Cloudstar's eyes glittered with warmth as he recognised a familiar brown she-cat up ahead of him.

"Birdflight!" he called and the she-cat looked over her shoulder.

"Cloudstar!" The two mates raced over to each other and nuzzled each other.

"I'm so happy to see you again," Cloudstar purred. He hadn't seen his beloved mate for a very long time.

"And I'm happy to see you," Birdflight purred.

"To be honest, I thought I would never get to see you again," the former SkyClan leader mewed. Birdflight gave a nod.

"I did promise I would be waiting for you, my love."

"You never break a promise." Birdflight once again nodded.

"Cloudstar!" two familiar voices squeaked. Cloudstar looked past Birdflight to see two tiny kits racing towards him. Gorsekit and Spottedkit!

The two kits' pelts were starry and their eyes sparked up with happiness to be reunited with their father.

"I'm so glad to see you two again," Cloudstar told his two kits. "I'm so sorry to leave you three behind. I really, really am."

"You did what was best, Cloudstar," Birdflight told her mate. "I am proud of you for that." The two cats twined their tails. Now they were truly together forever once and for all.

They began trotting away, Gorsekit and Spottedkit skipping happily behind.
