Chapter 48
I spent the next couple of hours crying in the shower and packing a bag. Having a family was important to me. Kids were important to me. I had planned to start my own family. My own normal family to which I would have a few kids who went to school got normal jobs and not kill like how the guys and I grew up. We grew up by force, not by choice. We didn't have the childhood we were supposed to have. Everything could of went smoother and better if mom and dad were around but, they're not. After finishing, I teleported myself over to Crystal's house.
I rang the bell and the door quickly opened revealing Crystal. I walked in and dropped my bag by the door as she closed it and walked into the living room. I followed her to see Stella along with Zepar, Kyroz and the other guy I had seen a few hours ago all eating pizza.
"Eat up," Crystal chirped as she passed me a plate. I shook my head, "I'm fine," I mumbled.
She went to say something but was cut off by my phone ringing. I looked at the caller id to see it was Lucifer. I quickly hit ignored to which I then received a voicemail, a spam of messages and another phone call.
"Excuse me for a few," I mumbled as I walked out of the house. I hit accept on the call and held the phone up to my ear. "What?" I answered as I flew up to the roof. "Look, I'm sorry that my decision upsets you but I'm sticking by it," he spoke in a firm voice. "It's not fair. You're not even being rational about this," I shrieked.
I could hear him scoffing on the other side, "Fair? We're talking about it right now," he shouted back.
"NO!" I shouted back louder, "You're just saying you don't want any. You don't even give me a valid reason. I do everything for you and give you an explanation for everything and this one thing I ask of you, you can't explain. Matter of fact, it's not even just this one thing. Every time you pull some bullshit, you always have some weak-ass response. I'm tired of that shit. Why can't you just be honest with me for once?" I fired back.
"Skylar, I'm telling you now, don't push the subject. We're not going to do this now. You have a family already. What more could you want?" he questioned but it came out more like a hiss.
"My own family," I mumbled before hanging up. I then turned my phone on silence and flashed back into the living room where everyone was still eating and chatting. I sat on one of the couch by myself and stared at my phone as it lite up with calls and messages from Lucifer.
I tossed my phone on the seat beside me and felt myself radiating with pain and rage. I felt my powers just going stronger in me as I was feeling the need to destroy everything. My hands started to tingle and I opened them in front me to see a swirl of green mist swirling around in place. Letting out a sigh, I closed my hand and reopen it to see it was going.
I'm going to find you Sean, no matter what it takes.
We were now in Crystal's basement setting up the ritual for fate, death and I. Crystal and Stella were lighting candles whilst Kryoz and the other guy, Giles, were talking amongst themselves. "Hey," a voice came up next to me. I glimpsed over to see it was Zepar.
"Hi," I mumbled back as I turned my attention back to the circle that was on the floor that was now surrounded with candles. "You okay?" Zepar asked. "Yeah," I lied.
"You know, you can always talk to me. I heard your conversation on the phone," he informed me. I turned to look at him with a glare, "You were eavesdropping?" I questioned in disbelief.
He shrugged, "You seemed a bit off so I came to check on you but -"
"Look, it's nice that you care but I really don't feel like talking about it. Let's just find your brother first," I cut him off.
He slowly nodded and walked away. After a few minutes, I was now sitting in the center of the circle.
Crystal then walked into the circle with me before passing me two coins that looked ancient with a coating of silver. "Place one down on the ground when you get to the other side where the prison is. Put it in a place no one would see it or touch it. That will be for when you go back to get Sean. Your powers wouldn't work from that side so I'll suggest you be careful. I will cloak you with invisibility but you need to hurry up. You're only there to see your way around," she informed me. I nodded my head in understanding before she gave me a smile and walked back out.
"Ready?" Kryoz asked.
I nodded my head and he stood in front me outside the circle before closing his eyes. He then opened his eyes revealing it to be black. I felt myself falling asleep. Within a blink, I was now in a different setting. Looking around, it looked like part of the Hell but there was no fire or even light. The sky was cloudy and the ground was a bit rocky. Getting up, I looked around to see people walking around as if they were zombies. Looking around, even more, I saw there was no way to go. No houses, or even structure of the building.
I felt my whole body tingling. Looking down, I saw I was starting to slowly vanish. Within another blink, I found myself in another setting similar to the one I was previously in. Instead, The whole ground was black along with a building. Next to me was a tree that looked as if it was burned to the roots. Opening my hand, I placed one of the coins under the blackened tree.
Moving quickly, I stood up and ran towards the building, as I got closer, I could hear screams echoing from the tall building. It seemed like an impossibly high. The building was rectangular and half of the building disappeared into the stormy clouds above. I then felt the coldness of the place. It seemed as if I was at the North Pole. As I looked up at the flashing clouds, I could see something I thought I would never seem in real life. They look like ...dementors circling the building.
I felt the fear build up in me as I thought of the Harry Potter Series where Harry came face to face with a dementors. I heard a cold growl next to me and I looked to see a Dementor walking straight through the wall before flying up to the sky. Looking at the building, I placed my hand against it only for it to pass right through. I then walked through to see guys in black hoodie and pants walking in and out. Their faces were not visible and they seemed not to notice me which meant Crystal's spell was working.
I walked out of the room and my mouth dropped in shock as I witness this ultimate guarded prison. The middle was clear but around the building were cells upon cells full of screaming prisoners. One each floor one 6 guys walking around in rectangular form guarding the cells.
There was clearly over 100 floors. How the hell was I suppose to find Sean? I let out a sigh which only causes someone to stop next to me. My eyes widened as I turned to see one of the guys in black looking around. Although I was invisible, I could still be heard.
