Chapter 12
Song: Shawn Mendes - In My Blood
"So you want it to seem like he died in the war but he's just actually trapped in some place where you can torture him?" Crystal asked. I nodded my head. "That's actually smart. Fake his death type of thing," Stella called out.
"Thanks," I smiled at her to which she nodded.
"Right, well this is going to be hard. I don't know if there's even a proper way to physically trap a demon. Every book I've come across has no successful way," Crystal spoke.
A smirk rose to my face, "Maybe not on Earth." a questionable look rose to her face.
I looked towards Stella, "Call Axel. If I call him and he's around Lucifer, he'll probably tell him or something," I informed her.
She nodded her head and called Axel on speaker.
"Hello babe," he answered the phone. Crystal and I silently 'awed' at how Axel called her babe. Stella blushed but rolled her eyes at us. "Hi, is Lucifer around you?" she asked.
"No. I'm in the living room. He's in the kitchen on the phone. Why?" he asked.
Stella looked towards me.
"I need you to keep him busy and away from Hell for about 5 hours," I spoke. "Sure, may I ask why?" he asked.
I looked at Crystal and Stella as I was trying to make an excuse. "She just want some girl time with me and Crystal so she's showing us around," Stella replied for me.
"Oh, well alright. Just don't cross over the bridge to the other side. You'll burn. Matter of fact, just please stay in the mansion," he pleaded.
"Alright, thank you," Stella thanked him. "No problem babe. Love you," he replied.
"Love you too," she chirped before hanging up. Crystal and I burst out in 'awes' causing Stella to blush.
I looked at her with a smile, "You guys are really serious?" I asked referring to her and Axel's relationship. She nodded her head, "Yeah. He's really awesome and just so sweet to me. I really love him," she smiled. Crystal and I once again 'awed' causing Stella to gush.
"Okay, okay. I get it! Can we go now," she whined causing Crystal and I to burst out laughing. I got up and so did they. I grabbed their hands and within a blink, we were in front of the mansion of Hell. Both of their mouths dropped in shock as they looked around to see the rest of Hell. I walked inside the mansion and they followed behind me. I showed them around before leading them into the library.
"This is like nerd heaven," Crystal screamed in excitement as she looked around. Her eyes then stopped to the center of the room which had The Book of Shadows and Prophecy. "It's the-"
"I know," Crystal muffled out in shock cutting me.
"Well I don't. What is it?" Stella asked walking up next to Crystal who was now standing in front it.
"It's The Book of Shadows and Prophecy. Only Lucifer can unlock it," she explained.
"Right, about that," I trailed off causing their eyes to flicker towards me, "It opened for me."
Crystal's eyes opened, "What?!" she shrieked.
I held my hand up in surrender, "I wasn't trying too! I was just reading and it started to knock. I walked up to it and it cut me when I touched it. It then opened and a green mist touched me. It felt a bit empowering but nothing else happened. It started to write something but I didn't get the chance to read it because it closed knowing ahead of time Lucifer was going to enter the room," I explained.
"Did you tell him?" Stella asked. I slowly shook my head. "No, I mean I want to but at the same time I don't. He warned me saying it's bad news. Also I think it would be bad to tell him considering that it opened for me and Lucifer said it wouldn't. Something about that just isn't right," I admitted.
They both nodded. "You have a point," Stella spoke.
"Right, so I guess we should get started," Crystal spoke.
"Yes, to get certain topics on books, just say the topic along with saying 'Books on'. To return the books, just say 'Return books on' followed by the topic you said," I informed them.
"That's just cool," Stella gasp along with Crystal.
We all laughed and I tried my best to explain to them how time works down in Hell apart form Earth then warned them about reading anything out loud from the book. After than, we spent the rest of the time quietly reading, looking for answers. It felt as if hours had past by. We were now just sitting around a table just staring off into nothing. It honestly felt hopeless.
Something clicked and my eyes flickered to the book in the center of the room. I ignored it but this only caused it to echo a bang throughout the room causing us to bolt up from our seats.
I let out a scoff, "Seriously?" I found myself shouting at the book.
"That was the book?" Crystal asked. I nodded my head as I looked over to it only to see it was gone. "Uh, Sky," Stella's voice came out a bit shaky.
I looked at her to see her looking in front me. I looked down to see it was the book. It flew open and the green mist came out which now shifted into a black mist. I looked to see the pages violently turning. I waited for it to stop but it seemed like there was endless pages.
