Chapter 13
1 Year Later...
Jiya.
I was suddenly back in that abandoned warehouse, far away from the population of the city, my hands and legs tied to the wooden chair I was sitting on.
I was screaming yet again for Arsal, for Daniyal, for Baba, for someone to just take me away from this hell, to save me.
We had been leaving for Islamabad as per decided when our car had been stopped in the middle of the road and they took me on gunpoint saying "Arsalan Qadir Ali wants to play, so he better be ready to lose." To Baba, Mama and Daniyal.
.
The man was back...
It wasn't as if he looked like the general villain. No, he looked like the guys who play the part of the heroes but I had realised that Rohan Shah was no hero.
And then it had all happened so suddenly. One minute I was tied to the chair and screaming for someone to help, for that guy to not come any closer and then...
...BANG
A gunshot. Somewhere close and Rohan pulled a gun form his waist band and kept it on my temple. He was standing behind me and was now looking around at sound of gunshots.
Then Daniyal and Affan Bhai were coming from opposite me where they were in full view, with them 2 police officers as well.
"It's over Rohan!" Daniyal yelled and the guy behind me barely even twitched.
"The police has this warehouse surrounded and you, you're game is over." That was Affan Bhai and his words definitely made an impact because he violently dug the gun in my temple.
"Don't take a step forward or-" He was cut off in the middle as someone attacked him from behind.
Daniyal and Affan Bhai ran to me freeing me of the restraints. When I could see, what I saw was Arsal fighting with Rohan on the floor trying to get the gun which was between them.
And the another gunshot. The last one.
"ARSAL!"
"Jiya! Jiya wake up! It's just a dream." The voice pulled me out of my slumber. I had probably had another nightmare about that night.
When I opened my eyes I saw Arsal rubbing my hand. He smiled at me as he saw my opened eyes.
"You okay?" Arsal asked me handing me a glass of water from his side table.
"Yeah.." I replied distractedly. Took the glass of water and only drank a little bit before putting it back on the side table.
Arsal looked so sad, like he was beating himself up for what had happened to me.
I took his hands in mine holding them tightly. "I am fine Arsal." I gave him a small smile as well and he lightly nodded.
"I'm just worried." Thinking about something to distract him I remembered that today Naina and Shams Bhai are coming and along with them Kiran and Ruhail. And that Daniyal is coming as well from Islamabad.
"Are you excited?" I asked him out of the blue and his confused face showed that he had no idea what I was talking about.
"To meet Naina and Shams Bhai's son?" A smile broke out on his face as he leaned back against the headboard and I joined him.
"I have become an Uncle now." Arsal said with disbelief evident in his voice. But my smile also showed my excitement.
"And I have become an aunt." I announced to which he turned to me.
"You're beautiful, you know that right?" His soft smile and his eyes with so much passion were all that I needed.
"Now that you have told me, yes." He leaned forward at that his forehead rested against mine with both aur eyes closed he very slowly and softly with so much love said.
"I love you."
I had to pull back a little and look at him because it was the first time he had said this.
He was looking at me lovingly, with a smile so precious and his eyes full of emotions. I closed my eyes for a moment. But when I opened them I looked him in the eyes trying to convey my emotions and said.
"I love you."
And at that the smile that broke onto his face was undescribeable. He looked so happy yet so content.
.
Around noon was the time when Naina, Shams Bhai, Kiran and Ruhail arrived with Daniyal in tow just a few minutes later.
Naina and Shams Bhai's sons name was, well they had decided upon Uzair. Uzair Shams Khan.
"Are you excited?" Naina, Kiran and I were once again sitting in Naina's room. And I had asked this question to Kiran who was getting married in a month.
"Of course I am." Kiran said with a big smile. "I have so many plans. And not just for me for you two as well." Naina and I looked at each other with questioning looks.
But Kiran wasn't giving us much choice and it was her wedding.
"Anyways how are things between you and Arsal, now?" Naina diverted the attention towards me and now Kiran was waiting for my answer as well.
"We're happy." I told them and a goofy grin had graced my face, seeing which Kiran and Naina also grinned at me.
"I am really glad that you and Arsal are getting through it all." Naina gave me a side hug because of Uzair in her lap. I hugged her back and Kiran joined the two of us.
"I'm just glad that everything with the Shah's is over." Naina and Kiran just gave me sympathetic nods.
"Is she going to be okay doctor?" I could hear two voices. One sounded so familiar and hoarse and broken and the other so unnone and professional.
"She passed out due to exhaustion, dehydration, adrenaline and fear." The unnone voice paused for a second which I am assuming is the doctor.
"We gave her an injection. She just needs to rest for a bit and this drip needs to finish. After that you can take her home." The unnone voice said and then I heard some shuffling and then a door closing.
I tried to focus on my surroundings, there was a continuous beeping sound that I could hear.
I tried to open my eyes and after a bit of trying, my eyes finally opened. Everything was blurry at first, then my eyes focused and everything was white, and there was Arsal sitting on my left holding my hand.
When my eyes focused on him he tiredly smiled at me and said with a heavy voice. "I'm sorry."
"Guys, come on downstairs, we're going out for dinner." It was Daniyal's voice that had yelled for them to come.
"C'mon before they come up here." Naina said and they made their way downstairs.

1 More Year Later..
"She's beautiful." Arsal whispered to Jiya as he sat besides her hospital bed in a chair, holding his new born little girl in his hands.
"I know." Jiya smiled caressing the baby's cheeks slowly.
"Have you thought about her name?" Arsal looked up at Jiya, his eyes twinkling with happiness.
Jiya nodded at him and said. "Zoya, Zoya Arsalan Ali." Arsal smiled at that and looked to his little girl and smiled.
"Zoya.... Baba's Zoya."
At that moment Jiya and Arsal both felt so complete that all the hurdles that they had had to face in the past four years till the wedding finally took place and even after that, didn't matter anymore because they were now completely happy and complete with their little baby girl.
Zoya Arsalan Ali would be their salvation.