Stepping back, I turned on my heels and walked down the path only to see prisoners on one side of me on the right and a bottomless pit over the railing on the left which led more prisoners. I felt my hands tingle and I looked down to see the green mist coming out. Some left my hand and I watched as it flew off me and up in the center of the building. After some floors, it stopped and entered the cell. I counted the floors to which they were 7.
Looking around I saw there were no stairs. The Dementors would fly up to their floor. Looking around, I saw the silver pole which ran up from each corner of the railing.
You've got to be kidding me!
I shoved the coin in my pocket and prayed that I would be able to grab onto the pole to which I could. Shaking it a bit, I saw it was strong enough to hold me. I then started to climb the pole. It honestly felt like gym class all over again. After finally reaching the floor the mist vanished on, I laid on the floor for a few as I was trying to quietly catch my breath. I then got up and walked around in a rectangular form and looked into each cell searching for Sean.
I then stopped in front of one cell as I recognized Sean. He was in a neutral gray jumpsuit with spots of red by the neck of the jumpsuit. It was clear he had been punched a couple times by the jaw. I walked through the bars and into his cell to where he was sitting on the edge of his bed.
"Hey," I whispered causing him to bolt up from his spot and frantically look around. "Relax, it's me -"
"Sky, what the fuck are you going here? You aren't supposed to be here," he growled as he looked my direction where the voice was coming from. "I'm here to bust you out. Well, not today. Today, I'm here to see if I could get any information on how to get you out also, why didn't you tell me you had a brother?" I questioned.
He rubbed the back of his head, "Complicated story but you really shouldn't be here...How did you even get here?" he asked as he sat back down on the bed to which I sat next to him.
"Who are you talking to?" a voice came outside the cell. We both look to see it was a guard eyeing me. Sean shrugged, "Just making my own imaginary friends to keep me company," he casually replied.
The guy eyed him again, "Weirdo," he mumbled before walking away.
"I don't have much time. I might be back tomorrow night to get you out and -"
"No!" Sean spoke in a stern tone as he got up from the bed. My eyebrow rose in questioning, "No?"
"No, I'm not leaving. You don't understand how dangerous this place is. You should be thankful no one could see you right now. Once you break into this place and try to break me out, all chaos will break loose and you could potentially die," he lectured me.
"It's fine. You don't even have to worry about -"
"Does Lucifer even know you're doing this?" he questioned. "Yes," I lied.
He let out a sarcastic laugh, "Right, as if he would let the love of his life go into a life or death situation. Immortal or not, he still wouldn't let you. Now go home before you get hurt," he shouted.
"HEY! Quiet down in there," a guard hissed. Sean turned his back against me to glare at the guard, "Or what? You're going to kill me?" he sarcastically replied.
The guard sent back a glare at him, "Don't remember the ass wiping I gave you last time," he threatened.
"And don't forget the last time you walked in here alone, you almost died," Sean growled. "You asked for this," the guard smirked before merging through the cells with a few guys behind him.
Before I could see anything else, I was now staring back at Crystal's basement ceiling. I quickly got up from the ground and looked around to see Crystal, Stella, Zepar, Kyroz, and Giles all staring at me.
"Well?" Zepar asked waiting for any sort of information.
I flashed back to my house in my bedroom and grabbed a pen and printer paper before flashing back. I walked over to a table and started to roughly sketch out the prison. "I saw and spoke to him. The place is surrounded with these grim reaper looking people. They look like dementors. Sean is on the 8th floor. This is the prison," I showed them the drawing, "I don't see an end to this prison. Do you think you could allow me to go invisible again but let me use my powers?" I asked Crystal.
She shook her head, "No I'm sorry. Whilst you were there, I got a sense of the place through the coin I gave you. It's either be invisible with no powers or be visible with powers and I could only do it one at a time. The coin is linked with power so when you go back, you only have a certain amount of time to get him out before the other side shut down your powers," she informed me.
I nodded my head and sat back for a moment as I was thinking of a plan.
"So, I heard you can create portals. I suggest we arm up and -"
"No," I bluntly replied to Zepar who was referring to him and his buddies. Zepar questioned my answer. "It's too dangerous. I'm going by myself but I will need you guys on this side to somehow keep the energy going so I could get Sean out. The energy I felt from that place is just worst than hell. It's indescribable," I mumbled as I gazed off.
"Look, I'm going whether or not you want me to," he spoke in a stern tone.
"It makes no sense for you to go. You can't help on that side and it will just pick up more power. I know you want him back but that's not going to help if you don't cooperate. Now I need you on this side helping Crystal keeping the energy up along with your friends so I can get Sean out. Are you will help me in the correct way or not?" I asked.
He let out a sigh and nodded his head. "Good," I replied, "We meet here tomorrow night. I need to go sort out some stuff for them," I replied before disappearing into a field.
Closing my eyes, I focused on him and within seconds, I hear him soring through the sky before landing in front of me. Walking up to him I smiled and pet him. "Aren't you just a good boy Jellal," I chirped as I scratched his chin. "Now listen here bud, I need you tomorrow for something super important so I need you to get as much rest as you can," I spoke to my dragon. He let out a purred and I chuckled at how he communicated.
"Good boy," I whispered before I kissed him. "Now go eat and sleep. I'll see you in a few," I smiled.
He let out a soft roar and fly away. I then teleported into one of my safe house that was across the country. Pulling out my phone from my pocket, I checked the time to see it was almost 4 in the morning. Letting out a sigh, I decided to cook some food and just get dressed for the trail for Isabella.
