(tw: this is a cliffhanger chapter and i make the worst cliffhangers, so please. don't read if you hate my story/cliffhanger)

There she was, a dead Scootaloo. A gunshot in the head. All her life she was under Rainbow Dash's wing, and now she was lifeless. Rainbow didn't know what she was doing wrong at all. Soarin wanted to help her, but didn't. His masked self was fading subtly.

Soarin was walking up the stairs to Rainbow's room. He actually really liked her house, with it's shades of blue and white. It reminded him of a beach, to be honest.

"Okay, I need to seriously buck up. Celestia hates me, two people I loved are dead, my friends are cursed and the Elements of Harmony are hidden. What a messed up life." Rainbow paced around her bedroom quickly, helping herself to a cup of cold coffee. Soarin heard her as he stood behind the blue door. He walked in and sat down on the stool.

"Alright, Rainbow. Listen. You can't achieve anything if you freak out so much. Think. For example, when you were a part of the Wonderbolts flying team, were you freaked out? Yes. But you managed to stay calm enough to be with us. And me. So why are you freaking out now? You're gonna defeat Tirek, with or without me." He got up and sat down next to her.

"Wow. . . thanks, Soarin. But... I need your help finding the elements. You have some kinda sense that helps you find metals, right?"

"How did you know that? But yeah, I do. It helps me stay away because of my tetanus disease."

"Wow, um... okay, I'll need your help. So, we're going through Tirek's path up to his castle and leaving the school because Celestia and everyone who's still alive is gonna kill him while we're in hiding."

"Alright!"

"Also, you might need something to carry, like a bag? I'm messaging you a list of items to put in it, because the journey up isn't easy."

"Yeah, sure. I've gotta go, because I need to, pack, you know? Like pack my stuff, pack my things, pack my clot-"

"I get it, Soarin. Seeya later, alligator."

And Soarin was gone. From the room, of course.

Rainbow Dash sent the following message to Soarin: 

Soarin read her message about ten minutes after it was delivered, and the two of them went to sleep early.

In the middle of the night, Rainbow Dash had a terrible nightmare. She was crossing the bridge to Tirek's ancient castle, the winds intensified, and the bridge snapped in two. Soarin couldn't make it in time to save her from the snapped halves, and she fell into the deep ravine. As she fell to the ground, she was in so much pain, and she hit the ground and woke up.

"What the hell? That was so realistic, but- but I still stood here. I need to wake Soarin." And like that, she ran off to Soarin's.

The two houses were actually not that far, but it was a 10 minute walk in the day, and a 30 minute one in the night, because the roads were shut. Rainbow ran up the stairs and opened the door without knocking. Soarin's room was super aesthetic, filled with Polaroid's and boho decorations.

It looked like this, and he shared a room with his sister, who moved out years ago. Soarin was a certified artist and soft guy, but he was pretty good at roasting people.

Rainbow Dash jumped on the bed and shook Soarin a couple of times. He woke up instantly, and screamed after he heard what happened.

"We have to go right now, did you pack the stuff I sent you?"

"Yep, I did."

"Okay, perfect."

The two of them took the city bus, as they needed to get from CHS to the airport, and it was very far from where they lived. After the bus ride, they flew from Canterlot to a faraway land that was known for not having a name. The reason why it wasn't named was because Tirek didn't want to reveal where he resided. But, Rainbow was able to find Tirek's palace through an old map that she found in the Castle of The two Sisters. The map was actually useful for once!

Tirek's castle was actually very vintage. His castle had six floors, each one had a seperate purpose. Rainbow assumed he lived on the topmost one, that was guarded by several booby traps. The two of them snuck under a costume made by PRE-Rarity that was hidden in her closet, it actually paid a use here. They huddled around each other and crawled about the room. Tirek wasn't there but his guards were. One of them was. . . eating something? It looked like a turkey tuna sandwich with mayonnaise.

"That is so gross, what the heck?" Rainbow whispered to Soarin. 

"Oh my god, I know right?"  Soarin whispered back. 

"If you're killing someone, have good taste in food"

"Oh Rainbow, you're so funny!" Soarin blew their cover by laughing too hard at his friend's joke. 

"You idiot! You blew our cover! RUN!" Rainbow whisper shouted, and the two of them got out of the castle. Tirek wasn't there, so they really couldn't do anything. 

"Phew! Now that we're out, we can finally stretch." Soarin said.

Rainbow chuckled. "Let's go back to school, hopefully the entrance is still ope-"

Right at that moment, a bunch of rocks fell down upon the two of them.

"Soarin.  . . you might wanna move. Wait a damn minute. I almost forgot. We have to get the Elements of Harmony! BACK TO TIREK'S CASTLE BEFORE THE ENTRANCES ARE BLOCKED!"

(a/n: alr before i continue i'm gonna say this chapter and book is rly shitty why are people reading it smh)

"Uh, we'll split ways! You go and check from the back, I'll take the front staircase?"

"Don't see how that'll work but okay" before she finished, Soarin was gone.

"Sometimes, I wonder if he's alright."

Rainbow was running through the landslide storm, picking up the pace with her every move. She made it to the place where the elements were hidden, which was rather peculiar. It was a bathroom drawer. Covered in slime, and a little bit of dirt, she made it out with the chest. She had asked Soarin to meet her when she texted him but, he wasn't there.

Rainbow went to the front of the castle where Soarin was standing, and the horror met her eyes. Soarin was chatting with Tirek about how and what he was going to do next, and Tirek asked him a very important question.

"Soarin. . ., will you join me in helping the world not become Earth, but my land as a whole?"

"SOARIN! You... you-you're, gonna help Tirek, and not me? Are you going to help the most evil person on this planet, or me? An innocent humble being who asks for nothing but peace?" The fire in Rainbow's eyes grew wider and wider until Soarin finally answered.

"Um... I- I..." and Soarin ran out.

Rainbow and Tirek glared at each other, for what seemed like forever.

I am so sorry for updating so much later, my computer was taken for a while and I was sick for two days, and yesterday I had pulled an ankle muscle due to dance. I hope that you will still read this chapter and support me :))
