Say Yes - Romaine

**So, I feel like this is kind of what would happened if Tremaine never left the Phoenix Riders, and if he and Roshan stayed together. If you don't get what the picture has to do with this chapter, it's from that episode of Steven Universe where- well, I'm not gonna spoil it. See for yourself. By the by, this was requested by @LieutenantOfArtemis1 . Thank you thank you thank you for the request!!

Warnings: None, really. There's a proposal, if that bothers you. Enjoy.**

Roshan giggled, clutching onto Tremaine's arm as they ran through the streets of Tokyo.

The couple had decided to take a night off from training, and instead take in the sights of Warcross's latest host. The neon lights that lit up the dark sky and the excited bustle of people reminded them of Disney World.

"Let's stop here," Tremaine said once they had nearly seen it all. And there they stood, in the center of a bustling square of shops and advertisements that resembled Times Square put through a camera filter.

Each and every way Roshan turned was a breathtaking sight. "This is amazing," he breathed, looking around, the lights reflecting in his chocolate eyes.

"Not as amazing as you," Tremaine said in that silky voice of his. The statement drew a giggle and a blush from the slightly shorter young man. But still, Tremaine continued. "The city lights are nothing compared to your eyes."

Roshan looked down and giggled shyly. "Tremaaaaaine," he whined, "Stop being such a flirt."

"Why should I? Besides, I can barely help it when I'm around you," replied Tremaine with a smirk playing across his lips.

The brown-eyed young man looked up at his boyfriend with a gentle smile. "I don't deserve you," he whispered, standing on his tip-toes to kiss him gently.

Tremaine giggled, cupping Roshan's cheek gently. "You know something? I think it's me that doesn't deserve you. Yet here we are," he played, pulling him close. "Oh," he said suddenly. "That reminds me..." he patted something in his pocket.

At Roshan's look of concern, Tremaine met his eyes and took his hand. "Ro," he said, with a bit- okay, a lot - of nervousness in his voice. "I love you. I mean, that goes without saying, but - what I mean is, you're my person. And I'm so, so happy you are."

"And you've called me cheesy before..." Roshan mumbled playfully, though he couldn't deny the blush that dusted his cheeks.

The older chuckled softly. "What I'm saying is, every day with you since we started dating, even since we met, has been like a dream. I know our families have their differences, but I don't want that to keep us from being happy. Roshan, I've been a happier person since you came into my life, and I just- I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so..."

Tremaine drew the box from his pocket. It was a simple box, coated in a simple black velvet. He opened it, and there was a simple, yet beautiful ring. The clear gemstone reflected the city lights.

Like puzzle pieces, everything clicked in Roshan's mind. Happy tears burned his eyes. His hands went to cover his mouth as he gasped softly.

     "Roshan....will you marry me?"

The younger was already nodding, and a tear slipped down his left cheek. "I...Tremaine, I don't know what to say..."

"Say yes," Tremaine said, pulling him in for a deep, loving kiss.
