"ALL HANDS ON DECK! FIND LADY CLARISSE! WHERE IS THAT GIRL?"

"What's going on?" Selena asked, standing next to a blonde girl and a really big guy with one eye. A cyclops.

"We are approaching the entrance." The captain replied,

"The entrance to what?" Selena asked,

He gave her a skeletal smile. "The Sea of Monsters, of course."

Then she felt heat. There was a fire nearby.

"Percy!" Selena screamed but the blonde held her back,

"He'll be fine. He always is. We need to get to the boats before the ship explodes!"

The ship behind her exploded and everything went dark.

Selena woke up with a gasp. Jason and Cato were still asleep next to her. Slowly and quietly, Selena stood and made her way to the bathroom.

Turning on the sink, she cupped some water in her hands before splashing some on her face.

The Sea of Monsters. She's been there. That's why she doesn't like Florida.

But who were the people she was with. Were they her friends?

Selena went back to her seat. She convinced Jason to give her the aisle seat one their flight from Atlanta to Rome.

She laid her head back and sighed, closing her eyes once again, hoping it would be a dreamless sleep that time around.

In the window seat, Cato briefly opened his eyes. With a large yawn, he reached up and opened the window. He let out a little yelp, not loud enough to wake everyone on the plane, but enough to alert Selena.

"What is it?" She asked, not opening her eyes,

"It's a... a... a..." Cato began to panic,

"A what, Cato?" Selena sat up and hissed. Her eyes widened at the sight of the monster.

The airplane shook and the seatbelt sign turned on, "Sorry, everyone, we're going to have a bit of turbulence."

Jason stared out the window, "A dragon." He muttered,

The plane shook more and everyone woke up with a little scream.

Cato cleared his throat, "So, um, how are we supposed to fight a dragon from the inside of an airplane?"

"I can fly." Jason stated,

Selena scoffed, "You can't just open the door to the airplane and jump out, Jason."

"Can't you do that travel thingy?" Jason asked,

"When there are shadows, but we're on an airplane. There's no shadows up here." Selena corrected,

The airplane shook again and they gripped the arm rests, "Look, we need to come up with something quick." Cato stated,

The lights flickered and Jason and Selena locked eyes. There were shadows.

"Okay, I can do it, but I need to be quick to come back in, otherwise I'm gonna be roadkill." Selena said,

While the flight attendants were distracted, the three demi-gods rushed to the back of the plane, "Cato, keep a look out."

The brunette nodded, "Got it."

The moment the lights turned off, Selena grabbed onto Jason and they disappeared. She opened her eyes and screamed as she was falling through the air.

Jason wrapped his arms around her and he flew up under the airplane, "Go back!"

"You sure you can handle this without me?!" Selena yelled over the sound of the plane.

The dragon roared and turned to look at them, "Go!"

Selena shadow traveled back into the airplane and collapsed onto the floor, breathing heavily. Cato rushed over and helped her to sit, "You okay?"

She nodded, "Go back to the seats."

They scrambled back, holding onto the seats tightly as the plane continued to shake. They both stared out the window and watched Jason fighting off the dragon with his sword.

"He can't take that thing on alone." Cato commented,

The captain spoke of the speaker once again, "Sorry for the disturbance, everyone, but we'll be needing to make an emergency landing in Barcelona."

The flight attendants sat down and the plane began to descend.

"It's about to be your time to shine, nature boy." Selena told the brunette next to her,

"I'm sorry, but how am I supposed to fight a dragon?" Cato asked,

"Vines, duh." Selena rolled her eyes.

Outside, Jason continued flying around the dragon, trying to confuse him. He couldn't get close enough without the creature trying to bite him. The dragon chased him and Jason flew away from the plane before raising his sword in the air,

"C'mon, dad. Now or never."

The sky darkened and a bolt of lighting raced towards Jason. It wrapped around his sword before he aimed it at the dragon.

The dragon roared in pain before falling, disappearing into the cloud below them.

"Ha!" Jason smiled, "Who took down a dragon by himself? This guy!"

The plane continued to descend and Jason hopped onto the wing, holding on tightly.

"Is that a guy on the wing?" Someone inside the plane asked,

"Don't be stupid, that's just a bird or something." Someone else replied,

"it's awfully big for a bird."

Selena leaned back against the seat, sighing out in relief. She still felt weak, but not as much as before. Jason gave them a thumbs up, letting them know everything was okay.

Another roar filled the sky and the two demigods inside the plane sat up. It wasn't over yet.

The dragon flew up, mouth wide, prepared to bite the plane.

"Crap."

Jason leaped towards the dragon, barely missing its jaws and grabbing onto it's ear, swinging it to the side.

The dragon clipped the wing and everyone screamed as the plane began falling quite fast.

"Can't you do something?!" Cato yelled,

"Can't you?!"

Once they were close enough to the ground, Selena turned to look at Cato, "Grab our bags."

He grabbed the three backpacks from under their seats, "Why?"

"Hang on!" Selena grabbed his arm and shadow traveled to the ground below.

The two let out a grunt as they landed on the grass. Selena laid there, trying to catch her breath as Cato let go of the bags and looked up at Jason still fighting the dragon.

Cato dug his hand into the ground and vines grew from the dirt. They were thick... thick enough to hold a dragon.

Selena glanced up and watched as the vines wrapped around the dragon, constricting its claws, jaw, and wings. With one last push, she stood and grabbed her dagger. She ran up the vines, towards the dragon,

"Jason!"

Jason flew down, sword raised, and Selena jumped. The two sliced through the dragon's neck, turning him to dust.

The blonde grabbed onto Selena before she hit the ground and flew back over to Cato, who was sitting on the ground.

He dropped her onto the grass and the three of them laid there.

"You're... welcome..." Cato panted,

Jason leaned up on his forearms and looked over at the son of Ceres, "You're welcome? I killed the thing!"

"I restrained it.... you wouldn't have been able to kill it without me." Cato smirked,

Selena rolled her eyes, "And neither of you wouldn't have been able to do any of that if it wasn't for me." She smacked them both in the chest, "It's called teamwork, dummies."

The trio rolled onto their stomachs and stared at the plane that had crashed and the wing was on fire, "So... who wants to take credit for that?"
