CHAPTER ONE LEADUP

in the year of 1983 in Hawkins, Indiana, and the specific date of November 6th, the night was still young, but it seemed to be getting late faster and faster.

at the Hawkins National Laboratory U.S Department of Energy, the chaos that would soon strike the town was coming to its beginning. lights inside the building were quickly flickering, and out one of the large places many doors came an employed man wearing the 'uniform', basically a doctors coat.

it wasn't normal though. unlike they would typically be doing, this scientist/doctor pushed the door open and ran down one of the dozens and dozens of hallways.

'beep, beep, beep.'

not caring at the moment about how loud, or quiet he was, he turned to another hall and continued running, beginning to lose breath.

but he wasn't going to give up. with all the strength he had, the man continued to run faster and faster.

the man reached one of the big double doors at last, pressing the buttons for access but it wouldn't function correctly. what am I supposed to do, he thought as he turned back.

the moustached middle age man took a couple of moments to catch his breath, then turned back to the doors, hoping he'd find a solution to open them.

he continued to sweat more and more while pressing on the button continuously.

fear filled him as the lights continued flickering and was unable to get access.

moments later, he heard the noise. the noise that gave him nothing to worry about, so he thought.

he took a huge sigh of relief. the doors opened and as quick as he possibly could, he got on the elevator that revealed to be behind them.

for about 6 s Fonda straight, the half bald man clicked on the buttons in the elevator, hoping for it to close quickly.

the man breathed heavily and stood in place, watching the flashy lights and waiting for the elevator to close.

suddenly, weird noises started to happen from above his head. he slowly lifted his head up in fear and nervousness, but also curiosity.

and what was it, you wonder?

his mouth dropped open halfway and his eyes widened, and the sight he was seeing was causing shock that made him feel paralyzed but the urge to run all at once.

'AAAHHHH!'

with that, the man was never to be seen again as he was dragged up to the ceiling of the small space and the elevator doors shut.
