Everyone's favorite Gary Stu. Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. Firestar.
So, Firestar originally started out as Rusty-- a kitty pet that lived right by the woods-- and he ventures into clan territory one day, being confronted by Bluestar, Lionheart, and Graypaw. Bluestar then invites him to join the clan, much to Graypaw's protest. Lionheart and the clan leader decide to give Rusty a day to decide whether or not to join ThunderClan.

So, Firestar's overall character. In the first arc, he was just trying to make a life for himself, Y'know? But because he was born a kittypet, he was never truly accepted, blah blah blah. I mean, even when Bluestar appointed him deputy, cats were still skeptical! But then suddenly, boom, Bluestar's dead, and then everyone started to respect him, even though he had been appointed deputy after moonhigh, which the clan thought meant he wasn't supposed to be deputy.
So then he becomes leader, and everything unique and genuinely interesting about his character just... dies.
The Fireheart we once knew, his flaws and all, was gone, replaced with this horrific Gary Stu that is super op, courageous, and perfect in every way. I mean, did he really, REALLY have to be the fourth cat in the power of three prophecy? I mean, C'MON! He already had his own prophecy, saving the clans from Scourge(who happens to be his half-brother) and Tigerstar, his mortal enemy.
I have to admit, when Firestar killed Tigerstar, A part of me died on the inside. I mean, who doesn't like good old Tigerstar? He actually has a good backstory and is NOT a Gary Stu. He has flaws, unlike Perfectstar here.
It's sad to say, but when Firestar died I was actually kind of... relieved? I honestly like Brambleclaw way better than Firestar, and thought he would make a better leader. And it was really touching how he made Squirrelflight the deputy. <3

Overall, as a character, I'd probably give Firestar a... 7/10.
Only a seven because in the first arc, he was actually some cat to relate to. He had flaws and was just trying to fit in with the cats around him. In the second arc he was alright, but his flaws started to fade. Then in three, four, and five, everything about his character just went downhill.
