Part 4: Naomi
Dominique
Bracus and I roam the dark hallways, navigating to find Naomi's location. The last time the gem located her was at her father's cell before she was knocked offline. We searched everywhere in the classified section and broke into rooms to find her. Bracus and I beat the Teketa that try to attack us. She's not been found.
"She's not in this section," I distress.
Bracus pulls up the blue gem from his forehead, scanning through Naomi's memories.
"Can she be at the palace's auditorium?" I ask, "Her memories show public torture there."
The savages in this place.
"We can try."
We begin to rush around, killing guards that come in our way. Bracus and I are unstoppable.
I sigh. "I wish that Netedinark will get publicly tortured for this," I growl.
"I agree," he replies. His voice turns harsh, "That will be Ourdera's job because she beat him up once."
"Blathnaid might do the honors next," I add in.
He shrugs. "Maybe."
We head into the Warzai room. Ugh, a very large school auditorium, but with darker colors. I think it suits it more because school sucks in general. Thanks to mama and papa, I went to a decent school to actually learn something. Occasionally, students do act out and it was pretty interesting to watch. I did pull through, started off with a low life, but I worked to get to England. I got a degree there and created Tlitz, a media for posting videos, images, and thoughts. It's still in the growing stages and I am the only one working on it. I need someone to help me out. I can probably use the technology to upgrade Tlitz, so I can edit it here.
"This place is empty," I say with despair, growing ever frustrated. I want to stomp the ground and rip this palace apart to find Naomi.
"Could she be at the prison?" He asks.
"I don't know," I answer honestly, "Didn't she mess it up a not a while back?"
"Only the deeper sections." He sighs. "I told her to hang low, not come in and screw up the place."
"Can't blame her. She busted her butt in here. She played two sides in two territories. One she is an enemy in, a contender in another," I defend her flatly. I scan through her memories again. The restricted hallways? Nowhere. Warzai? No. I got a feeling that she isn't in prison.
"Time is waning, Dominique," he says impatiently.
"I'm hurrying too, Bracus," I reply.
"Do you remember her scent?" I ask him.
"I do," he nods, "Electrical hellhound," He sniffs the air. His head darts north, south, east, and west. Due west, he stops and whiffs the air again.
"I smell her," he states, "This way." He leads me. We take out multiple guards. It feels great to have inhuman- brute strength. We can tear limbs off as if we have sword claws upon our fingers. We leave nothing, but a trail of blood in our way.
We reach the science corridor. The palace is not as dark as it seems; my sight illuminates it tenfold, making it much easier to see. A normie would go blind if they stayed here. We stop when we see a bunch of Revetas guarding the vault, clutching their large weapons, ready to attack.
"You're not allowed to enter the Lord's chamber, outsiders!" They yell at us.
"Ah Revetas," Bracus mumbles, "Stay behind me."
Ominous hums radiate from Bracus. He walks towards them as they charge at us. Wings sprawl out of his back, and the color of the Milky Way dances around his wings. He doesn't look like a human-wolf. He looks like the same man that threw rocks at my window months ago.
"I will rip your fairy wings right off your back," a Reveta sneers. They sound like a reaper talking, raspy and speaking behind the skull. They do have a skull, but it's covered by a dark veil.
A loud mighty explosion can be heard as cosmic energy from Bracus. It almost makes me jump. It is a sound that a Fai makes when casting a spell. The louder, the stronger it is. The Revetas don't even get a chance before their body perishes in ashes. Another sharp explosion is heard from Bracus and it busts the vault door open. We charge in there.
There she is. Her eyes are bulging wide open and bloodshot. She is whimpering. Her fantastical white body is strapped onto the table. The restraints appear to be made out of dark branches with thorns; they pierce her skin open. Her lower stomach bulged like a woman within three months of pregnancy. Netedinark is injecting something in her veins from his branches. His head snaps towards us, filled with rage at us intruding.
