XXXVIII: Court of the Cosmos
The verdict for Netedinak's trial has been opened. A Lesser God: A God incapable of using cosmic power, but is more powerful than mortals. He has been summoned to the Cosmic Court out of allegations of broken rules established in the Cosmic Order. According to Ourdera, Universal God: A Primordial God with the power of the universe and beyond, she witnessed Netedinark breaking many laws. She is also among the Cosmic Order Enforcers in Ero.
Creating and Forcing Evolution. An inspiration revolution or Blessing is excusable; however, when a God forces evolution, it takes away the sentimentality of mortals. Their anatomy is their own right.
"As I observed during a battle between Ascended Mortals and Bracus, Netedinark said it himself that he created the Teketa to be replicas of him. His reason is to avoid another extinction event, which occurred during the Cosmic War."
Assaulting God and Mortal Civilizations: Disturbing the peace between a God and their people is extremely prohibited. Punishment is determined by severity. This rule prevents a war from getting out of hand.
"It all started when Netedinark became displeased of losing land to developing Mortal Civilizations and his civilization wanting to leave. Fights, massacres, and ambushes have occurred through millennia. I gave him several chances to stop and punished him before, yet he continued. He ambushed a territory ruled by Bracus multiple times. He obliterated the line once he harmed other Gods."
Cosmic God Bracus has confirmed this has occurred and other Gods: Lesser God Ablen and Universal God Forgision. Investigators scanned through Netedinark's memories to substantiate it.
Assaulted/Rape/Kidnapped/Murder Gods: An Ascended Mortal is a mortal gifted immortality from a Cosmic God or higher. The gift has been established out of respect from God, understanding that the mortals now follow the Cosmic Order. Their new ranks are determined by power. If a God lays their hands in a violent way, consequences will happen. This is one of the worst laws to break.
Ourdera has Ascended a coven after being astonished at their survival against the Lesser and Cosmic Gods after a coven member invited them in with a ritual, opening a connection from Ero to a Type III universe. Thus, granting them immortality and power. After observing their new abilities, their new ranks have been established.
Dominique Soto: [Ascended] Cosmic God. Dominique contains cosmic power. She was not ascended by one, but by two Gods. Universal Goddess Ourdera gave her cosmic power while Cosmic God Bracus gave her the ability to turn her into a Morphan, a Gaeriscelleh species.
Blathnaid O' Broin: [Ascended] Universal God. A universal power trace was found within her. She holds the power of the young universe (0). Cosmic Enforcement is observing her to prevent universe malfunction. Her gift powers involve opening portals (III).
Phil McKelsey: [Ascended] Lesser God by his control over lower entities (Type III). No universal and no cosmic power was found. He is much stronger with entities with pleasant intentions than malevolent. It is recommended for him to get stronger if he uses it more.
Markus Joe: [Ascended] Cosmic God. Ourdera informed that Markus already possessed powers over fire, lava, and darkness (II). His gift excelled his powers to white fire- The fire that can annihilate souls thrown into it (II). Cosmic power has been found. He is being furtherly observed due to his lack of practice in his new abilities and also his past.
Aelen Fvandeles: [Ascended] Lesser God. Universal and cosmic power is lacking. He was already not mortal prior to his ascension. He specialises in telekinesis, mind control, and slight manifesting magic abilities (III).
Naomi McKelsey: [Ascended] Universal God. She has universal power. She was already not mortal prior to ascension like her half-uncle, Markus Joe. Her former abilities of illusion, manifestation, elements, and time have been elevated (III). New powers such as electromagnetic current are present (I). Ourdera has witnessed Naomi collide two planets during a battle with Netedinark. When the Cosmic Order analyse her "black lightning," they found that it was not total darkness, but rather a glimpse of an old universe. It is the power of ageing the universe (0). Cosmic Enforcement is observing Naomi out of mental concerns and prevention of universe malfunction.
All of them are taught the Cosmic Order. Cosmic Enforcement observation is different from probation. Observation is watching from a distance and will only intervene while necessary. Probation is when a Cosmic Enforcement is on sight to avoid laws being broken and reporting repeated incidents.
The judge of this case is Iance, Cosmic God, who has been residing as a judge for over three million years. He discussed with witnesses and the Cosmic Jury over the trial.
"Netedinark is hereby guilty of breaking the three laws of the Cosmic Order."
Netedinark has been charged severely for the first one. He has to leave his civilization, Teketa, at once! Never to return!
"Even with good intentions of forced evolution, mortal civilization must grow in their own ways. Based upon analysis of Cosmic Enforcement, Teketa inherited Netedinark's manipulation to evolve to his own liking, not by inspiration. Lesser God Netedinark, you must abdicate your rulings of the Teketa and leave Verantuvia at once. Your other charges prohibited your return to Verantuvia."
Netedinark questions: "If my prosecutors left Verantuvia, am I allowed to return?"
"Absolutely not, history will never be erased. Common Ancestors will link your crimes back to you. If you return to Verantuvia, your banishment will become your execution. Is that clear, Lesser God Netedinark?"
"Yes, Judge Iance."
"Another ruler will take your place. It hasn't been decided; however, it will happen immediately once your ruling has been adjourned."
