Anthropomorphic - Romaine
(This is just a drabble. This was partially inspired by the episode of OK KO Let's Be Heroes where they turn into a bunny, a cat, and a dog. No warnings. Just furries. Let's see what happens.)
"T-Tremaine?" came the faint voice of Roshan Ahmadi once he returned to consciousness. He was laying on his stomach, although he'd sworn he'd fallen backwards when everything went black. The light in his room was blinding as he first opened his eyes, as if he was looking directly into the sun. A strand of his curly hair fell into his face and he went to brush it away, expecting to see his hand. Instead, a paw covered in beige fur, with four tiny claws, brushed his hair out of his eyes. Roshan let out a startled squeak, but it came out as a hiss.
He ran to look for a mirror, but ended up clumsily stumbling over his front paws. After getting up again with an indignant mew, he continued his curious trot over to the full length mirror leaning against the wall. In the mirror, he saw a kitten, small enough to fit in a person's palm. His fur was a sandy brown, lighter than his skin color before. The hair that he had as a human was sitting in a chocolate-brown pile of curls in between Roshan's perky little ears. His innocent eyes were the same color as his hair.
Then he remembered: Where was Tremaine?
He looked around the room, and he could barely miss the wolf near the door, still asleep.
Tremaine was a wolf. A freaking wolf. And Roshan was a tiny kitten. How fitting.
The cat warily wandered over to the predator. Tremaine's blond, nearly white hair stood out in stark contrast to the dark silvery gray of his fur. His body slowly rose and fell with each peaceful, rhythmic breath he took. His thin hands had been replaced with threatening paws, with sharp claws that made Roshan want to back away in fear.
But Roshan knew somehow that Tremaine wouldn't hurt him. Although Tremaine was disliked by Warcross fans - and, well, both their families - he was kind. And also alone in the world. So Roshan needed to be there for him.
The tiny kitten took a few steps closer the the wolf, his tiny paws soundlessly coming into contact with the carpet. He nuzzled into Tremaine's fur, lightly nudging him. "Tremaine," he said in a small voice. "Wake up, love."
Tremaine slowly opened his eyes. They were the same ice-blue they had always been. Roshan smiled at the familiarity.
"Hi, Tremaine."
"Hi, Ro."