"STOP IT!" I shouted angrily at it but it kept going. In anger I picked up the book and slammed it shut only to it to pop back open. I went to grab the book again but the black mist pulled me back. My head then whipped up so I was now staring at the ceiling. My body uncontrollably levitated off the floor and I felt myself losing consciousness.
Images flashed through my head. I could see a war taking places over a field. People fighting, demons to be exact. Dragons flying through the air. A image then flashed to the throne room where there was two thrones empty. I then flashed to an image of Sean sitting on the throne with a smirk on his face. Next to him was...me but I wasn't smirking. I was chained to the throne next to him. I then saw a whole arm bowing to him, worshiping him like a King.
A cemetery replaced the image and I saw a row to stones which all read the guys name. Sean then popped up again but this time, he was on Earth sitting in some sort of palace on a throne. People worshiping. It was no longer demons. Next to him was me but I wasn't chained. I was...smirking as if I found this entertaining. My smirk was sinister. It then switched to Sean kissing me.
I then blink as I looked up to the ceiling before gasping for air. I felt my body falling to the floor as I coughed rapidly trying to breathe. It was as if I was holding my breath.
"Oh my God! Are you okay?" Stella shrieked in horror as her and Crystal ran to my side helping me off the floor.
I nodded my head, "What happened?" I asked looking at both of them. Stella looked at Crystal who looked back at her. "Well, the mist thing kind of tackled you. You were gone for an hour, or at least it felt like that," Crystal spoke in a worried tone.
"It looked like a exorcism," Stella muffled out.
"It showed me Sean had taken over hell. Next to him was me chained to the throne. I was then shown a cemetery where all the guys were dead. It then showed me that Sean was in a palace on Earth. Next to him was me but I wasn't chained. I was smirking like I've been trained to go along with what he was going. Then it jumped to us kissing," I gagged as I thought of Sean and I kissing.
I looked to the book that was now closed and back to the center of the room.
"Don't believe everything that comes from it. It's evil," Crystal assured me. I looked at her to see she was giving me a small smile.
Stella nodded, "Although I know nothing, I can tell you that you're a stubborn girl so it's pretty much impossible to change you let along train you to join him." Crystal laugh, "Stubborn indeed."
I rolled my eyes, "Ha, ha. Very funny."
We put back all the books we took out then stood around the room. A smile then rose to my face as I looked at them. "I think we should take a break. Would you like to see something cool?" I asked.
They both nodded in excitement.
"Okay but it's a surprise. You have to close your eyes and keep them covered until I tell you otherwise," I spoke in a stern tone. They both nodded and shut their eyes. I held their hand and flashed us into the realm with the mythical creatures. Looking around, I saw we were in the flat fields.
"Don't open your eyes and put your fingers in your ears," I grinned even though they couldn't see me. They did as took and I looked around.
"JELLAL!" I shouted from the top of my lungs.
I waiting a few seconds. I heard something flapping and I looked up to see it was the Griffin, not Jellal. The Griffin landed next to me and I pet him before scratching his head. "Hi there," I spoke in a baby voice. It let out a small noise greeting me back. "Do you know where Jellal is?" I asked.
It turned around and looked up. I followed its trail and waiting a couple of seconds only to see Jellal flying around. It dove down before gently landing. "Baby!" I squealed as I stroked the side of his face. I heard another flapping coming from above and I looked to see it was Enyalius. He landed next to Jellal and I walked over to pet him.
"Sky! Stop breathing on me!" Stella shouted in annoyance. I looked to see it was Jellal sniffing her. I could help but burst out laughing. I walked over to her and Crystal and pulled their hands out their ears. "Okay, open your eyes," I ordered. They both did and I kid you not, they almost shat themselves.
"This is...AWESOME!" Stella shouted in excitement. Crystal joined her as they both started to squeal and jump in excitement. I looked over to Jellal who gave me a 'Are-they-serious?' look before we turned back to look at them.
After they calmed down, we spent some time riding the dragons around. After what seemed like hours, we went back to the library and sat around a table trying to come up with a plan.
"Okay, so what if we create an universe or like a room that's another dimension and trap him there. Only certain people can enter and exit it but he can't. He'll be like a human in that place. No powers, no problems," Stella suggested, "Like a room in your house. Only you can enter it and exit it. You could take others in it but they have to wear some type of necklace or something. Or just enter with you."
