GreyXSilver
(Absolutely don't ship)
The white stars were shining in the dark sky, the moon resting on the treetops, shining even brighter and reflecting in a river which ran slowly. The breeze was silent, blowing the river gently. A beautiful silver she-cat got into the water, starting to swim, her blue eyes shining beautifully against the night. The RiverClan she-cat got out of the water, shaking the water off of her pelt, and looked around.
"Greystripe?" she called out, and ears perked up further ahead. A grey tom slid out from bushes, his amber eyes shining.
"Hello, Silverstream," Greystripe greeted the silver she-cat. The RiverClan warrior returned her mate's greeting, sitting and neatly wrapping her tail around her paws. Silverstream's pelt was shining.
"I'm expecting kits -- our kits," she announced happily, her blue eyes full of warmth.
"Great!" Greystripe purred at the news he had just heard. But then the warmth from the RiverClan she-cat's eyes started to fade. Greystripe stared at her as she let out a sigh.
"But I'm afraid Crookedstar is becoming suspicious about me sneaking out to see you. He almost followed me out here last time we met up. I managed to convince him I was just trying to get some fish," Silverstream told the grey ThunderClan tom. Greystripe knew that Crookedstar, the RiverClan leader, was Silverstream's father.
"What would happen if he did find out about us?" Greystripe asked. Silverstream hesitated.
"I'm not sure, but all I know is that he'd be angry," she then mewed.
"Silverstream!" a voice hissed and Greystripe and Silverstream swung there heads. Across the riverbank, a pale tabby with a twisted jaw slid into the water.
Crookedstar.
"Cr-Crookedstar!" Silverstream exclaimed with surprise. No cat had followed her when she was going to see Greystripe. The RiverClan leader got out of the water.
"Who's -- a ThunderClan warrior?!" Crookedstar's whiskers twitched, his eyes beginning to fill with fury. "After all these moons, you've been breaking the warrior code?"
"Well, I --"
"Silverstream, get back to camp right now!" Crookedstar said, his voice full of anger, yet there was shock. Silverstream stared at her father and then padded away. The tabby leader then turned his gaze to Greystripe. "And you better get back to yours before any other cat finds out." Greystripe nodded and walked away. Crookedstar turned, stalking back to the RiverClan camp.
