Chapter 50
"Okay, so I'm giving you 2 necklace that holds energy. One for you and one for Sean. Once you place it on, you'll be able to use your powers but only if we can supply the energy on this side. You have a short amount of time so you're going to have to make it fast. I figured out a way to make you invisible enough for you to sneak in. After that, it's all up to you to get him out. You need the necklace. Without it, you can use your powers which means no portal. You'll have a few seconds of power left if you take it off but after that, you're no longer able to do anything. I can't stress that enough," Crystal explained. I nodded my head in understanding. She then placed one of the necklaces around my neck and I shoved the other one in my pocket.
"So why exactly did you bring us here?" Zepar asked as he looked around the empty field. I had teleported everyone into the animal realm with the dragons. "Backup," I shrugged and I focused on Jellal. He quickly flew through the sky and landed behind me causing Zepar and his friends to gasp in shock but Crystal and Stella walked over and pet him.
"You have a dragon!" Zepar shrieked as he walked up to it with his friends behind him. I chuckled a bit and nodded.
"Okay, let's start this," Crystal spoke as she stood on the outside pentagram along with the guys and even Stella. Despite her not being a demon or witch she still was able to provide energy.
I looked to Jellal and rubbed his nose, "Wait here. When I open the portal for you, your job is to get Sean out. Don't worry about me," I whispered. Jellal let out a soft roar and I kissed his nose. Something in me felt wrong. I felt as if this quest was going to end badly.
I walked over to the center of the pentagram and let out a sigh before nodded to them to start the chant. The pentagram started to glow and Crystal gave me a nod as she continued to chant. I opened a portal by the tree I had put the coin under in the prison realm.
Walking in, I closed it behind me and with speed, I ran towards the prison and through the wall as I was temporary invisible. I climbed up to Sean's floor and ran into his cell only to see he was on the floor covered in blood. Running over to him, I turned him over and saw his mouth was all bloody.
"Sean, get up," I whispered as I shook him. He let out a painful groan and slowly open his eyes. He blinked a few times as he was staring at me. His eyes then widened, "What are you doing here?" he shrieked.
"Getting you out," I mumbled as I placed the necklace around him. I watched as his cuts were slowly closing up but not fast enough. "Can you use your powers?" I asked.
He focused a bit then let out an exhausted breath, "No," he replied.
"It's probably because you're picking up too much energy. Come on," I softly spoke as I help him up.
"HEY!" a voice shouted at me. I looked to see a guard by the gate. Using my power, I broke his neck and blew open the back wall of the cell which gave me the view of the tree where I formed the portal. Placing Sean's arm around my shoulders, I went to fly over to the tree but I saw reapers flying towards me.
Looking up to the cloudy skies, I saw more swarming around the prison. Holding Sean tight to me, I flew all the way up dodging the reapers as I focused on forming a huge portal. I then summons Jellal. Reaching to the top of the endless prison, I released Sean only for him to fall to the floor. I quickly turned him over and saw he had stopped healing and was now bleeding through his nose.
I looked at his necklace to see it was no longer glowing white as mine was. "You shouldn't have come," he coughed up some blood.
"I wasn't going to leave you knowing I could do something," I whispered as I kissed his forehead.
"Who are you and how did you get in here," a voice came from behind me. I quickly got up and looked to see a guy in black in his human form standing 20 feet away from me. Looking around, I saw Sean and I were surrounded by reapers.
"There's no escaping once you're here not tell me how did you get in and who are you?" the guy spoke in a firm voice.
"None of your business," I hissed as I helped Sean off the ground. I could feel him getting weaker by the second. The guy then chuckled and I turned to look to see what he found amusing.
"He still can heal so no power means he's dying," he spoke in a duh tone. I turned to look at Sean who was already looking at me. "It's okay. You shouldn't have come for me," he coughed up more blood.
I cupped his face and shook my head. "I'm not willing to give you up so easily. I promised your brother I would get you out -"
"There's no getting out," the guy cut me off.
Ignoring him, I continued, "I'm not losing you again. If I don't make it back, tell everyone I'm sorry and I love them. Tell Lucifer that even when we had our disagreement, it didn't make me stop loving him," I smiled before I kissed Sean on the forehead.
"No, you're going to tell them yourself," he breathes out. "What a fucking pathetic moment," the guy chuckled behind me. I could hear him getting closer. Quickly moving, I took my necklace off and placed it around Sean which resulted in him taking a huge intake of air. I could see his cuts were healing faster.
