Chapter 11
Song: Noah Kahan - Hurt Somebody
I stared at my lap where Gabe's head was laying. My tears were gone. I felt little sadness but was fueled with rage. I felt as if I was turning back to my ruthless self as I did in Hawaii but much worst. I wasn't going to let anything or anyone stop me from getting to Sean. I was going to kill him and make him suffer the way he made me suffer. I was going to give him a taste of his medicine but when I think about it, I don't want to kill him. Killing him would make his suffering to end faster as if he got off the hook easier. I was going to get him where I want him then make him relive it all again. A loop he couldn't escape. His own personal death realm. You fuck with me, it's fine but once you fuck with my family, you've crossed the line.
A hand was gentle placed on my shoulder and I didn't look up to see who it was. I just kept staring at Gabe.
"How was he able to follow her?" I heard Lucifer yelling at the girl who was standing in the circle. I assume she was a witch. "I-I don't know. He wasn't suppose to find her. I blocked the scent," she spoke out of fear of Lucifer.
I heard her gasping for air and knew he was going to kill her. "Put her down," I mumbled.
"I don't think you -"
"She didn't know and Sean knew something was going to happen. He didn't track me. He tracked Liana. He somehow knew she was working against him. Think about it. He has so many other girls to choose from but he chose her," I informed him slowly getting off the floor. I turned on my heels and looked to see everyone was staring at me. I walked over to the girl who had the look of fear as she looked into my eyes. It was pretty obvious my eyes was black.
"I'm not going to kill you. It wasn't your fault. If I was to flash back to where I was, would I be able to flash back on my own from there to here?" I asked her.
She slowly nodded, "Yes. I broke the bondage of the realm so you can travel as freely," she informed me.
I went to flash back to the ballroom but a hand head my wrist. It was Lucifer.
"I know you're mad but you can't just go back thinking you'll destroy everybody. We need to plan this out," he spoke in a soft tone.
I nodded my head, "I know and I already planned it out. Flash over there and kill them all. Simply," I spoke.
"Sky, it's not that-"
"Look, I know you want the best for me right now but there's nothing you can say to change my mind. Just take them to a safe place," I spoke in a stern tone referring to my brothers.
He let out a sigh and released my hand. With that, I flashed into Hell in the library. I looked around and say the book on how to kill demons was still on the table where Lucifer threw it. I walked over and opened the book. I turned the page to see a stone looking dagger. At the top of it held a black stone which reflected rainbow. I read through the page quickly. The dagger was located somewhere in Hell and it took only one stab to the heart with it to end a demon. Simply enough but there was one problem. I didn't know where the dagger was located.
A gush of wind flew around the room and I looked towards the center to see it was the green mist coming out from the book. I watched as it trailed across the floor towards the back of the room. I followed it to which it led me to a bookshelf. It then trailed up the wall and stopped on a book.
I reached for the book and took it out to see it had a padlock on it. The mist entered the book and the shelf clicked. I looked to see it turning around. I walked in and looked to see a room brightly light with weapons all around. The room was enormous like a stadium. Something slammed shut and I looked to see the doorway had closed and the book had also vanished from my hand. Looking around the room, I saw all sorts of weapons with the stone in them. Waiting now time, I grabbed a combat knife which had the stone and focused on the ballroom. I blinked and I was now staring and people roaming around freely. The room went silent as they noticed my appearance.
I looked ahead to see Sean sitting in his stupid made up throne. A sinister smirk rose to his face as he was me in the center of the ballroom.
"Welcome back," he cheered.
I scoffed at how he found this amusing.
"You killed my brother," I hissed out in anger. He nodded, "I did. It was a bummer. I kind of liked him but fuck it, right?"
"You can't fight me like a man so instead you have to be a little bitch about it," I snickered. He stood up by his seat in anger as I challenged his manhood.
"Sweetheart," he growled, "Just a second ago, you were so desperate you were kneeling down to me. Now you come back and threaten me? What, you're here to kill me?" he chuckled.
I let out a hysterical laugh, "No, killing you would be like giving you freedom. I'm here to kill everyone in this room and make you watch. Then, when I get my hands on you, I'm going to torture you to the point where you'll wish I had killed you," I growled.
He laughed along with some of the people in the room. I flashed over to one of the guys before stabbing him in the heart. I flashed back to the center of the room as the whole room watched as the guy vanished in to ashes. Sean's eyes widened as he looked back to me.
"How did you do that?" he asked as he looked at my hand. He couldn't see what it correctly looked like since my hand was clutched over the stone.
"Come and find out?" I smirked before flashing around the room taking out some of the guys and girls.
Some of them tried to stop me but I was to fast for them. I ended up talking out a couple of them before I was now jumped by a group of them. They soon all immediately vanished into ashes. I looked to see Lucifer in his demon form who was also holding a dagger similar to mine yet his one was bigger.
