled off of me that I didn't know was there and looked around in confusion.

"Briarpaw can you stand?" Jayfeather asked.

"Of course I can" I said in question pushing my front off the ground but found no response from my backside. Confusion waved through me and I tried moving again but nothing. "Huh" I couldn't feel anything just numbness and I tried again, "I-I can't move my legs" I said dread putting a frog in my throat. I looked at Jayfeather laying my ears back in dismay "what's wrong with them" I asked. He frowned

"Nothing is wrong with your legs directly they're bruised, but you did break one of the bones in your back" he told me.

"W-what does that mean" I said I already knew the possible answer.

"You'll never be able to walk properly again"
