ScourgeXHolly

(Don't ship)

Hollyleaf opened her eyes and saw a tiny black tom standing by her. His eyes were cold as he looked down at the black ThunderClan she-cat. Hollyleaf's green eyes filled up with fear as this cat looked scary to her.

"Do not be afraid," the tom said in a soft, soothing voice. Hollyleaf blinked.

"Wh-who are you?" she asked this strange tom.

"I am Scourge--"

"You're the evil leader of BloodClan!" Hollyleaf gasped.

"Yes, but I have changed," Scourge replied quickly.

"Where am I, anyway? Shouldn't I be in StarClan?" Hollyleaf questioned.

"This is where a cat's spirit goes instead of StarClan or the Dark Forest. If they died twice, StarClan cats are separated from the Dark Forest and cats who do not have a belief in StarClan much like me."

"But I--" Hollyleaf was cut off by Scourge's black tail.

"You were sent here for a reason, Hollyleaf," he mewed.

"How do you know my name?"

"I have watched Firestar and his pathetic kin since my death, that's why I know your name. I know much about you."

"I am pathetic..." Hollyleaf mewed quietly with sadness in her green eyes as she looked away.

"I meant every cat of Firestar's kin except from you is pathetic," Scourge quickly said.

"Tiny?" a voice said and Scourge and Hollyleaf turned, seeing a cat looking much like the great and famous Firestar.

"Jake?" Scourge called the tom's name. Jake nodded. Scourge had always been Jake's favourite out of him, Ruby and Socks. Scourge had cared about Jake as he did not treat him like a measly kit like his littermates.

"I think you should know the truth," Jake began. Scourge stared at his father.

"What truth?"

"Rusty-Firestar - is your half brother." Scourge's eyes went wide.

"I'm kin of that?" Jake nodded. "I can't be! I hate that cat!"

"I'm sorry, but he is. I should have told you sooner before you ran away from your Twolegs." Scourge's eyes began to blaze.

"You never did care about me! That's why you left me alone with Ruby and Socks! You like Firestar more than me, that's why you abandoned me!" he growled.

"No, Tiny. I came to see you but Quince said you vanished. I tried looking for you and heard that this 'Scourge' had appeared since your disappearance. I thought Scourge was you - and I would never abandon you at all. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you," Jake replied. Scourge glared at his father and then ran away. Hollyleaf watched as the once BloodClan leader ran away. She felt sorry for the tom and then decided to run after him.

Hollyleaf found Scourge by a tree stump with his claws digging into the bark. She noticed anger filling up in his eyes.

"Scourge?"

"Get away," Scourge snarled. Hollyleaf did not listen and sat by him. She rested her tail-tip on Scourge's shoulder, her eyes full of symphony.

"I'm sorry Firestar's your half brother," she began, "but sometimes there's nothing we can do about it. I was shocked and angry to know Crowfeather of WindClan and Leafpool, the medicine cat at the time, were my parents. You have to be strong, and I know you are from what I heard about you." Scourge lifted his head up and looked at Hollyleaf.

"Why do you care about me? I'm evil and you're not," he asked.

"I understand what you're going through right now. It's basically like what happened to me. You just have to forget about it and you'll be okay," Hollyleaf smiled. "Are there any prey in this place?"

"Yeah," Scourge replied.

"Why don't we go hunting? You might just need that."

"But I can't hunt," Scourge said.

"How did you get prey?"

"I got other cats to get me some," Scourge replied.

"I can teach you how to hunt, then," Hollyleaf mewed.

"Okay." Hollyleaf began walking and Scourge followed closely. Hollyleaf paused by a clearing and turned to Scourge. "Try seeing if you can scent any prey." Scourge lifted his black head up into the air and began sniffing. He could scent something; a mouse.

"I can scent a mouse," he told Hollyleaf.

"Okay. Now drop down into a crouch with your belly touching the ground," Hollyleaf instructed. Scourge dropped into a crouch with his belly fur touching the ground. "Now crawl forward until the mouse is inside, making sure your tail is low and you don't step on a twig or something." Scourge began crawling forward. Hollyleaf watched as Scourge was near the mouse and he pounced, unsheathing his dog teeth claws. He sank them into the mouse's neck and the animal lay limp. Hollyleaf's eyes glittered.

"That was great!" she praised the BloodClan leader. Scourge looked at Hollyleaf with happiness in his eyes. Maybe Scourge isn't as bad as cats say, Hollyleaf thought.

A black-and-white tom stepped from the trees which surrounded the clearing Scourge and Hollyleaf were in.

"Scourge? Why are you with a she-cat when you're supposed to be with BloodClan?" Scourge turned his head.

"Bone, what are you doing here? I also don't remember calling a meeting for BloodClan."

"Maybe Scourge didn't," Hollyleaf mewed to the BloodClan deputy. Bone turned his gaze to the black she-cat.

"What would you know? You're new here," he snapped and then walked away.

"Just ignore Bone," Scourge told Hollyleaf, who gave a nod. "Thanks for teaching me how to catch my own prey, by the way. I don't think any cat has been kinder to me than you."

"It was nothing," Hollyleaf mewed. "You don't actually seem bad as cats have said about you."

"If only you knew," Scourge murmured as he looked at the ground.

"Knew what?" Scourge looked up.

"Nothing."

"Scourge?"

"Yes, Hollyleaf?"

"If you were alive during my time, I'd be happy to join BloodClan." Scourge blinked.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because, well, I love you," Hollyleaf said.

"Really? After all you've heard about me?"

"Of course," Hollyleaf mewed.

"Well, I love you too, Hollyleaf," Scourge smiled. But how would you react if I killed a spirit? I haven't changed at all and I'm being kind to you as I love you and you are kind to me in return. If you knew how much I love to kill my enemies. . .
