It's Chemical - R x K and Romaine (HP Crossover)
**Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is my favorite out of the movies, but not the books. This is one I've been thinking of for a long time.
We're changing everything. Going topsy-turvy. Okay, so this is, as aforementioned, a Hogwarts AU. It's essentially the same story about Roshan and Kento and Tremaine, just...at Hogwarts. Not in Tokyo.
Warnings: None really. There's gonna be a love triangle. Enjoy.**
Tremaine hadn't talked to Roshan since their breakup. So technically, they weren't on bad terms. But they weren't on good terms either. Tremaine didn't want to talk to him. It would be like tilling soil and bringing the seeds to the surface, preventing them from growing. Ruining them. And right now, their history together didn't need any more wreckage. Their relationship had already completely uprooted what Tremaine had thought was some sort of emotional stability.
For a few weeks, they were invisible to each other. Their names were taboo to one another. Thankfully, they rarely even saw each other now that Roshan was always at Quidditch practice. No more spending evenings trapped in the Ravenclaw common room with each other's company. But who wasn't invisible to Tremaine was the young, attractive fifth-year who had finally scored the goal he'd wanted the most.
Of course, Tremaine had noticed Kento pining over Roshan, and had even threatened him to back off at one point, but the indignant little son of a bitch would never listen.
Kento especially wasn't invisible one night after a Quidditch match, during which Roshan had caught the Snitch, earning Ravenclaw 150 points and therefore winning the game.
"Roshan! Roshan! Roshan!" The chant echoed through the West Tower, torturously flooding Tremaine's mind. He had no escape. God, why did he have to be in the same house as his ex?
Roshan was supported by people holding him up, towering in the center of the room, his eyes glittering. He was only set down after Kento reached up and tapped him to get his attention. No sooner did his feet touch the ground that Kento flung his arms around him. Their lips met, and Roshan's arms found Kento's waist as he let out of noise of surprise - but he didn't mind the kiss one bit.
Tremaine, who had been watching Roshan, glared. His heart stuttered like kindling to a flame, but he commanded it to shut up as he ducked out of the crowd and up the staircase to his dorm.
Nobody in his year checked on him for nearly the whole time that he sat there, his drawn bed-curtains leaving him in shadow as he sobbed. It hurt. The seeds had been disturbed, and the gnarly roots were now dug up and out there for everyone to see. He felt the hurt and sadness boil over despite his desperate attempts to choke the emotion back down. He had just barely gotten a grip when, at last, a soft voice sounded and the corner of his bed-curtains were pulled aside just slightly. Light peeked through. Along with someone.
"Tremaine?"
Of all the times Roshan could've spoken to him, it had to be now?
Silence from Tremaine.
"You okay?"
Tremaine's fingers curled around his wand and drew it from his pocket. He looked down at the hawthorn stick, glinting black in the faint light. The tip was facing Roshan.
Do it, an angry, threatening voice told Tremaine.
"Sectumsempra," he murmured quickly.
With a gasp, Roshan shut the curtain and escaped just in time. A gash in the blue fabric was left where Roshan would've been, had the curse hit true. All Tremaine could do was curl up again, his forehead against the mattress as he hid from the rest of the world like a vampire fearing sunlight.
This was who he was now, an upturned seed, never really having time to grow or flourish. Bitter towards the world and angry with himself. He would never heal. He would never have the chance to, because nobody was willing to give that chance to him. It hurt, he wouldn't - couldn't - deny that anymore.
Damn. Why did he have to have feelings? All they ever did was get in the way.
