Wolfkit's P.O.V

I glanced at Smallkit and Runningkit. "Ready guys?" I asked. Smallkit grinned. " We're the bravest kits ever! We get to explore the territory! " Runningkit whispered " Quiet! Someone might hear us!" The three of us padded out of the camp, ready to explore.

We continued walking in the meadow. The grass was tall and peaceful. There was a cool breeze. I smiled, " Wow! I love our territory! I'm gonna be the best warrior ever! " Runningkit laughed, " No, I will! " He yowled. Smallkit looked at us. " I will be the best warrior ever, not either of you fuzz balls! " We started to play fight. It was fun, and I laughed. Then things went wrong.

Smallkit stumbled for a second, and I jumped on him. Suddenly, he fell into a river! " Help!! " He cried. " I'm coming, don't worry! " Runningkit yowled. He jumped in. " Wait! " I yowled, but it was too late. He too was swept away, crying as he was. I knew what I had to do. I was the best warrior. I had to save them! I jumped in.....

..... And was swept away. Water rushed in my mouth and ears. My paw hit a rock. Finally, I surfaced. I saw my siblings close to me. I also saw three older cats. I tried to yowl for help, but water rushed into my mouth. My siblings were sinking, too. Then, the cats walked away. Despite all my trying, the river was too strong. I saw the world go black, and then I was greeted by a strange cat. " Come with me " He mewed. Slowly I followed him.... Followed him up a trail of stars.
