Chapter 1: First Awakening

Somewhere upon the planet Sedna, in a quiet and desolate region of the trash covered planet, crept silently three men, Grineer lancers, making their way to some ancient ruins that were leftover from a past soon to be rediscovered. The lead of the three held out his wrist, an orange holo-display screen appearing above it. A strange Grineer, silhouetted with his back facing them, focused into view of the screen. "What is it? Have you found the source of the void energy trace yet?" The lancer replied in a tongue that would be strange to the human ear. "So you haven't. THEN WHY DID YOU BOTHER ME BY CLOGGING UP THE LINE WITH YOUR-?!" He was cut of by their frantic sounding plea. "Hmm...So, you've discovered ruins on that smudge mark planet? Very well. Find something that will interest me, and bring it back. Come back empty handed after this RIDICULOUS call, and you won't like the consequences. And DON'T try contacting me again till you do, or I will personally mark you three for treason, and you shall be hunted down like the pathetic worms you are. Do I make myself clear?" The three nodded their heads with rapid urgency. "Good. Now move. I will continued to deal with the first void trace. Don't disappoint me."

The holo-screen disappeared, and the lancers continued to make their way inside. The walls were ancient appearing, glyphs and symbols lining at certain locations along them. Thunder crashed from outside, an apparent storm threatening to start. Eventually, they found themselves in a much larger room, three chambers all facing away from each other at the room's core. It seemed the room was motion triggered, for as they strolled in, carelessly looking at the massive structure it was, lights flickered to life. Some only cough, sputtered, and died out, their years having taken its toll. They started making their way over to the chambers, which were absolutely covered in dust, making it impossible to make out right away what was inside.

Eventually, while two of the lancers got distracted by these mysterious pieces of technology, the last one called over to them from in front of a wall. The two looked to each other before shrugging and going over to their companion. When they arrived, the one that was originally there moved out of the way, and displayed what appeared to resemble a control panel. They all huddled around it, talking amongst themselves. Finally, one of them seemed to just get frustrated, and slammed the butt end of his rifle looking weapon into the panel. It crackled and sparked, some of the lights in the room flickering with an eerie feel.

Clouds rolled from the cracks of the chambers, each one sliding open slowly. The lancers looked to each other again and took aim at the chambers. While in doing so, they formed a barricade between the chambers and the doors. Finally, three bodies dropped from the pods. All three were humanoid in appearance, one wearing a red, almost futuristic, space suit, another was green, and the last, the only feminine looking one, wearing a blue one. Each had the hair color to match. For now though, their bodies just lay limp on the floor, but were beginning to stir. They were unable to move, but it was clear they were alive.

The lead lancer, now shaking in his armor, inched his way over to the red humanoid. Once he was only a mere few inches from him, he lightly poked his shoulder with the barrel of the gun and shuffled back, ready to fire at a sudden movement. Barely did a groan sound from the humanoid, but other than that, he really didn't move. Calmed down a bit, the lancer glanced back toward his comrades to call to them. However, the moment his back was turned, red, angered eyes glared up at him, and he was suddenly struck at the base of his spine. The humanoid had charged into the lancer with a red mystic glow of energy surrounding his body, causing the impact to occur within a second. The lancer was sent off his feet, and crashed into the far wall above the entrance. Almost immediately though, the red humanoid collapsed back to the ground.

The other two lancers were in a panic, looking at each other before the one closest to the green humanoid (on the red's left), was struck with a mystic green energy laser. That lancer's lifeless body crashed down to the ground from where he stood. Now the final lancer was completely frightened. In a matter of seconds his squad had been taken out. He aimed his gun first at the red, who was no longer moving, then the green, who had just fallen from a kneeling position as well, and finally at the spot where the blue was, but could not locate her. The second one who fell, was now targeting the last one with their firearm, but only his hand moved. Nothing about the body showed signs of life, and yet it fired directly at the living lancer's head, which extinguished his life. The one who had pulled the trigger though, now revealed herself to be the blue one who'd gone missing for a moment.

She too, collapsed to the floor. She, like the other two, were exhausted from what ever it was that they did. The three of them were breathing heavy in their sprawled out positions on the floor. After what felt like hours, but in reality was only about two minutes, they started to pick themselves up. First was the blue humanoid, quickly followed by the red one. Red was the first to speak. "Well...." He still was panting quite a bit. "...that...was somethi-" He was then cut off by the barrel of one of the lancer's firearms being aimed at him, held by the blue. She didn't say anything, but her expression was anything but friendly.

Red threw his arms up in surrender, immediately taken aback by this sudden action. "Woah! Um, you o-okay?" Finally the green one was beginning to prop himself up, but the blue one would be the next to speak. "Where...am I?" Her tone was hostile, but it was hard to take her serious with how worn out she seemed. "I'd tell you if I knew...wait...who are you anyway?" The firearm started to make a whirling sound, like it was preparing to fire. "Got it! You're asking the questions."

Green finally got up and made his way over, half clumsily, to red. "Sup'....what'd I...miss?" Red turned his head so he could see him. "Oh, not much. Just getting targeted by miss...umm...blue, over here." Green looked over to her and gave a wave, greeting, "Oh, hi!" She rolled her eyes and kept her aim steady at red. "Now, not to sound unoriginal, but who are you two?" Green piped in first, "Name's Jake!" Then followed red, "Andrew. Now mind sharing yours? I'd reeeally like to know who's threatening my life right about now." Blue shot back, "And yet, I don't reeeally want to tell you."

"And I reeeally have to go. Mind if I?" Jake asked. "She's not pointing that thing at you, is she?" "'kay, thanks!" Afterward, Jake started to walk off toward the exit, but blue, still not wishing to share her name, reaimed the weapon, and fired. The ammo launched forward and ricochet off the floor just in front of Jake. "On second thought, I don't think I really have to go any more." And he spun on his heels to move back behind Andrew, who rolled his eyes. "And why hide behind me?" "A meat shield's better than no shield." "Gee, thanks..."

"Sooo....are we gonna stand here all day?" Andrew asked, directed at blue. "No, WE aren't. You two are, but I'm leaving." She started walking sideways to make her way to the exit, keeping her focus on the two. The two didn't move a muscle till they saw the barrel move around the corner. Andrew dropped his hands and turned around to face Jake. "Now that miss crazy is out of here...what do we do?" "Why are you asking me?" "Because you're the only other one around. Hmm...hold on a sec," Andrew's bright red eyes scanned up and down Jake. 'Green outfit...short green hair...bright green eyes...' "What...are you anyway? I...can't remember much of anything other than my name." "Look in a mirror before you start judging me. Last time I checked, red hair and eyes aren't exactly...normal...come to think of it, I can't really remember much either..."

Andrew's accusing eyes and tensed stance relaxed a bit. "So, guess that means we're in the same boat, huh?" "Guess so-wait...what's a boat?" Andrew tried to think back..."You know what? I don't really know. Just felt right to say."
