Megan's POV

I was getting ready for the day. I live in a small village about 2,000 miles away from the big city. my boyfriend lives here too. his name is Nerco but sometimes I call Nero. it's been 20 years since the first wave hit the earth. I was only a kid back then. my grandfather taught how to shoot a gun and a bow but he was killed in the first wave. there a knock at my door.

: coming"

I went downstairs to my living and saw Nerco standing outside my door. I opened the door and hugged Nerco.

Nerco: hey babe"

: Nero"

Nerco: Megs, what's today's plan?".

: the frames need me".

Nerco: is it ok if I join you?"

: I don't mind babe but first, can we get breakfast?"

Nerco: of course babe, I will cook".

: thanks, babe, I need to get something from my room"

Nerco: you're welcome babe, anything you want?"

: normal"

Nerco: eggs, bacon, and coffee?"

: yep"

I went to my room and grabbed my grandfather's watch.

I looked at the picture of me and my grandfather. I was only 7 at the time. About 3 years ago Nerco asked me to be his girlfriend. In 3 days are mine and his anniversary. I love you Nerco

I fixed the watch and went downstairs. I saw Nerco cooking I walked over to him and kissed him on the cheek.

Nerco: nice watch babe"

: thanks, it belonged to my grandfather"

Nerco: your welcome, how many farmers need your help?"

: five"

Nerco: wow, that's almost all of them" 

: I know but I love helping out around here ever since the first wave"

Nerco placed a plate down near him and his eyes was showing sadness and fear.

I hugged him, Nerco placed his cup of coffee down and hugged me back. he lost most of his family in the first wave. 

: Nero, I'm here for you"

Nerco: I'm here for you too"

we sat at the mini bar I had built in my living room.  we finished eating and cleaned the plates off. we went to the fields and saw the farmers who need my help but something was off about the sky. I looked up and saw a black cloud. Nerco grabbed my hand and we ran back to my house. when we got back to my place Nerco was not looking good. 

: babe what's wrong"

Nerco: Megs please listen to me we need to get to my place and stay there for a while ok"

: ok, but what is this about?"

Nerco: they are going to send another wave"

I hugged Nerco, I was scared. Nerco hugged me back. 

: babe, I'm scared"

Nerco: me too, but we will make it...I promise" 

I looked up at Nerco and he was looking out the window. Nerco my love.

Nerco: babe, please go pack anything you want from here"

: ok" 

I went upstairs to my room and grabbed a bag and started to pack some clothes. I grabbed the picture of me and my grandfather. I heard Nerco downstairs talking. I went downstairs and hugged Nerco. Nerco hugged me back 

Nerco: we need to get to my house" 

we ran to his house and I was scared, Nerco opened a secret door in his house. we went down to the basement. there was a map on the wall, 

Nerco: we can stay here until things get worst"

: babe, you was you talking too?"

Nerco: I was planning something for later"

the next day 

I was clearing the dishes when I heard screams, Nerco came upstairs from the basement and quickly grabbed my arm. 

Nerco: we need to go"

we ran out of his house and we made it to the forest, I had no choice put to use the watch's powers. 

: babe, grab my hand, please " 

Nerco grabbed my hand and I clicked the button on the side of the watch. we were teleported to my grandfather's secret cave.

Nerco: that was cool"

The last thing I saw was Nerco.

Nerco's POV

Megan passed out, I caught her.

: Mega! Babe?!!!" 

she didn't answer me. I was getting worried. I saw a door. why is there a door in a cave? I picked Megan up ina bridal style and opened the door. there was a bedroom, I placed Megan on the bed. Babe, please be ok.

??: Nerco are you there?"

: Zane thank god, how is everything at the lab?"

Zane: good, Toph and Jack are working super hard, how are you and the girlfriend of yours?"

: she passed out"

Zane: what?!"

: she passed out for something and we are in a cave"  

Zane: I can't track your location ... there something is blocking you"

I flipped open my pocket watch and saw a picture of me, Zane, Jack and Toph at the lab. 

Zane: Toph! stop playing with the gases!"

Toph: no!"

: TOPH! * I claimed down* please don't play with the gases"

Toph: yes sir"

I put my pocket watch away and went to the main part of the cave. a work table, 7 gun cases. I looked in the cases and saw an M60 machine gun. oooo me likey ( sorry DarkSpyro I had to) I looked at the case next to the M60. there was a pistol there was severely guns on the floor and tables. I looked at the map and it was showing the village and the big city. 

:* to himself* why would this cave have a map of the village?"

I looked closer at the map and saw the name " STEVEN D."

:* to himself* who the hell is Steven D?!"

I went back to the bedroom and saw Megan still sleeping. I touched her forehead. she was burning up. I started to panic what do I?! I opened my pocket watch and connect to the lab.

: Zane!"

Zane: yes Nerco?"

: MEGAN'S IS BURNING UP!!!"

Zane: first calm your ass down!"

I slowly calmed down. 

: ok I'm calm" 

Zane: good now listen get a cold wet rag, places it on her forehead and see if the cave has any water and food"

: ok wait I saw a map with a name Steven D on it"

Zane: Steven D.."

Zane stopped the connections and I did what he told me to do.
