Tigerstar's Death

I lifted my head. This was the moment. Firestar and Tallstar were waiting, their eyes narrowed as they investigated the cats behind me. I smiled. I knew they weren't expecting me to bring BloodClan. The rogues in Twoleg-place had formed a Clan. I unsheathed my claws and gripped the smooth rock. There was something about their leader I didn't like, he was cold, and taught his Clanmates nothing but blood. I knew I had done the same, but at least I was more gentle with cats around me. There was something in this cat that reminded me of my past.

I nudged my thoughts away with a flick of a tail. I turned to meet Firestar, the kittypet, a flash of memories hit me, I made out when I was a kit, when my father had left the Clan to be a Kittypet!

"Firestar." I greeted warmly, trying to ignore how much my claws were itching to open his throat. "Tallstar." I said, nodding to the WindClan leader. "I have given you much time to think. Now, I am getting impatient and I would like your decision if whether or not would you like to join TigerClan." I could feel hissed of eagerness of ShadowClan, weariness of RiverClan and nothing at all from BloodClan. The strays kept their faces straight, as if awaiting command. I could see a flash of uncertainty in Firestar's eyes and anger in Tallstar's.

"Go on Firestar, you speak for us." Tallstar said gently. Firestar looked at the WindClan leader, then dipped his head before stepping up to face me.

"Thank you Tigerstar," he started politely, I made sure to treasure his cautious start.

He fears me.

"But ThunderClan and WindClan will pass on this... Generous offer." Firestar finished, meeting my gaze defiantly.

"Wrong move Kittypet." I sneered, letting my anger get to me. "BloodClan! Attack!" Nobody moved. "BloodClan, attack!" I said again desperately. What were they doing?

The small black tom stepped forward, meeting my gaze quickly before turning to face Firestar. "I am Scourge, leader of BloodClan." He said, introducing himself. Turning to me, he added, "My warriors take orders from only me, Tigerstar."

I gritted my teeth as Firestar lifted his head to speak. "It is time I reveal the truth about Tigerstar." He said and recited what had happened. As he explained, the memories appeared in my head like a great big flood. After he finished, he looked at me furiously, I could see the moments flooding through his mind too.

"Too late for that, Kittypet." I sneered. "BloodClan, attack!"

Again, no cat moved. Scourge just shot me a cold glare. "We have heard your story." He said, nodding to Firestar, "But tonight, no cat will be attacked, for no battle will happen."

Anger pulsed through me, giving me fiery energy to shred the little cat. "Traitor!" I screeched, flinging myself at him, claws outstretched to shred him apart. I almost gasped in shock aloud as he darted under me. Despite his size, he was a remarkable fighter. I tried fighting, I really did, but I had underestimated him and was going to die because of it.

I let out an agonized scream as his reinforced claws sliced down my throat to tail neatly. I thrashed as I landed, pain shooting through me head through tail-tip to head. I felt myself go into a dizzying darkness. Then quickly away, only about to thrash for a few moments and try to scream (which was cu off due to blood gargling in my throat) before quickly entering the dizzying darkness again.

Awake... Darkness.
Awake... Darkness.
Awake... Darkness.

And before I knew it, I didn't wake up at Fourtrees, but in a dark forest. The Dark Forest.
