Allegiance I
"I see you've managed to keep your composure."
Tywin greeted Alanna as she walked over and took her seat beside him. They sat in the stands as a javel contest took place. It was for Robert's name day, and Alanna couldn't help but find herself bored by it already. Luckily enough for hee, Tywin was there to keep her company.
"Kayla is in one piece for now. But there's other news from Judith."
Alanna said causing Tywin to arch a brow as he turned his head to look to her.
"Pray tell would that be?"
He questioned. She sighed watching as one of the contestants was knocked from his horse by the other while the crowed cheered.
"Seem Lord Eddard's wife is out for blood. She believes that Tyrion attempted to kill her son, Bran, and she wants vengince served."
Tywin chuckled and shook his head.
"And what does she expect?"
"His head apparently."
Tywin frowned deeply. He huffed looking toward Alanna.
From across the way Kayla joined Robert and Cersei. The woman had been watching her father and his ward speaking to one another right when she arrived.
"Alanna doesn't seem pleased, yet you're still alive."
Cersei said as she returned her eyes back to the tournament. Kayla didn't say anything at first and remained quiet instead. Cersei felt her lips twitch upward, her eyes turning to look at Kayla.
"Have you failed her? Your Queen?"
"You are my Queen your grace."
Cersei chuckled a little, though her faked flattery was seen right through. Cersei folded her hands together looking up at Kayla.
"Come now, we all know, you fear Alanna because she's stronger than all of you combined. I mean look at her."
Cersei said turning her eyes back to Alanna and her father, not at all shocked to see the two of them seeming rather intimate at this moment. Her father's hand on Alanna's clothed leg while she whispered into his ear. Cersei turned back to see Kayla looking at them as well.
"She has all the power. None of you would ever dare rise up against her so long as she and my father continue to share their bond."
Cersei told Kayla.
Back in the stands Judith sat beside Ned and glanced back behind her and up to her right. She felt her cheeks warm and her stomach turn over seeing how her sister and Tywin were acting right now in public.
She turned back around trying to keep her meal down. As she turned she seen Ned was looking too and once she had caught him he turned away and continued to watch the men. Judith sighed silently to herself. Her bond was nothing like her sister and Lord Tywin's.
She wasn't sexually engaged with her lord unlike her sister, Alanna. Judith held the respect, but she knew that respect could only send you so far within a bound. You needed to be connected to your host on all levels.
But the type of love that Alanna held for Tywin was no where to be found between herself and Eddard.
"I don't want him hurt!"
Sansa spoke out watching Ser Loras preparing to go at arms against the Mountain. Judith looked to the young red head, as did Ned.
"Ser Loras is a fine rider, he'll be fine, Sansa."
Ned tried to reassure his daughter. Though it didn't help with the Varys and Little Finger making bets behind them about who would win and who would lose.
"My lady, rarely do people die from this event."
Alanna spoke up, able to hear them speaking. The two men fell silent as the whole group turned around to look at Alanna. Even Sansa seemed surprised to have the woman talking to her. Tywin on the other hand, didn't seem at all interested in the conversation.
Alanna nodded her head toward the event.
"But, Ser Loras has a female horse, a female horse who just happens to be in heat, and he knows that."
Alanna said causing Tywin to chuckle. Tywin nodded his head while Balish and Varys watched the two.
"Father..."
Sansa pleased under her breathe. Alanna arched a brow watching Sansa and Ned whispering back and forth. It irked her that the two would be so naive to believe what they did.
And then it happened just as Alanna said. She scoffed and laughed a little.
"Be in luck that I did not bet you my Lords."
Both of them looked at her with a grateful smile before turning back to each other.
"Seemsyour sister was right Judith. She has an eye on her."
Ned told his ward. Judith nodded, knowing it was true that her elder did have an eye for such things. After all she didn't become Tywin Lannister's ward for nothing.
"Oh dear...:
Varys said watching as the Mountain went and beheaded his horse.
"Ghastly!"
Little Finger agreed watching as the Mountain went for Loras. Alanna scoffed and with a wave of her hand she brought forth something to stop the Mountain. A large transparent and golden shield with a lion engraved on it.
The Moutian's sword hit it and with such force was hurled back from the impact his sword had. Everyone gasped, Tywin turned and looked at Alanna, her lips moving.
"Shield of Lannisport."
She whispered under her tongue. Her palm straight up as to make a stop motion with it. Closing her hand the shield vanished. Everyone was whispering and Loras seemed overwhelmingly surprised.
He rose from the ground and turned around to lock eyes with Alanna.
Kayla stood watching unimpressed at the outburst that had happened until she had seen the Sheild of Lannisport appear.
"Seems Lady Alanna has had enough excitement for one afternoon."
Cersei said glancing at Kayla and her husband. Jaime placed his hand upon his sword ready if needed, but he knew Alanna would never allow it to come to that.
"Thank you Lady Alanna!"
Ser Loras shouted as he rose from the ground. Alanna nodded as she too rose up from her seat. Cersei arched a brow seeing her father's displeasure.
"I expect in the future you shall remember this small gesture I've given you."
"Of course my lady! I am within your dept!"
He said with a deep bow. Alanna turned her eyes to the Mountain.
"Ser Gregory, In the future I would expect for you to recall who your allies are ser."
Gergor scoffed but never the less bowed quickly before taking his sword and rushing off. Cersei watched with curled lips, that was until Robert spoke up in his drunken tone.
"Fine woman that Alanna. Bring her to me later so that I might thank her in private."
He told Jaime. Jaime was frowning deeply, worried for what the king was asking.
"Of course your grace."
He said looking over to Cersei, who looked up at him with just as much worry as he himself had.
