As I write this I question why I think for a moment this will work. Surely everyone will think this is a ridiculous idea even if it has worked by other people. So Female Primarchs, the idea has always interested me and I was surprised the stories using the concept were for the most part good. For months I've thought about trying my hand at it, however I always hesitated. That being said I might as well throw the idea out there and see what people think. If they hate it, I can just scrap the whole thing. With that said, I'm not a scholar when it comes to Warhammer lore, so please be gentle on me with the inaccuracies. I'm turning the Emperor and the Primarchs into girls so I think I deserve a little leniency.

Lore

Sword of Terra: The successors of the Thunder Warriors and the proof of concept for the Space Marines. The Sword of Terra is a Legion without a Matriarch, their Gene Seed instead being created using the DNA of the finest military minds in Terra's history. The Legion has been split up into three Divisions or Chapters, each one specializing in its own form of warfare. In place of a Matriarch, the Sword of Terra is led by the three Chapter Masters, commonly referred to as the Three Generals of Terra. Despite their different approaches to combat, the three Chapters work well as a united front. The Sword of Terra is a Fleet-Based Legion, constantly on the move, ready to be deployed where the Empress needs them. They are designated as Legion Zero.

Quote: We are the Sword that Empress wields against her enemies, cutting all who threaten the Imperium in twain. With the tactics of the Ancient War Masters of Terra guiding us, we adapt tradition to dominate all threats hiding amongst the stars. Perfectus Bellica. (Perfected Warfare).

Three Chapters

Radiant Spear: One of the Three Chapters of the Sword of Terra. Specializing in Infantry Warfare, Guerrilla Warfare, and Evacuation. The Space Marines of the Radiant Spear pride themselves on their ability to quickly drop onto the battlefield, push back enemy forces and establish a foothold on any given planet. Once a foothold is established, they move on to supporting the primary Imperium fighting force on the planet. They primarily utilize scout bikes and transports alongside boots on the ground infantry. The Radiant Spear are the first into battle and the last out of it.

Bronze Mastodons: One of the Three Chapters of the Sword of Terra. Specializing in Armored Warfare, Defensive Warfare, and vehicle repair the Bronze Mastodons are Tank Specialists who bombard their enemies with barrages of heavy ordnance. Favoring vehicles such as the Predator Tank, Gladiator Tanks, Vindicator Tanks, and Stalkers. The Bronze Mastodons favor bombarding the opposition before rolling forward as an armored wall to fully smash enemy defenses.

Quote: We are the quake that shatters the ground beneath our enemy's feet. An unrelenting assault that leaves little hope for escape or survival. Any who oppose the Imperium and the Empress shall swiftly meet oblivion whether it be through bombardment or our earth shaking charge. Invictus Ostes! (Unstoppable Quake)

Red Feathers: One of the Three Chapters of the Sword of Terra. Specializing in Aerial Warfare, Airborne Warfare, Reconnaissance, and Stealth Warfare. The Red Feathers combat aerial threats with Nephilim Jetfighters and Fire Raptor Gunships. Their secondary tactic is dropping Battle Brothers behind enemy lines with Thunder Hawks. Masters of long range weaponry, the Red Feathers ambush the opposition from behind their own defensive lines.

Radiant Spear Armor: The Standard issue armor worn by the Radiant Spear Chapter of the Sword of Terra Legion. Primarily black in color with yellow accents and white helmets. It is effective as any other standard Space Marine Armor. White helmets are the standard, veteran Battle Brothers tend to wear black helmets.

Chapter Master Helmet: Atraeus's helmet, unlike the standard white or black helmets of his Battle Brothers, his is yellow to distinguish his rank as Chapter Master.

