Nerco's POV

I wiped the tears away from my eyes. I looked over at Megan who crying too. I walked over to Megan. 

: babe, one day we will be at the alter"

Megan: yes we will"

I was about to say something when Blaze ran over to Shad and Nova. I and my dad ran over to her. 

Shad: she just passed out"

Dark: honey can you see why she passed out?"

Day:* touched Nova's forehead* someone was trying to link with her but she fought it"

Shad: how is my child?"

my mom moved her hand down to Nova's stomach. 

Day: your child is ok"

Shad smiled at Day. 

I gently picked her up and carried her to the ER. Shad went back to his crystal ashamed of his self. I placed her on the bed and my brother Blaze hooked the machines up to her. Megan walked into the room. 

Megan: babe?"

: babe, please try to call Shad"

Megan: I can try"

Shad's POV 

I was ignoring my master call. I was ashamed of my self for letting Nova and my child getting hurt under my watch. I grabbed my sword and raised it to my arm. 

Flame: don't you dare, you have a child to rise"

: my child is not born yet"

Flame: go be with her and stay by her side. don't make me  kick your butt"

I dropped my sword and teleported to Nova. it was 2:00 am. I gently touched her hand

: Nova, I'm sorry... I should have been here earlier"

Nova's POV

??: Nova I need you to come to me"

: who are you?"

??: trust me. you need to come to the lava pool tonight I will bond with you"

: wait a minute... Burn Heart?!"

Burn Heart: yes, listen I need to see you"

: I can't, you are in lava and I'm carrying a child"

Burn Heart: I will save you before you hit the lava"

: are you sure?"

Burn Heart: yes"

The next Day, No One's POV

Everyone was busy at work. All of a sudden Nova screamed. Everyone ran to the kitchen and saw a man holding Nova with a knife near her neck.

Shad: LET HER GO!"

??: Nope"

The person disappeared. One of Tv turned on

??: if you want the girl give me the five crystals if not the girl will die in Lava"

Day, Dark, Max Nick, and Nerco shifted into their forms. Shad transformed into his form. Everyone went to the cliffside where the man was holding Nova.

??: hand over the crystals"

Nerco: no!"

The man let go of Nova and she started to fell in the lava. Shad's powers started to rise. Before Nova hit the lava something or someone caught her.  The lava-like thing went to a waterfall (but made of Lava ) there was a huge open space island in the middle of the lava rivers.

Nova's POV

I opened my eyes and saw a Phoenix standing in front of me.

: Burn Heart?"

Burn Heart: hello Nova"

: you keep your promise"

Burn Heart: yes I did, we need to help them"

: I can't fight"

Burn Heart: I know you can't but I can"

He gently placed his head on mine and I felt us bonding. Burn Heart gently placed me on his back.

Burn Heart: hold on"

Burn Heart flew out of the temple and went to the cliff.

No One's POV

Shad was fighting the man who killed Nova. Nerco could tell he was going to fighting until his last breath. All of a sudden a huge bird flew past everyone on the cliff.

Day: BURN HEART!"

Burn Heart: hey Day"

Dark: how do you know my wife?!"

Burn Heart: Phoenix sight dummy"

Burn Heart placed Nova gently on the ground and attacked the men.

Nerco & Nick: Nova!"

Nova: Dad, Nick!"

Nick and Nerco ran over to Nova. Max gently placed Nova's head on his lap. Burn Heart went into his human/ warrior form.

The lava river started to pulse.

Burn Heart: LET'S FIGHT!"

When the Lava reached the cliff. Max, Nerco, and Nick moved Nova to the bases ER. Shad knew a spell but it would kill him too.

Shad: hey you"

Burn Heart: yes?"

Shad: are you Burn Heart?"

Burn Heart: yes"

Shad: I need you to watch over Nova and my child please"

Burn Heart: I'm confused"

Shad: just do it! I know a way to kill this ASSHOLE!"

Burn Heart stopped fighting and teleported to Nova.

Day: Shad what are you thinking about?"

Shad: Dynamite Collapse"

Flames: are you FUCKING crazy?!"

Shad: I'm saving my child and girlfriend"

Shad grabbed a hold of the person and tears started to fall.

Shad: DYNAMITE COLLAPSE!"

the ground under Shad and the man broke and there was a huge expansion of fire and Choas magic. Dark wrapped his wings around Day.

Later that night, Nova's POV

I was crying my heart out I just lost the love of my life he was protecting me and my family.

Flames: Nova I know you are lost Shad, I lost my brother in arms today
If there's anything you need please don't hesitate to ask"

: Flames as much as I wish to do that I just don't know I lost the love of my life the father of my child I don't know if I could be happy again"

Flames: I may not know how to raise a child, I will be here if you ever need anybody to talk to all you have to do is say my name your mother has my crystal. I will protect your child and you"

: Flames, don't you have your own child to worry about?"

Flames: Aria... I told her that I was in love with her and she told me that she didn't feel the same way so no I don't"

: Flames, I am so sorry"

Flames: it's ok, can I ask you something"

: sure"

Flames: since you connected to burn heart would that make your Power stronger?"

: I think so yes I haven't really tested them out yet ever since what happened to......"

