Chapter 1

Warrior - an Overwatch/warrior cats fan-fiction

A week has passed since Widowmaker broke Lenas coronal accelerator. Tracer was scared that she might disappear, since Winston still hadn't managed to fix it. Every day, every night, all she had been doing was watching the clock on her wall. She kept track of every second, every minute, so she knew she didn't disappear. She barely ate, only a sandwich or maybe a fruit per day, so she could watch the time. Everyone was getting worried, since it felt like she already was gone, in her own mind.

The thing nobody knew, is the real reason she acted like this, was that Widowmaker actually hurt her.

They didn't know what she felt about the Talon assassin. They didn't know she had loved her. They didn't know, that she once was, her Amelie.

(Chapter 1 part 2)

"Lena!!! Come out here! We finally fixed the accelerator!" someone shouted from the door. She didn't want to come out. She wanted to think. After some silence, the door behind her opened.

"You can't stay there all day, Lena", Hanas voice came from behind her.

Why not?

"Don't be like this, Lena!", said another voice. Winston. Now Lena wanted to turn around, to jump into her friend's arms, but instead she just started crying.

"Awww! Cmon! We don't wanna see you like this!", said Hana. Then why don't they just go away?

Lena didn't move.

She couldn't. Now she was starting to feel panicked, because last time this happened, she disappeared.

No!

She felt nothing. Everything went white. Where am I? Its like some kind of, void? It wasn't like this the last time!

Lena was getting scared. She couldn't move, at least it felt like it. She couldn't speak, or she just didn't hear her own voice. It was like, she was, dead. Gone. Forever.

And I didn't even get to say goodbye...

If Lena could cry, she did. It felt like hours, days, months, and then....

"Hello Lena Tracer Oxton. Im happy to see you got here unharmed. I have a job for you to do." What's that?

"Don't be afraid, Lena Oxton, you'll be back after I'm done with what I came for. I guess I know why you're so scared. 'Who are you? Why cant i see you? Where are we?'". The voice laughed, and Lena finally saw something that wasn't blinding white. It looked like a small grey cat.

Now Lena wanted to talk, and to her surprise, she did. "Are you a cat? Whats my 'job' and how did I get here?", she said.

The cat walked up to her, looking into her with pink eyes, and said; "Lena Oxton, so nervous, so scared, but still she dares to talk. Curiosity might kill you one day, 'ya know."

The cat, who now were sitting about one foot from Lena, continued.

"Your mission will be easy, and you will get great rewards. But I will also test you. Your mission leads: 'In the lake, there is a island with a great oak in the middle. You shall meet me there, in three sunrises at moonhigh. However you get there is not my concern, but I expect that you at least will try. Don't forget your task.' Did Lena Oxton understand?".

Lena nodded, and everything went black.

(Chap 1 part 4)

Was that, real? And where am I now?

Lena tried to open her eyes, but the effort was to tiring. She tried again, but only her right eye opened. She felt heavy, and saw that her coronal accelerator was on, and she knew it was kind of heavy. She still was lonely, which  made her scared.

She felt like she was going to cry, but then she heard the familiar, soothing, voice. "Lena.... You're.... Awake...".

It was Winston. Lena wanted to answer him, but all that came out was a whimper.

What happened?

"Can you move? Can you try do something? Can you, hear me?", it wasn't Winston this time. It was Angela.

Why Angela? Can't It just be Winston?

All she did, was nothing but whimper again. At least she tried.

"Let me be alone with her for a minute, I'll tell you if something happens", Winston suddenly said.

Yes! Thank you, big bro!

Lena, who now managed to move her hand a little up, grunted with the small effort.

"Lena stop! It's ok, I'm here.", Winston immediately said, as he grabbed her hand.

Lena was happy, feeling Winstons warm hand again. Then a question came in her head. How long were I gone? And by sunrises, did the cat mean days?

She opened her mouth, and said "Ow lo I goe?".
At her surprise, Winston laughed. "Tiz i o unny!", she grunted out.
"Rest, Lena. You need it.", he said. "And you've been away for about three months".

THREE MONTHS!?!?!?!?

As if Winston read her mind, he said: "Nothing important happened while you were gone, everything was quite calm.", he said.

"Y can't I ope lef eye?", she said.

"Why you can't open your left eye?", Winston copied. Lena nodded and he sighed.

"Are you joking? It's already open.", he said.

Now Lena was panicking. "Ay yu jokg?", she let out. Now Winston looked worried.

"You really can't see with it? Have you tried to close your right eye and try see?".

Lena did what he said, then shook her head. Winston seemed kind of panicked to, which made Lena worry.

The cat would test me. Maybe this is my test? Being blind with one eye?

"An I o y roo?", she gruned. "Can you try speak clearer? This one I can't translate.", Winston said. "An i go o my room?", she said, and this time Winston seemed to get it. "Not yet, i'm afraid. Angela wants to make sure you are OK."

Dammit.

"I'll get her now, so it won't take that long though!", Winston said cheerfully.

(Chap 1 part 5)

After a while, Angela came in. Winston probably got to sleep, due to the time Lena saw on the wall clock.

"I'm just going to take a blood sample, and ask some questions", Angela said.

She turned away, and Lena sighed.

Why did the cat choose me? Who are the cat? Does it even have a name? I mean, it didn't look like it had a owner, so maybe it is a wild cat? Maybe it lives in the forest?

Or maybe it is a ghost! Or, as Winston says 'ghosts doesn't exist'. If i'd just dare to question the cat.

"Hey! Are you in there? Hello?", Came from her right. Angela was done, and by the thing she just said, Lena missed something. "Orry! I as tining!!", she said.

Her throat suddenly started aching, and Lena let out a grunt. "Can you tell me where your pain is?", Angela immediately said.

Lena slowly lifted her finger and pointed at her throat. Angela turned around, and got something. "Here, eat this, it will soothe your pain", was all she said. It tasted bitter, but Lena swallowed.

Now Angela was looking at her blind eye. "I can fix it, but it will be painful. And i mean it.", she mumbled. Then she looked down at the scared look of Lena and immediately said; "You don't have to!"

Lena, who now actually sat up, looked Angela in the eyes.

"You have to make me a eyepatch that looks just like Anas!!!!", she said.

"Waiiiit.... You can speak normal?", The doctor answered, a surprised look on her face. "I guess so. My throat was stinging whenever I talked, so that might be why I couldn't talk properly." Lena answered.

"OK, I think you can go to sleep, but i'll make sure to check you tomorrow!", she said.
