Stonekits POV
Bluefur nudged me and my sisters softly. I yawned and looked to my mother, confused why we had to get up. I saw Bluefurs eyes clouding with sorrow but pushed the thought away. Mosskit and Mistykit slowly stood up next to me. Bluefur sighed.
"We're gonna play a game!" She said trying her best to make us happy.
"What game is played this early?" Mosskit asked curiously.
Bluefur took a deep breath looking at each of us before turning to the exit of the nursery. "Shhh!" She said softly Mosskit, Mistykit and I stopped in our tracks inspecting everything. Bluefur smiled. She thought for a moment and turned to us.
"We are playing, Escape camp without anyone noticing."
We all smiled and sneaked towards the exit of camp. I shivered but pushed it away and thought, "Today...I'm a warrior and nothing can stop me!" We kept moving, occasionally stopping to battle Bluefur and have some fun. Eventually I was freezing! The wind cut through my pelt. My pads were frost bitten and cold. I didn't wanna move anymore. Bluefur sniffed the air as if she was looking for something.
"Lie down kits.." Bluefur said through shivers.
I snuggled as close as I could get to her and my sisters. A few minutes later the chattering and shivers stopped. Her kept warm piled together, a big lump of cats.
"W-why did we h-have to play this game?" Mosskit asked uneasily.
"Because we are w-warriors..." Bluefur trailed off
A short time later Bluefur stood up shaking the snow from her pelt. My siblings and I looked up at her. The chilling wind had hit us and we were nothing without her warmth. Mosskit let out a small cry and Mistykit whimpered. I must be strong and withstand this! I thought to myself. I fluffed out my fur to keep hear and snuggled in next to chilly Mosskit.
"Stay here.." Bluefur said and walked off.
Mistykit and I sighed. Mosskit shivered and pushed into the middle of us for more heat. I smiled. I was helping my sisters. It was a good feeling. I looked up to see Bluefur.
"The game is almost over" she says through much pain
Mosskit grunted and heaved herself up. I support her and we walk a bit farther. Mistykit looked at Bluefur, her eyes large and pleading. I wanted to go home! To play with the other kits in the warmth of camp. I knew that this wasn't a game, that we wouldn't go home but I tried to keep my hope. I wanted to be sure Bluefur wasn't lying but I couldn't be. I knew it was a big lie.
"M-Mommy, I'm c-cold!" Mosskit stuttered huddling close to me for warmth.
Mosskit kneeled down and fluffed out her fur but it seemed nothing was working. My sister couldn't keep her warm and I couldn't help her. Bluefur dropped down and pulled Mosskit in. Mistykit and I snuggled near Mosskit. Mistykit and I fell asleep.
Later we felt Bluefur, her face tear streaked, prodding us. I looked around for Mosskit's gray and white pelt but it was nowhere to be found. I took in a deep breath.
"Where's Mosskit?" I asked slowly and Mistykit nodded
"She's sleeping amount the stars..." Bluefur choked out between tears.
We nodded still unsure of what she meant. Suddenly a large tom appeared behind a bush. He walked forward and licked Bluestar's ear. Out of nowhere the tom grabbed me by my scruff and nudged Mistykit away.
"No!!" I yelled and Mistykit bit him trying to get to our mother.
I wailed in terror as Bluefur watched him take us away. I cried staying near Mistykit. I just wanted to go back to ThunderClan camp.
"Help!" I called but she had already gone padding to camp her head down. Why would she leave us? I asked myself. The tom turned to Mistykit and I. He spoke soft and sweetly,
"Don't worry little ones. I am Oakheart and I will protect you with my life. I am your father.