His looked at me for a brief second before turning to look straight ahead. I follow his trail to see he was look at Sean who was standing there in shock. Soon people from the room started to flash out in fear, not of my but of Lucifer and the dagger he held. I flashed over to Sean but within a second, he was gone. Looking around the room, I saw it was now empty excepting for Lucifer and I. Lucifer now stood in front me in his human form.
"How did you get a hold of the dagger?" he asked looking down at my hand.
I shrugged, "Just sniffed it out from your book," I lied not bothering to tell him about the green mist that came from the book. He hummed in response but I could tell he didn't believe me. I past him the dagger to which he took it in his hand. "What made you come?" I asked not bothering to still look at him.
"I wasn't going to let you come alone. I mean sure, you showed up alone but you get the idea," he spoke in a soft tone. I nodded my head and changed the topic. "I'm going home to get out of this dress and shower. I'll see you later," I mumbled. Before he could reply, I flashed into my room.
I took off the stupid dress and heels before shoving it into the little trashcan in the corner of my room. I walked into the bathroom and took a cold shower trying to numb my feelings. I got out after awhile and changed into a shirt, shorts and hoodie. I focused as flashed back into the place Gabe was shot. Looking around, the room was empty. Gabe's body was gone and so was his blood but you could still see the bloodstain that was now part of the ground.
Focusing my powers, I searched for James. Finally finding him, I focused and within a blink, I was standing in a lobby. I looked around to see it was the safe house that was off the grids that was on a different private island that didn't appear on the satellite or even maps. I looked ahead to see James sitting by himself at the bar drinking a drink.
I walked over to him and sat down on the stool next to him. Not saying anything or glimpsing over to me, he poured me a drink and passed it to me. I took it and drank the drink. It was hard rum.
"Did you kill him?" James tone turned ice cold as he was referring to Sean. I shook my head, "No, he disappeared before I could get a hold of him," I mumbled.
"Good. I don't want you to kill him," he spoke causing me to look at him. He didn't look at me. He kept his trail straight ahead the bar wall. "You don't?" I asked him in confusion.
He shook his head, "I want him to suffer. I want to see his pain and torture with my own eyes," he hissed out. I nodded agreeing with him. "That's what I'm planning to do. When I get to him, I'll find a way to just temporarily delay his death," I mumbled.
"Good," was all he said.
"Where did you put Gabe?" I managed to choke out. "He's in the lab, 023," he specified which lab house it was. In the organization, any dad bodies of enemies would taken to the lab depending on the crime they committed. Lab 023 was for us our personal use in case anything was to happen. For the rest of the time, we just sat there in the lobby, in silence drinking. Not to long after, Gabe called it a night and I was now sitting there by myself. The rest of the guy had long gone to their rooms or to their own homes before I had arrive so the house was quiet which gave me time to sort out my thoughts.
It was pretty obvious James had felt the same way I was feeling. He didn't want Sean just to die, he wanted him to suffer for what he did and I was planning to follow through with that. I just needed a way to make this happen. Knowing Lucifer, he would want me to kill him or he might kill him instead. He wouldn't want him to suffer they way I want him to despite him being the Devil himself and the punisher. I needed someone strong and powerful to help me out with this. If I told Axel what I wanted, he might turn me down and tell me I should kill Sean as soon as possible. He might even tell Lucifer about this.
Thinking of who to go too, I pulled out my phone and called Crystal. After a ring, she picked up.
"Hey," she chirped into the phone. "Hi, do you mind if I come over," I asked.
"Of course you can. Feel free to come over anytime. I'll text you my address," she chirped. I thanked her before she hung up. A few seconds rolled by and her address popped up on my phone. I googled it to see it was a house. Focusing, I flashed in front it and walked up to her door before ringing the doorbell. The door quickly flew open and Crystal launched herself towards me with a huge bear-hug. I let out a soft chuckle and hugged her back.
"It's been a while, huh?" I questioned. She nodded her head with a smile then dropped it before punching me in the arm. My eyebrow rose, "What was that for?" I shrieked.
"That was for almost getting me killed," she shouted back as she walked into the house. I followed her inside before closing the door. "When and how?" I asked.
She sent a glare at me, "For Guatemala. Lucifer almost killed me when he found out I helped you escape," he informed me as she dropped down on the couch.
I dropped down on the couch across from be and laid on my side as she was doing the same. "Oh, that...Well I did tell you he wasn't going to hurt or kill you," I reminded her. She looked at me as if she was thinking back, "True," she trailed off.
I gave her a toothy smile, "See, and here you are, in one piece," I nodded to her as she was casually laying on her side proping her head up with one arm.
"I guess, but you still deserve it for not texting me," she glared at me. I nodded, "True but I've been busy," I mumbled referring to Sean. "Fair enough. So, tell me what's been going on?" she asked in a concern tone.
I opened my mouth to answer but my phone started to ring. Letting out a sigh, I pulled it out my pocket to see it was Axel. I put the call on silent. "It's okay if you have to answer it you know," Crystal spoke in a soft tone.
I nodded, "I know. I just don't feel like talking to anyone else right now." She nodded in understand. I went to explain again but my phone cut me off again. Letting out a groan, I decided to pick up to see what he wanted.
