A plane lands into a nearby airport, landing in the region known as Alola. Many passenger slowly rise from their slumber, and begin walking and/or hurrying towards the plane's exit.

"Ash, wake up! We're here, we're in Alola!" Serena said, desperately shaking Ash to wake him up.

It's no use, Ash refused to rise from slumber. He tossed and turned, violently shaking his arms in the air to prevent Serena from waking him.

"Sorry Ash, you made me do this." Serena said, giving Pikachu a worried stare before commanding him.

"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu hesitantly focused on Ash's sleeping state before charging up his special, electric attack. "Pikachu!" Pikachu screamed before unleashing a violent thunderbolt upon his Trainer.

As soon as the sleeping adventurer took the hit, he screamed painfully before falling out of his seat. Before Ash could scold Pikachu, the plane's captain rushed towards the area.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you three, but it's time for you to exit the premises." The captain said, impatiently tapping his foot on the ground.

Ash groggily mumbled under his breath before Serena helped him to his feet. " I apologize sir. I was waking up my friend. " Serena replied, setting Pikachu on Ash's head.

Weirdly, the captain smirked at this comment, "Miss, I know a couple when I see one."

After hearing the captain's words, Serena blushed heavily as she pulled Ash out of the plane. Ash hissed as the sun's bright rays shined directly on his eyes.

"Pikachu, can you make sure Ash doesn't fall down the steps, he left his bag in his seat." Serena said, giving Pikachu a concerned look.

Pikachu simply nodded and jumped on Ash's shoulder as he rubbed his eyes roughly. Serena hurried in back into the plane, avoiding eye contact with the captain.

"H-Hey Pikachu, what's going on?" Ash asked his electric type partner, finally opening his eyes.

Pikachu pointed towards the gate to Alola, Pikipecks flew through the air, the sight of the Alolan Pokemon quickly caught the eye of Ash Ketchum, his eyes radiated with excitement.

"So, we're finally here! HELLO ALOLA REGION!!! ASH FROM PALLET TOWN IS FINALLY HERE!" Ash screamed, greeting the region with pride!

"PIKACHU!" Pikachu screamed, mimicking his Trainer.

The citizens of Alola gave Ash peculiar expressions before continuing with their island activities.

"Nostalgia, feels good! Right buddy?" Ash asked Pikachu, placing his Kalos hat on Pikachu's head.

Pikachu nodded in agreement, recalling every single one of the those precious memories. Kalos was the closes the two ever got to winning a League. "I'll never forget that battle." Ash said, placing his hand on his chest in pride.

Suddenly, a webbed hand was placed on his shoulder. Ash turned around, and realized that the Pokemon standing in front of him was his loyal companion, Greninja.

"Hey Greninja! How was your sleep?" Ash said, shaking Greninja's hand.

Greninja nodded, meaning that the Ninja Frog was well rested. The three of them looked around, admiring everything that Alola's visuals had to offer.

Ash couldn't contain his excitement, a new region meant more places to explore, new gym leaders, and a whole new start!

"Come on guys, let's g-"

"Oh no you don't!" Serena said as she swiftly grabbed Ash's hand.

Ash was pretty confused by his companions actions, he desperately wanted his journey to begin. He tried to shake out of her grasp violently, but the boy eventually tired himself out.

"Oh Ash, you don't even know your reason for coming here, don't you remember what just happened 3 days ago?"

...

"The Team Flare Crisis..." Ash said, face palming, realizing his mistake.

"Yep. We're here to relax for a little while, I really don't want you throwing yourself into danger."

Ash didn't respond, he just observed the rocks on the ground, disappointedly. Serena refused to see Ash upset, she automatically got an idea.

"Hey Ash, I'll race you to that gate all the way over there." Serena whispered in the boys ear, while pointing to a far distance gate.

Ash's eyes lit up with excitement, he was always up for a challenge. "Your on!" Ash replied, pumping his fist into the air.

"Ready, set, GO!"

....

The two companions hurried towards the gate, with no surprise, Ash Ketchum was the victor!