Flames gently hugged me. I started to cry. Flames gently rubbed my back. why do I feel safe with Flames? there was a knock on my door. 

Flames: who is it?"

Nerco: It's Nerco... Nova's father Flames"

Flames: come in"

my dad walked into my room. I looked at with tears still in my eyes. 

Nerco: Flames, thank you for comfiting my daughter"

Flames: you're welcome sir, I was hoping to ask you something"

Nerco: ask away"

Flames: is it ok if I protect Nova in replacement of Shad?"

Nerco: please"

Flames:  Nova and her child will have no harm come to them as long as I'm breathing"

Nerco: thank you Flames. my father wants to talk to you"

Flames: sir Dark?"

Nerco: yes"

Flames left my room and my father hugged me. 

Dark's POV 

I was sitting with my wife. there was a knock on my bedroom door. 

: who is it?"

Flames: General Flames of the crystals"

: come in"

Flames walked in and looked at me

Flames: you wanted to see me, Sir?"

: yes, I need a favor"

Flames: yes sir"

: can you please watch over Nova and her child?"

Flames: sir, I will protect her with my life. I have already promised Sir Nerco I would protect his daughter and grandchildren"

Day: Flames. is there any way Shad could be alive?"

Flames: I don't know Lady Day, he used a killing spell and I can still feel his crystal in my master Magen"

Day: so he could be alive?"

Flames: maybe"

all of a sudden Flames fell to the ground holding his chest. I ran over to him and helped over to a chair. 

Day: Flames are you ok?"

Flames: Megan just lost Shad's crystal and she needs a new one"

Day: we need to find one soon"

Flames: I know where one is, it's north of the lava temple of Burn Heart. I'm the only fire magic crystal"

: what is the crystal for?"

Flames: I can use its powers to have my ultimate power form, but it serves as a backup crystal from the one that was lost".

Day: wow"

Flames: Dark, please watch Nova for while I get the Crystal"

: I will"

Flame's POV

I teleported to the temple and saw the crystal. the crystal was floating in the middle of the room. I went into my ultimate form even though it was hurting me. I tried not to passes out. 

: I general Flames of the crystal, wish to have my ultimate form, so I can protect the one I promised, I have a crush on this girl but Shad took her away from me..."

the crystal: Nova Breaker Spyurs?"

: yes, I wanted to be her boyfriend but Shad beat me too it"

the crystal: do you love her?"

: yes I do"

the crystal: why do you love her?"

: she kind, sweet, caring, and she is a phoenix... I can't her father know that I'm a dragon"

the crystal: her grandfather is a dragon and you are too, you should not be ashamed of your dragon side"

: I can't show my dragon without my ultimate powers"

the crystal: then I give you the ultimate power you need, tell Dark this news. his wife's ex is alive and Shad was working for him. Nova was a pawn in their plan to kill lord Dark but Shad had made a promise to Dark and Nerco about protecting Nova with his life. you need to tell them... Shad has died but Life is still out there waiting to kill Dark" 

the crystal came to me and bonded with me. I felt some much power coming from my new side. I shifted into my dragon form and went back to the base. I landed near the base's main door. 

Nerco: um.... who are you?"

: where is Nova?"

Nerco: in her room, WHO ARE YOU!"

Nova: Flames?!"

I lowered my head and looked her in the eyes. Nova gently placed her hand on my nose, I gently blow on her hand. Nova smiled and hugged my neck. I shifted out of my dragon form and hugged her back. 

Nerco: FLAMES?!"

: sorry, I could not tell you that it was me but I have to get to Megan"

I summoned my second crystal. it looked like a flame. Dark appeared near me and smiled. 

Dark: it looks like we have another pureblood dragon"

: yes we do sir"

I handed the crystal to Dark and he went to Megan's room. I looked at Nova, her eyes was a little white. I gently hugged her. 

:* whispers* Nova, I love you but Shad took you away from me... Shad was using you for his plans"

Nova looked at me with tears in her eyes. Nerco heard me and attacked me. I landed on the ground. Nerco's claw was on my neck. 

Nerco: WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"

: tell Dark this news. his wife's ex is alive and Shad was working for him. Nova was a pawn in their plan to kill lord Dark but Shad had made a promise to Dark and Nerco about protecting Nova with his life. you need to tell them... Shad has died but Life is still out there waiting to kill Dark... the crystal told me to tell Dark"

Nerco: my father"

Nova: dad please, Flames is no harm to us... he was helping me when I was crying about the traitor Shad. I should say, my ex-boyfriend"

Nerco: but Nova did Shad make you happy?"

Nova: a little... I feel safe with Flames"

Day: Flames is a dragon and Nova is a phoenix the legend was been saved again"  

: the legend?"

Day: me and Dark are apart of a legend called the Legendary lovers. I have completed the legend already, Nova  what do you feel about Flames?"

Nova: I feel safe and happy with Flames, I don't know much about him but he promised me, he would protect me and my child"

hey, guys, this is the end of book one of the War series I hope you enjoyed it like me and the person you made this book an amazing. there will be a book 2 and it will catch up where this one left off at. I know I said I was going to put this book on hold but I had a little free time to work on my favorite story.
