I bolted up with my eyes open as I gazed around the room looking for the loud bang I had heard. It echoed from the bathroom and I looked to see Sean was no longer next to me. Getting up and walking into the bathroom, I walked in to see Sean in his demon form dunking the bottle of alcohol rub on his back. He let out an agonizing noise as it ran over his burn mark.

It looked to be healing but it was in a slow process. I walked over to him and gently touched his shoulder. As soon as I touched him, he whipped around and grabbed my hand. I watched as he got ready to dissemble my arm from my body but once he saw it was me, his eyes soften and his heavy breathing slowed down.

He released my hand and I gently dried his back before chilling the burn. He let out a sigh of relieve and shifted back to his human form. He turned around and shot me a small smile, "Thank you," he softly whispered.

I nodded my head as I smiled back, "You're welcome," I softly spoke.

He stared at me for a couple of seconds before I realize he was leaning in to kiss me. As he got closer, I felt myself panicking. I stepped back a little causing him to stop.

"Sorry," he quickly spoke as he walked out the bathroom. 

I was let staring at my reflection in the mirror. I was a mess. My hair was in a messy bun and my face looked as if I was dead. My neck was blue and purple but the burn was now little. My mind then jumped to Sean who was about to kiss me. Lucifer and I had broken up according to Lucifer's outburst but I wasn't going to kiss Sean. I knew I didn't love him the way I loved Lucifer. I simply loved him like a best friend or the best friend he once was to me.

Walking out the bathroom, I saw the bedroom door was open. I walked out the room and downstairs to hear something hissing. I followed the noise which landed me in the kitchen where Sean had just popped open a beer bottle.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to -"

"No. It's fine. It's my fault," he mumbled as he slide a beer onto the counter towards me. I sat on the stool and sipped on the beer. I watched as he fiddled round with some papers across the counter from me.

"Sean," I called.

"Sky, it's fine. You don't have -"

I reached over and grabbed his hand causing him to look up at me. I tugged on his hand so he walked around the counter and stood in front me.

"I didn't kiss you because I hate you or found you unattractive. I mean you're honestly attractive like look at you," I trailed off looking at his upper body causing him to chuckle, "Right off topic. I mean I didn't kiss you because I love you as the best friend you were once to me and the guys. I forgive you for what happened and piece of me will always love you but ...-"

"You love Lucifer. I know," he filled in as he cupped my face. "If I ever found a girl like you, I would worship her as if she's my Goddess. You've been through so much yet remained innocent. A demon by body but an angel by heart," he whispered.

I stared into his eyes as he was just 3 inches away from me.

I heard a scoff come from doorway. Sean quickly let got of me as we both turned to see it was Gabe.

"Dude, just kiss her already," Gabe jokingly responded causing Sean to roll his eyes.

As Gabe looked to me, his eyes trailed over my neck then at my leg to the burn marks. I watched as his eyes turned cold and his body was now tensed.

"Did Lucifer do that to you?" he gritted through his teeth. I swallowed the now forming lump in my throat as Gabe had seem a bit scary.

I slowly nodded my head. He then turned to look at Sean. "I don't think I could keep this a secret anymore. I think it's about time the guys all knew the truth," he spoke, "Then I'll kick Lucifer's ass."

Sean chuckled, "Fine by me."

Gabe nodded, "Go. I'll meet you guys there in a minute or so. I need to have a few words with someone," Gabe spoke before disappearing.

I went to get off the stool but Sean took my hand in his causing me to look up at him as he was standing in front me. He intertwined his hand with mine before releasing a sigh.

"I know you don't love me in the sense of relationship but I will always love you that way. I'm not sure how this outbreak will all turn out with me being there then Lucifer and Gabe but just know, whatever happens, I love you," he spoke softly.

Something about the way he spoke made me cry. He knew something was going to happen.

"Why are you crying?" he spoke as he wiped my tears away.

"Because you know something bad is going to happen and I don't know. What's going to happen?" I asked.

He shook his head with a small smile, "Nothing," he lied.

"I will protect you no matter what," I replied.

He nodded his head, "I know," he spoke before kissing my forehead, "But you can't protect me forever," he whispered as he leaned his forehead against mine.

"I'm sorry for everything I put you through," he apologized.

"I'm sorry we ever slipped away from the friendship we had," I replied.

We spent the next few seconds in quietness. As he moved away, I pulled him back as did the one thing I thought I wouldn't do. I kissed him.

He was surprised at first but ended up kissed me back passionately. He then pulled away.

"A goodbye kiss," he stated with a small smile.

"I don't want to say goodbye. I want you to remain at my side," I protested.

He cupped my face, "So innocent but I'm afraid some wouldn't approve and like all good things, they must come to an end despite me being bad and not really good," he trailed off.

I let out a scoff, "Bullshit. You're good deep inside."

His eyebrow rose, "Really? You think so?"

I nodded my head.

"What about me wanting to take over Hell?" he asked.

"You were caught up in the moment."

"Me bring Mel back?"

"Hoping I would join you."

"Stop defending me," he sighed.

"Never," I protested causing him to roll his eyes.

"Well," he spoke as he pulled me off the stool, "Let's get this over with," he mumbled. He flashed upstairs before flashing back down in a shirt. He then grabbed my hand before we were now in my lobby. I looked to see some of the guys sitting around by the bar.

The first person to notice me was James. I watched as he marched up towards me before eyeing me. Releasing a sigh, he then hugged me.

"Are you okay?" he whispered into my hair. I nodded as we pulled away, "I'm fine," I half-lied. He then looked behind me to Sean who looked a bit sad. James then nodded to which Sean nodded back.

I looked around the lobby to now see all the guys were here. Ethan had rounded them up.

"Gabe is not dead. He is in fact alive and well. I don't expect you all to believe me but he is and he's also an angel. Sean knew this before he killed Gabe," I informed them.

"But why kill Gabe?" Mason asked.

Sean stepped up besides me, "Because it was his destiny. I'm not just an illusionist. I can also see part of the future. I knew what was going to happen. It I wasn't going to do it, Gabe would have another destiny and he would of died that same day. Natural or unnatural death, he was going to die in that very spot you all witness. I'm sorry and didn't mean to put you guys through this. I hope you all can forgive me," Sean sincerely spoke.

James went to open his mouth but was cut of by someone clapping. We all turned to see Lucifer by the stairs with a wicked smirk on his face. Behind him was Axel and Micah. They on the other hand looked a bit tired and annoyed along with saddened.

"We tried to talk to him," I saw Micah mouthed.

Axel shook his head gesturing Lucifer was now a lost cause.

"What a fucking fantastic bullshit of a speak. I almost cried there, almost. But you've made the mistake coming back along with you Ms. Marran," he scoffed as he looked at me. "It's amazing the lied you could come up with," he went on.

I rolled my eyes at his ignorance, "We're not lying. It's the truth. Gabe will be here any second and -"

"Right and the tooth fairy will be here soon. Fucking admit it. You're fucking him and shit," Lucifer shouted as he marched up to us with his body inflamed.

I saw him forming a fireball in his hand so I quickly put up a force field. As he threw it, I watched as it came closer to me. A figure then appeared in front me as I was staring at someone's back which revealed their long angel wings.