"What's wrong now?" I spoke in a monotone.
"Okay, first of all Sunshine, I know you saw my call the first time and second of all, where are you?" he asked. "Crystal's house," I spoke looking at her only for her eyebrow to raise in curiosity. "Room?" he asked.
"Living room. Why?" I replied.
The line went dead and within a second, Axel was standing by the entrance way along with Stella who was holding a duffel bag.
Axel gave me a small smile before disappearing. I looked over to Stella who had a small smile on her face.
"Yay, sleep over," Crystal cheered as he jumped off the couch and tackled Stella with a hug to which she laughed and hugged Crystal back. My eyebrow rose in confusion," You two know each other?"
The both shook their heads.
I shook my head and walked over to Stella before hugging her. "Stella, meet Crystal. Crystal, meet Stella," I both introduced them to each other. The gave each other a small 'hello'.
"What are you doing here?" I asked Stella.
She shrugged, "Just thought you needed someone but I see you have this lovely person," she gestured to Crystal who just waved her off. "Oh stop it," Crystal spoke in the most girlish voice causing Stella and I to chuckle.
"Well, come on in," Crystal gestured to Stella. Stella thanked her before dropping her bag on the side of the couch and laid back. Crystal and I went back to or own couches before laying back down.
"So, what's been going on?" Crystal asked. I looked over to Stella who was new to all this. I wasn't sure if I wanted to say something that might scare her.
"It's okay. Axel managed to explain to me almost everything expecting what happen these couple of days. He said I should hear it from you," she informed me.
"Oh," was all I managed to get out. "Well, Sean still thinks he can take over hell. He crashed Lucifer's proposal a few days ago," I mumbled.
"That sucks but congrats!" Crystal chirped. Stella nodded agreeing to Crystal's statement, "Congrats as well," she smiled.
I thanked both of them.
"He then kidnapped Gabe and I and put us in this realm where I couldn't use my powers or flash out," I explained. Crystal scoffed, "I hate that realm," she hissed.
My eyebrow rose in questioning. She seem to have notice because she soon started to explain. "Before my mother past away, she made sure to teach me about practically everything there is to know. We spent a hold week in that realm. She trained me how to past around the barriers and get out of the realm. Took a lot of rituals and pints of blood. That realm is pure evil," she shivered as if she had vivid memories of it.
"Ah, well Lucifer, Axel and them figured out a way to break it and get Gabe and I out along with Mel," I informed her.
"Who's Mel?" Stella asked.
"She was my best friend," I replied.
"Not to seem nosy or rude but past tense?" Crystal ask referring to me using 'was'.
I nodded, "Before I was a demon, I faked my death and disappear for a month last year to get away from everything, Mel ended up sleeping around with Lucifer," I explained.
"Please tell me you kicked her ass," Stella scoffed.
I let out a chuckle, "I did when I returned but I didn't when I saw her yesterday. She was suppose to be dead but Sean had bought her soul back or something. I could care less about her to be honest," I mumbled.
"So what happened after you guys got out of the realm?" Stella asked.
"Sean somehow followed us and he killed Gabe before disappearing back to the realm. I managed to kill some of his guys with this dagger Lucifer has but he disappeared before I could get to him," I trailed of as I vividly flashed back to what happened.
"Gabe is actually gone?" Crystal asked sitting up on the couch. I nodded my head, "Yeah, there was nothing we could've done."
Stella and Crystal both walked over to me before sitting next to me and cradling me in a hug. "I'm so sorry," Stella spoke in a soft tone. "Don't worry. You'll get him," Crystal muffled into my hair. I wrapped my arms around both of them as we sat them in silence. Part of me wanted to just scream and the other part just wanted to disappear but that wouldn't do anyone any good.
A few minutes rolled by and Crystal broke out from the hug and stood in front of us. "What's your plan?" she asked.
"I was going to ask if you wanted to help me come up with a plan to-"
"I'm in," she cut me off. Stella nodded, "I know I'm human and may be of no use but I'm in as well," she chirped.
I looked at both of them with a shock look. "First of all, you don't even know what my plan is," I spoke to Crystal before looking at Stella, "And you can't get anymore involved than you already are. You could get hurt or worst. I'm not going through that again. This goes for you too," I spoke to her and Crystal.
"First of all," Stella mocked me, "I don't care what happens to me and I'm sure I'll be fine. My life was honestly boring before I met you. Besides were friends now and this is what friends do. We help each other out. Also, I don't have friends so you guys are basically like my only friends," she spoke referring to Crystal and I.
Crystal nodded, "Same to be honest," she admitted.
I also nodded, "Same. But I don't want you guys to get hurt."
"Sky, it would hurt us more if we just sat back and watch this all go down without helping. Like Stella said, we're friends. This is what we do," she reassured me.
A small smile rose to my face before I pulled both of them in for a hug. "Thank you guys so much," I squealed. They both giggled before hugging me back.