Netedinark has been charged with many failed attempts with a God Civilization. His killings for his massacre of Mortal Civilizations on Verantuvia have also been taken into account.
"You'll be confined in Isolation for 20,000 years and downgraded into an Advanced Mortal. Don't test the order, Lesser God Netedinark."
"I won't, Judge Iance. How long will it be until I am allowed to rule another civilization?"
"I am not finished."
"Fuc- Okay, Judge Iance."
"Wise that you covered your profanity, Lesser God Netedinark, otherwise, I will add contempt to your charge."
Netedinark is also charged with the highest degree for the third crime. The harm prior to ascension is not added to his charge, but acknowledged. The targets' experiences and impact statement has been read prior to sentencing.
Lesser God Aelen:
"I wasn't controlled like Ella, Rick, Phil, and Markus; he kidnapped me. He locked us in a poorly conditioned tower cell that reeked of vengeance. I watched my friends get taken away from me one by one, only for me to be next. Teketa made me weak, but that did not last long. Netedinark tormented me nearly to death, but I held on. Now I have returned and here to wish your fleeting luck for your future because you're going to need it.
Cosmic God Markus:
"The shield between you and I is your savior in this court. Earth's courthouses don't have this shield to protect criminals. You tried to manipulate me to kill those I have become close with; something that is already a struggle with me. Pleasure to say, I fought your control. I want to be in control and I want to stay in control. That's final. What you did to my niece is highly unforgivable and disdainful. You did something to her that I never wished on my worst enemy. I have experienced similar events in my past, but I never wanted anyone else I care for to go through it. Seeing Naomi in a broken state aches the very basis of my heart. She was always a strong woman long before your existence. She will get her strength back because she is a trooper. I am a survivor too. When, not if, you come out of confinement, you better stay years away from us. We don't want you in our future; we want you to be in our past."
Universal Goddess Blathnaid:
"Netedinark, you brushed off my advice as "simple words" during our last battle, feeling that a talk won't stop it. Now that you're here, forced to hear us out, you have to listen to my words. Messages around you may be hidden, but not impossible to see and comprehend. Verantuvia wanted you-"
"Lesser God Netedinark, is there something you wanted to say?"
"No, Judge Iance."
"We can see you mumbling."
"They sent a spy that manipulated and attacked my civilization, and she was a God! Why aren't they under the same charge?"
Universal God Ourdera steps in, "The level of your misdeeds aren't to be dealt with friendliness, Netedinark. You've done this way too long, including the harm of Jersome and Titane. Teketa is affected as well. You've been warned to stop. Of course, your crimes will not be taken so lightly. Now don't disrespect Blathnaid. Your contempt is proving to us that you're not worthy of another civilization. One more time, I may have to resort to physical measures."
"Thank you, Universal Goddess Ourdera... Universal Goddess Blathnaid, you may resume."
Universal Goddess Blathnaid resumes, "Okay... You made the situation far worse than you can ever imagine. Teketa's home has been destroyed and your tyranny is over, Netedinark. It doesn't mean all is lost. What I've learned from Earth means a new chapter, a new beginning. Your people are still alive and they will see a new Lord. Whoever becomes the new ruler, I will help them. They will make Teketa stronger than ever. They'll succeed at what you failed to reach.
Universal Goddess Naomi:
"Netedinark, I did listen to your story of Uedie, the civilization before Teketa. It was a beautiful world, not saying Teketa is the opposite. You've noticed the fall of your empire and Uedians betraying you, but in another pair of eyes, I saw another vision. It was the same God that destroyed your planet, manipulated your people to go against you. Something you never saw. If you did see it, you probably wouldn't be so focused on your reputation as the one and only great lord. You've become a doppelganger of what you once were. You wanted Teketa to live, but you manipulated their evolution and attacked others. I don't consider them as your friends anymore. Bracus, your companion since the Cosmic War, was hurt by YOU. You became his enemy.
I am afraid of the dark because of you. I can still feel you paralyzing me and the scenario repeating it every day. It's hard to sleep at night. I also empathize with the Teketa and how they felt as you killed them as they rebelled. I did lead those strikes and was even more shocked on how you reacted. Their deaths harm me and will always be with me. I wanted to help them and I feel I failed them, but now, they're going to be free. I will make sure of that.
I may have come from a 'godless' universe, so to speak, but better than the ungodly. I can create and rebuild my spirit by myself and with loving support. I don't want to be pitied as a victim or titled as a hero, but as someone who survived a tragedy, a crime, and a war all at once. We are here to destroy your regime and rewrite it. "
Netedinark's crime adds up to his isolation.
"120,000 years have been added to your Isolation. For the first time, we will go beyond the Maximum Sentence; you will be expelled from Ero upon release as an Advanced Mortal. You will never return. You will be executed if you do so. Better hope the other universe doesn't have a Cosmic Order in place, or maybe so, because an Anarchy Faction universe will show your no mercy too."
"Yes, Judge Iance..."
Netedinark is sentenced up to 140,000 years in Isolation.
Before his confinement, Netedinark announces his abdication of the throne to Teketa. The discussion of the new Lord is now underway.
Verdict Closed.
