Name: Cypressstar

Nice name. I don't usually hear the name Cypress.

Gender: Tom

Personality: Cypressstar is laidback and has a sense of humour. He's forgiving and trusting, and polite. He tends to look at things from every angle before making a decision. He would rather not hurt anyone and doesn't like fights. He'll do ridiculous things to avoid fights if not confronted about it. He's pushy when he knows he's right, and he acts abnormally tired for someone his age. (He's a rather young leader, though there's reasoning behind that.)

He sounds like a great leader. Good mix of good and bad traits.

Appearance: Cypressstar is a dark russet colour, with short fur, and amber eyes. He's fairly slim and lacking in muscle.

His appearance sounds like he would be a bad fighter. Fits the personality and name.

Backstory: As a kit, Cypressstar didn't enjoy play fighting with the other kits. He didn't care much for herbs either. The smell bothered him. During fights, Cypressstar could usually be found trying to break it up. Most of the time fights occurred between his sister, Cherrykit, and one of his best friends, Finchkit. Fernkit, Finchkit's sister and Cypressstar's other best friend, usually helped Cypressstar break the fighting up. Finally, when the time came for the kits to be apprentices, Cypresskit was made a PeaceKeeper Apprentice. (Peacekeepers just keep the peace among the clans in hopes of avoiding unnecessary wars. Each Clan has 1-2, a mentor and an apprentice) his sister was made a warrior apprentice, and Fernkit and Finchkit were made Medicine Cat Apprentices. Cherrypaw and Finchpaw eventually put aside their past squabbles and the four usually could be seen in a corner of camp together. Sometimes Cherrypaw was teaching the other three battle moves, sometimes Finchpaw and Fernpaw were sharing their knowledge about herbs, and sometimes Cypresspaw would teach them signs of bluffing and ways to avoid confrontation. Then the Dark forest took over. The clans began training in the Dark Forest but were still wary enough to forbid their apprentices from going. StarClan eventually called together the apprentices from all the clans and sent them on a quest to establish new clans elsewhere. The apprentices took the kits with them when they left and began a long journey to their new territory. Along the way, Cypressstar befriended Skypaw, a grouchy half-deaf warrior apprentice, Creekpaw, a sharp-tongued but reliable warrior apprentice who went mute halfway through the journey, and more, though these two were his closest friends aside from the apprentices of his Clan. Early on, Cypressstar stood out as a natural leader among the apprentices. He kept everyone calm, on track, and (mostly) alive. They lost his sister Cherrypaw, and one of the kits, but that's it. Halfway through their journey, he received his warrior name, Cypresswatcher. Creekpaw, now Creekdusk, stopped speaking, which resulted in confusion among the group. Cypressstar assisted Creekdusk and Tinypaw, Creekdusk's best friend and crush, in figuring out how to communicate without Creekdusk as of this new development. It worked, and Creekdusk remains one of Cypressstar's good friends. Finally, the group arrived at their destination. After a little discussion, it was agreed that Cypressstar should be their leader. He accepted and made Skypaw, now Skysight, his Not long after camp construction, Finchshade died during kitting. Fernstep and Cypressstar grieved deeply over the loss. Cypressstar In the future went on to give one of Finchshade's kits more chances than most of the Clan thought he should've been given. This turned out in his favour in the end, as it not only earned Creekdusk the respect most of the clan refused to give him, but the Clan got an excellent warrior out of the apprentice Creekdusk mentored.

Wow, great backstory. I like the rank, 'Peacekeeper'. So sad about Finchshade and Cherrypaw though.

Kits: None.

I rate Cypressstar 90/100. There are a few bits I don't understand like how Fernstep is his mate as well as a medicine cat but it's still a great cat. I look forward to reading the book soon.
