JayXHalf

(Absolutely don't ship)

Jayfeather was curled into a clump of grey tabby fur on his mossy nest, his head tucked on his paws. He stared blankly with his blind blue eyes outside the medicine den. He let out a sigh. It had been a few moons since Jayfeather had seen Half Moon, the love of his life. Did the ancient she-cat abandon him like Rock once did? Jayfeather began drowsy and eventually closed his eyes, shutting the world away from him.

ThunderClan's medicine cat found himself in a misty forest. He instantly recognised this place to be part of the territory of StarClan. A white tail tapped Jayfeather on the shoulder and he jerked up, spinning around with a bristling pelt. His grey tabby pelt rested flat as he realised it was just Half Moon. Happiness filled Jayfeather's heart as he was glad to see the white she-cat again. It seemed like forever since he had last saw Half Moon. The white she-cat's green eyes sparked up with warmth and she had a small smile on her face.

"I'm so glad to see you, Jay's Wing," Half Moon mewed.

"And I am glad to see you, Half Moon," Jayfeather smiled. "I thought you abandoned me."

"You should know I'd never do that to you."

"Of course. I was mouse-brained to think you did."

"I will always be waiting here for you, Jay's Wing. You do know that, right?" Jayfeather nodded.

"And I'll never forget you." Half Moon sat on the ground and wrapped her white tail neatly around her paws while her green eyes continued to spark.

"I am so proud of you for saving the Clans," she purred, changing the subject.

"Well, I do have the power of stars in my paws, and it is my destiny. . . But now I have no idea what my destiny is now, seeing that I destroyed the Dark Forest," Jayfeather mewed.

"You have more of a destiny ahead of you. Every cat lives with one, and even if they do complete it, that's just bound to be the start of it," Half Moon replied. "Like how I was destined to be the first Stoneteller, and I thank you for that."

"I guess you're right," Jayfeather said.

The territory of StarClan now began to fade, along with Half Moon.

"I love you, Jay's Wing," Half Moon murmured.

"I love you too!" Jayfeather called out and knew Half Moon had heard, even though she had faded from his sight like everything else.