"Also, I'm sorry about this," I informed him. Before he could say anything, I pushed him off the roof before jumping off after him.
Jellal glided through the portal and towards us with speed before catching both of us with his foot. He then flew towards the portal. Looking behind me, I saw reapers chasing us with speed catching up to us. Looking behind me, I saw a reaper about of grab Sean.
Jellal seemed to have known because he let out a roar followed by fire. Looking at the burned reaper, I saw he was coming back to life. Looking to the portal, I saw it was shrieking and reapers were now trying to block it. If I use more power, it might shut the portal down. I looked over to Sean who looked like he was on a lifeline to death. Jellal then flew slower and I looked behind to see a reaper using his powers to hold back Jellal.
"Jellal, drop me close to the floor and whatever happens, keep flying," I ordered.
He did as told and released me causing me to drop to my feet on the floor. Using a small amount of power I had left, I broke the reaper's neck causing Jellal to be set free. I watched as Jellal quickly sprayed fire in front him at the reapers blocking the shrinking portal. I saw another reaper going to block him from behind but I used my powers to block him off. Jellal let out a roar as he looked to me before disappearing into the portal before it shut.
Trying to use my powers, I felt myself drained of energy and now surrounded by reapers. One of them flew towards me I felt shivers run through me as I was now feeling cold. The reaper inhaled and I felt myself quickly going to sleep...or at least I hope it's sleep.

"Wake up," a deep voice ordered. Slowly blinking, I opened my eyes to see myself in a black room with a gray wooden floor. There were no furniture or windows. Looking at the metal door, I saw the same guy I had seen on the roof with a gun in his hand.
"I don't have all day," he growled. I rolled my eyed and got up to then realized I was barefoot. Walking across the cold floor, I walked out of the room only to see more guards, three of them. The guy pushed me forward to walk to which I did. I walked down the gray hall and up the steps into some throne looking room. Sitting at the top was a guy in black who had black hair and blue eyes. He was sitting in a silver throne with guard lined up along the right and left wall as you enter.
A smirk rose to his face as he saw me. I was then stopped a few feet away from the guy on the throne. I looked behind to see the guards had bowed their heads. I let out a scoff and turned to look at this royal asshole. I was then hit in the back of my leg and forced to bow.
"Rise," the guy ordered to which I did.
I looked at the guy who was on the throne. "I am Ash, King of the Dementors," the guy informed me. "Not reapers?" I asked. "No, now you want to tell me why you helped a prisoner escaped and how you did it?" he asked.
I let out a laugh, "As if," I replied only to get a hard hit in the back of the head with a gun. I crashed to the floor and blinked a few times as I was seeing spots of white.
"Enough Qwin," Ash ordered. "Yes my Lord," Qwin replied. I stood up and looked to see Qwin was the guy from the roof. "You know, if we were on Earth somewhere, I would have totally kicked your ass," I hissed to which he rolled his eyes.
"Skylar!" Ash shouted.
"What?" I shouted back. My eyebrow then rose, "Wait, you know my name?" I asked.
He nodded, "Lucifer's soon to be wife. Still can't wrap my head around it," he mumbled as he eyed me up and down.
"Wow, just so you know, I can get plenty of guys. I just chose to not fuck around and be a hoe so excuse me," I scoffed.
He let out a chuckle, "Not your Sweetheart. I meant Lucifer. I can't believe he's getting married considering he fucks around a lot," he admitted.
"Ha! You're telling me but then I still can't believe I'm getting married to the Devil," I chuckled to which he chuckled.
Qwin then scoffed beside me, "My Lord, is this really necessary?" he questioned referring to Ash and my conversation.
"Could you not? We're having a moment here. Does he always have a stick up his ass?" I questioned as I looked to Ash. Ash then looked to Qwin before laughing and nodded, "Pretty much."
Qwin then rolled his eyes.
"Right, so can I leave?" I asked.
Ash nodded his head, "Yeah but how?"
He knew I couldn't get out which is why he said yes.
"I don't know. Can you help me?" I asked.
"I mean, you broke into my prison then caused a whole scene and let's not forget, you help a prisoner escape on a dragon," he notified me.
"Is that a no?"
"There's only one way out which I know of," he spoke in a stern tone.
"I have a feeling it's bad. What is it?"
"You're going to have to get Lucifer here. He can travel between realms," Ash stated.
I let out a groan, "I guess I'm stuck here then."
