The Power of Three Arc

Ah. Hollyleaf, Hollyleaf, Hollyleaf. Miss Warrior Code.

So, Hollyleaf was born along with two brothers, Jayfeather and Lionblaze. Her two brothers discovered that they had special powers, and that they were part of a prophecy that called for three cats that could hold "the power of stars in their paws". Hollyleaf, however, only ever seemed to have a strong belief in the warrior code as her power.
So then, suddenly, a forest fire breaks out in the ThunderClan forest, and Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf are trapped in a circle of flames. Squirrelflight is trying to save her "kits", and Ashfur jumps up to help her get them to safety-- or so they thought.
So then Ashfur basically tries to murder the three littermates in the fire because he wanted Squirrelflight to feel how he felt when she chose Brambleclaw over him, even though he's like a Kabajillion years older than her. Then that causes Squirrelflight to reveal that they aren't her real kits, and everything goes downhill from there. Ashfur threatens to tell everyone at the gathering about how Squirrelflight is not really their mother, which, very very stupidly, Hollyleaf stops by, you guessed it, dousing Ashfur's flame altogether, leaving him floating in the river, dead.
So then Jayfeather discovers that Leafpool is their mother and Crowfeather is their father, which basically made Hollyleaf go insane. I mean, Miss Warrior code, the product of a MEDICINE CAT and a cat from another clan, at that?
So she runs off into the tunnels which collapse behind her, making them believe she was dead.
So then later in the series they discover that she's been living in the tunnels with Fallen Leaves and she comes back up to live with ThunderClan, eventually dying in the Great Battle against the Dark Forest, sacrificing herself for Ivypool.

Alrighty then. Where to begin with Hollyleaf?
I actually really liked Hollyleaf as a character. She had very good character development, and as you progressed through the books, you could actually tell that the things that happened to her influenced her behavior and such. I mean, after she learned that Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw were not their parents, she basically started to freak out, not even knowing what to think. She and her two brothers even thought that they might not have been descendants of Firestar, so basically their whole reality just crumbled.
But the one things that bothered me the most was how throughout the whole series, Hollyleaf was obsessed about the Warrior Code, following it word for word and treating it like it was royalty. But then, she ends up breaking the code that she loves ever so much by killing Ashfur, and then LYING about it in the process. And then, to make things worse, in the middle of a gathering, she tells everyone about Squirrelflight and Leafpool's secret-- the exact reason why she killed Ashfur, so that the secret wouldn't get out! At the end, I felt like her character just completely broke into two, the Hollyleaf we once knew and loved, gone.

Overall, I'd give Hollyleaf a 9/10. She was an amazing character. But then suddenly, at the end of The Power Of Three arc, she just goes against literally everything that she believed in, with no reason whatsoever. I mean, I know that the secret had to come out eventually, or else the story development would have just went kaput. But still, I think they could've revealed it in a different way.
