Amos

Seeing her walking through that portal, Amos felt an uncomfortable feeling, even if he neither couldn't understand the reason or, maybe, he preferred ignoring it.

«Now that the girl is momentarily absent, would you like to tell me what we should look for and the reason for which you let her go so easily? Because you can trick that naïve girl, but those thousand years of life have thought me that a few people do nothing for nothing and I am pretty sure you are not among this inner circle.» Amos explained, attracting the woman's curiosity, who put on an icy smile which could easily put out a fire, "kindly" dismissing the hoary man with her.

"Uh, uh, I must be in troubles. From being imprisoned in a cell, now I find myself in miko's order hands and, honestly, I don't know if they are worse than those bloated Golden Dragons! Damn it, I must find a way to go out the soonest possible, otherwise there'll be trouble." He thought, but he had to come up with something to avoid that she took it out on Clara and her family. He had a debt with her and he would have honored it at all costs.

«You have really a bad opinion about us, and yet you should better than anyone that do everything in the name of peace. Back to us, instead, I can assure you that I am not concocting malefic plans, we simply need that those instruments come back to us. They are extremely powerful and if they ended in the wrong hands, we would all be in danger.»

Listening to her, she seemed honest, but not always the end justifies the means and, surely, using vile threats to get to his goals wasn't not his style.

«Tell me, threatening her to harm her family seems correct to you? Answer me!» The young man shouted. It's matter of principle; when he had a purpose, he just hit him, leaving in peace his family.

«I can assure you that I have no intention of harming any of them. We fight for the triumph of good, how can you think something like this?»

«Because I am around since a lot longer than any of you and I know that even "Law's paladins" like you are capable of depths worthy of the evil beings, hiding behind the so praised good intentions, but I promise you that I won't let you lay a finger on her. Now tell me, what's next?»

«At the moment, you can go. Tomorrow morning, I'll send you to her.» The miko candidly said like it was normal.

«I thought you were crazy, but, now, I am sure. Do you want to send me to a stranger world and make me meet her family? And what the hell should I say? "Our world is in danger and your daughter is fundamental to prevent our destruction, but you don't have to worry because she can go home every time she wants, well, if she doesn't die before, it's clear".» Amos was really upset and upsetting a millenarian being!

«Exact, this seems a fantastic summary. Well, even if I would try being a little less direct with her parents, said like this they could get scared; try being the most reassuring as possible. I suggest you to use your charm; if you engaged, you would be able to conquer anyone.» She answered with a belly laugh.

"At least, she can laugh. This heartens me, but it's a pity that she did it on my misfortunes." He regretted increasingly bitter and tendered.

«Listen, let me go alone. I will find everything you need; I could even come back to that hovel if I have to, but leave her in peace, at the end, she doesn't know nothing of us or of our world, she would be just a burden.» Amos tried to convince her, but in vain.

«I am sorry, you tried, but my answer is the same. The girl is chosen, just like you. I don't know yet the reason, but she has spiritual powers and working together you will win against evil and, moreover, I don't think you can't stan each other like you say, but this is just a modern impression!» Lillybeth explained.

«What... But... Damn it, I don't want a burden like her, I work better on my own, is it clear?» He protested, embarrassed!

«Sure! Anyways, if you help us, you won't have to go back to jail, since you will serve your sentence helping us. It seems a fair deal, don't you think so?»

The dragon kept silent, even because if had talked, he couldn't guarantee for himself!

«Fantastic, so it is settled. May heaven bless you and, don't worry, because we will be with you for every doubt or clarification.» She exulted, jumping like a chirping cricket! She had already decided everything so much for democracy!

«Indeed, come to think of it, instead of waiting until tomorrow, what would you think of going now? The soonest the situation is cleared, the better will be for everyone.» She "proposed".

«Absolutely not...» Amos answered, even if didn't end the sentence before feeling the ground vanishing under his feet and strong wind dragging him down. That witch had already opened a portal without even consulting her. This was beyond the unthinkable!

«Damn old witch, I want you to know that I will have my revenge and you will you regret this choice.» He shouted, while trying not being sucked up!

«Oh, thank you, I was about to forget it, give this to her. She will know how to use it and, now, good travel.» The object was a pendant with a beautiful orange gem.

"How come she should know how to use it since that until a little ago she didn't even know to have powers?!" He realized skeptical, even if his doubts would have soon found an answer since he was being beamed to that unknown world where Clara came from.

Once there, he found himself in a tub, but didn't have the time neither to watch around that he heard a shrill cry. He opened his eyes to see Clara red as a pepper, naked and definitely angry!

«What the Hell are you doing in my bathroom when I am about to take a shower?» She shouted against him, putting something fluffy and not well identified on, to cover herself.

«It's a long story. If you gave me just a minute, I will tell you everything, ok?» He asked extremely uncertain with her gaze on him, uncertain of killing him or not!