Crystal and my eyes widened as we heard Stella's plan. "You smart-ass," I gasp causing her to grin. "I try," she burst it off.
"We could do that. I could do it in your basement. It's easy, but faking his death would be hard," Crystal sighed.
We sat back and thought for a bit.
"What if we create a special weapon that temporarily kills him but had somewhat the same effect as the dagger to kill the demons," I suggested. Crystal's eyebrow rose in confusion.
Within a blink, I flashed into Lucifer's vault and grabbed a dagger before flashing back to my seat. I placed the dagger on the table.
"We create a replica. When I stab him with the replica, it make him turn into ashes then vanish. Like dust disappearing. The dagger will teleport him to the trap room," I tried my best to explain.
Crystal nodded, "That could work but the getting the dagger to teleport him would be a bit tricky," she trailed off as she examined the dagger. Her eyes then lite up as if she figured it out, "Or, I could trap him in the stone and when everything's set, you just bring the knife into the room and break the stone for him to be released."
"You guys are just too smart," I fake cried causing them to laugh.
"Great, well, the room will take about a couple of hours. I don't know how I'll replicate the dagger though," Crystal frowned.
I shook my head, "Don't worry about that. I know someone."
"Okay, well I need to see the room you're planning to trap him in," she spoke standing up. I held my hand out for her and Stella to which they took it. I flashed into the back of my mansion. We walked to the back further down past the pool to a shed which had a underground basement. It was like an interrogation room which we never used. From the outside, it looked like a wooden portable toilet but when you opened the door, it let downstairs to the interrogation room the size of a master bedroom.
Once we reached the bottom level, Crystal looked around before walking back over to me. "This is going to be easier than I thought. Is that the only exit and entrance?" she asked gesturing to the door we came through. I nodded.
"Alright well, I could set it up now if you want," she smiled.
I shook my head, "No, it's almost midnight. We can do this later tomorrow," I said looking at my phone. Stella's eyes widened, "Really? I thought it was like 4 or 5," she gasped looking at her phone. I chuckled, "Yeah, Hell timing kind of fucks you over."
Crystal then passed me the dagger to which I took it. "Do you perhaps have a similar stone to this?" I asked pointing to the top to the dagger that had the black stone which reflexes a rainbow. She nodded, "Home," she took my hand. I took Stella's hand and flashed us back to her house. Crystal quickly jogged up the stairs whilst Stella and I sat on the couch.
Crystal came back in the room and sat on the table in front me. She opened her hand revealing the stone. "This is a crystal. The one on the dagger is a stone not a crystal but it looks the same. Before you have this inserted into the replica dagger, I need to do a quick ritual then when the dagger is finished being made, I need to do another ritual in the trap room," she explained. I nodded in understanding.
"We can do all this tomorrow. For now, we should just sleep," I gave her a small smile. She nodded and gestured for Stella and I to follow her. We went upstairs and walked into her bedroom.
"Sorry but I don't really have guest rooms set up and most of the rooms is used for rituals so you can take my bed. I'll sleep on the couch down-" before she could finish, I focused my powers causing one of her pillows to slam her upside the head.
Stella burst out laughing whilst Crystal glared at me. "It's a king size bed and you don't need to be sorry," I smiled at her.
She nodded before picking up the pillow and smacking me with it. "I only smacked you once," I shrieked as she started to chase me around the room. "One is not enough for you," she shouted chasing me.
"You guys are like 5 year-old," Stella laughed. Crystal and I both stopped in our tracks before looking at each other then at her. Stella's laugh quickly died down as she realized her mistake. Now she was being the one chased.
This went on for a while before she settled down in bed. Silence filled the room along with darkness as the lights were out. I was in the center as Stella and Crystal was on both side.
"Thank you guys for being my friends. I don't really have friends or let alone girl friends," I spoke breaking the silence.
"I should be thanking you guys," Stella chuckled. "Same here," Crystal agreed.
We said our goodnight and the girls quickly fell asleep.
I could tell just by today, they were going to be the greatest of friends for myself and each other. Friends that wouldn't run away or use me or each other. Friends that will stick with by each other through thick and thin. Friends who don't give up when it gets tough or turn their back on you. These were my lifetime long friends. The ones I will grow old with, Demon or not.