Loadout

Primary: Auto Bolt Rifle

Secondary: Heavy Bolt Pistol

Melee: Chainsword

Bio: Atraeus Erriar has always been a loyal warrior of the Empress. A dedicated Battle Brother who would charge head first into danger to eliminate all threats to the Imperium. When the previous Chapter Master died, he was chosen to inherit the position. Despite thinking he was the worst choice for the position, Atraeus was determined to do right by his fallen Battle Brother. A master of Infantry and Guerrilla Warfare, Atraeus follows a simple battle strategy. Establish Foothold, support Imperial Guard forces, and Evacuate as many civilians as possible. The Chapter Master however may find his mettle tested when he crosses paths with the Matriarchs, daughters of the Empress.

Personality: Calm, intelligent, methodical, loyal to the Empress, believes that his Chapter is one cog in the war machine, can come off as callous.

Bronze Mastodons Armor: The Standard Issue armor of the Bronze Mastodons. Primarily bronze in color with purple accents, this armor boasts rather thick plating despite looking practically identical to standard issue armor. Most Battle Brothers wear bronze helmets, while veterans wear all purple helmets.

Chapter Master Helmet: The helmet of Luthane Prayto, unlike standard bronze or all purple helmets, this one is a dark black distinguishing his rank as Chapter Master. It is outfitted with multiple scopes to assist with artillery aiming.

Secondary: Bolt Pistol

Melee: Thunder Hammer

Bio: Luthane Prayto does not let pride cloud his judgement. Believe the Sword of Terra is most effective as a unified front, he has great respect for his fellow Chapter Masters and their Battle Brothers. A master of Armored and Defensive Warfare, Luthane believes in constant bombardment of enemy lines and infrastructure. If they survive that, clean up with Multi-Melta and Heavy Bolter fire. This methodical, borderline mechanical approach to combat paired with his disturbingly calm demeanor has earned Luthane a reputation of being cold and callous. In truth Luthane is a man who finds battle easier to understand than people. Crossing paths with the Matriarchs may force him to confront this flaw.

Personality: Quiet, reserved, has a fantastic memory, is always listening, chooses his words carefully, patient to a fault, loyal to the Empress, not one for the spotlight, dedicated to his work.

Armor

Red Feathers Armor: The standard issue armor of the Red Feathers Chapter. Primarily dark red with black accents, this armor is commonly outfitted with Jump Packs to assist with dropping onto the battlefield and gaining the high ground. Most Battle Brothers wear dark red helmets, veterans wear black helmets.

Chapter Master Helmet: The helmet of Tragios Decimand, unlike standard dark red and black helmets, this one is white to distinguish his position as Chapter Master.

Loadout

Primary: Bolt Sniper Rifle

Secondary: Plasma Pistol

Melee: Combat Knife

Bio: Tragios Decimand was never one for being put in any form of spotlight. A Space Marine of the Red Feathers Chapter, Tragios is a master of Aerial Warfare, Airborne Warfare, and stealth. While not much of a conversationalist, Tragios has patience that is rivaled by very few. Being able to wait for days for his target or spy on an enemy stronghold for months on end if necessary. The Chapter Master has a more complex approach to combat. Engage and neutralize all aerial threats, drop Battle Brothers behind enemy lines during the ensuing chaos, kill and destroy all persons and equipment of importance on the enemy side. Tragios believes in targeting weak points over frontal assaults, a more deceptive way to wage war than his contemporaries. However encountering the Matriarchs may force him to be in the eye of others.

So those are the Chapter Masters of the Sword of Terra Legion. Sorry for the long Bios, but I wanted to show I put some thought into this. Now in regard to the Matriarchs themselves. I only intend on each of the trio being paired with only a single one. However they will all appear. While I do have my favorites I open to suggestions or simply seeing who all of you think work.

Secondly the heresy hasn't  happened yet and might not at all. The Empress is actually a decent parent, not perfect but better than the original. Maybe it will still happen.

For the few of you who read this thanks for checking it out, if you think it's dumb I'll probably scrap it. Just wanted to get the idea out of my head. I swear if this becomes popular I give up.......