"Yeah!" Ash screamed, pumping his fist into the air once more.

"You only won cause your bag slowed me down." Serena claimed, as she tossed Ash his blue colored bag.

Ash looked at the new bag as he cocked his head in confusion, "Serena where's my other bag?" Ash asked, observing his soon to be, bag for Alola.

"Well, I hope you didn't mind. I packed you and me some clothes to wear for our journey in Alola." Serena replied, scratching her heated cheeks.

Ash began to observe the new outfit, his expression looking quite, odd. Serena felt horribly sorry for not informing him before hand. " I'm so sorry, Ash I knew I shou-" Serena's sentence was interrupted by Ash hugging her.

"I love it! Thanks Serena!" Ash shouted, swinging her around happily. Serena didn't process words, she just stood there, possibly being the most flustered person in the area.

"I'd never thought I'd see the day Ash got excited over clothes. Most of this excitement is probably traveling to Alola. Guess I did something right!" Serena thought.

"He's still dense though..."

Ash finally set Serena down as the two observed the Alola Gate in awe. "Sere, I hope you don't mind, sense were both on this road, we should knock together."

Serena blushed slightly at the thought, be fully understood what Ash meant. "Sure, of Course!"
The two Trainers knocked on the Gate's doors in sync, waiting for the gate to be opened.

The Gate wasn't being opened for a while, so it gave the two the time to either think or chat. Ash chatted with his Pokemon about their future journey in Alola. Serena's thoughts weren't so pleasant...

"What am I going to do?" Serena thought, dealer trying not to clench her hair in a knot. She read the informative text on her phone, she was extremely torn.

The next performance for a Princess Key began next month, but she wanted to stay with Ash for a while. She still can't decide what she wants to do chase her crush or her dream. Ash helped Serena discover her dream, he means the world to her.

Making people smile by taking the stage, being with her Pokemon, and becoming Kalos Queen! Serena wants to reach for both Ash and Kalos Queen, she might have to leave one behind.

Ash noticed Serena's nervous expression, he placed a hand on her shoulder giving her a concerned look. "You alright Serena?"

"Y-Yeah! I'm fine Ash, just waiting for this gate to open." Serena replied, nervously placing her finger on her cheek.

"Alright." Ash said, unsatisfied with her answer.

Suddenly, the gate was opened, the two were greeted by a girl with Green hair. "Welcome to the Alola Region!" The green-haired girl shouted enthusiastically.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you! I'm Ash, these are my partners, Pikachu and Greninja." Ash said, placing an arm on Greninja's shoulder while petting Pikachu.

Ash's Pokemon greeted the girl known as Mallow happily, she used an Alolan Pokedex to identify Greninja and Pikachu.

"Hello, I'm Serena." Serena held her hand out to greet Mallow. Suddenly, the girl's eyes radiated with excitement!

"OMG! You that girl who almost became Kalos Queen!" Mallow shouted, nearly dislocating Serena's arm by shaking her hand. "Well, I-I didn't think I would be known by someone in Alola. Besides, I'm not that great." Serena said, scratching her head nervously.

"Are you kidding me! Your awesome!" Mallow screamed, bouncing up and down excitedly.

"She's right, your amazing Serena!" Ash said, placing an arm on Serena's shoulder.

"Hehe, T-Thanks Ash."

....

"Now, Tour's Over!" Mallow said, stretching her arms. Ash and Serena set their bags down in a place that resembled a Pokemon Center. "Alright, thanks so much Mallow!" Ash said, munching on some Pokepuffs.

"No problem! Just let me know If you need anything!" Mallow said as she exited the building.Serena looked down toward the blue ribbon tied to to her wrist. "I have to tell him."

"Excuse me Ash."

"Yeah Serena?" Ash replied, using a napkin to wipe the Pokepuffs crumbs off of his face.

"Can we tal-"

Suddenly, Mallow came rushing back in, a small flier found in her hand. "Have you guys heard of Alola High!?"

"What's Alola High?"