I clench my fists as my senses go barbaric. My head turns into a red static with thousands upon thousands of tiny dots bouncing around at high speeds. "You sick bastard!" I boom as I launch towards him. My wolf senses switch into high gear as I morph into a Morphan. I am the same size as Bracus when he transforms into a complete Morphan. My fur is twilight purple with eclipse colour eyes. A stare at an ecliptic star will blind you, but a stare into an ecliptic wolf's eyes will paralyze you.
I charge at him so fast that he doesn't have time to use his splintering tendrils to hit me. I tackle him. Metal clanging sounds behind me as the metal table, which Naomi is on, timbers sideways. I sink my teeth into him. His blood tastes like a leaf and his skin is crunchy like breadsticks. His blood inside my mouth fuels my undeniable disgust with him like propane gas to a fire. I bite into his skin several times, restraining his hands with my big paws.
"How dare you!" I scowl while giving him the deadliest evil eyes I can make.
His tendrils decide to wake up. They sharpen to the paint and jab into my sides. I don't feel anything at first. The deeper he went, the pain burst like a water balloon. More tendrils stab onto me as he pegs me against the wall. I go back into my mortal form. The pain will kill me, but it will be gone in a minute. Bracus has got Naomi in his arms. He looks at me. Netedinark gets back up. A void surrounds us before going back to the room again and again.
"Take Nao! Take her to someone safe!" He urges me, "I will hold him off."
He hands her to me.
We found Naomi, and returned back to the castle asap! I sound telepathically to Aelen, Ivelisse, and Markus, We will handle them.
"Take care, my love," I said to Bracus before I teleported back to the castle in a flash. I didn't know I could do that. I went into the urgent care corridor. A place Bracus told me to go if there's little time to spare to heal my wounds. No other patients will be there, just doctors and nurses. I rush over there, carrying Naomi in my arms. Thank God, she is lightweight.
A brown elfan with glowing orange eyes rushes to me. It's what nurses and doctors wear, but in elf style.
"What's wrong, my liege?" He asks me while taking Naomi off of me.
"Scan her!" I command. There's no way in absolute hell I am going to let Naomi suffer through this, "I want to know what he put inside her!"
He sets her on a medical bed. Naomi let's a very loud groan. That damn Netedinark bastard paralysed her and kept her awake for the whole thing.
The elfan uses his magic to scan her autonomy. Netedinark stuffed not one, not two, but three beings. Two of them are the size of three-month-old fetuses, but as Queenetas. I guess he created them in his hidden lab or they are just created and grow at an accelerated rate. The other inside Naomi is a zygote, not necessarily a fetus, barely a few minutes old, but I have a deep burden feeling that it's growing to be a hybrid, possibly Naomi's kind and Netedinark himself. I don't know how long that is going to last in her system. Figuring this out makes my blood curdle and my teeth sharpen to extreme lengths.
He implanted her! I snarl in Bracus's mind, Two Queenetas and a possible hybrid.
Teketa's fetuses fully grow in one to two months. Based upon how big her stomach was, she is a couple of weeks in. For concerns about her safety, remove them completely.
I agree.
"Nao, we will remove them from you. Groan for me if you say yes," I tell her. She groans not long after.
"I have to cut her open," he tells me.
I nod. I look back at Naomi. "Put her to sleep first," I order.
I assist in hooking up the monitors onto Naomi. The elfan doctor uses magic to put Naomi to sleep. He summons up more doctors to help him. I stand at the door, guarding Naomi's operation as if my life depended on it. I highly doubt a Teketa will burst into the scene to stop me, but there is Netedinark, a powerful monster. I pray that Bracus will distract him enough until the process is over. I don't want him to be Naomi in this very difficult time. No one bugged me for a passing hour until a Lapis Lazuli Fai came to me.
"My liege, a man is not settling down in the correctional wing here," a lady Fai tells me.
"Who?" I ask, folding my arms.
"He demands where Naomi is at."
Father McKelsey. I know it's a matter of time until he begs to see his daughter. "Take me to him at once."
She leads me to him in the correctional wing. It's quiet, but the disturbance is Naomi's dad yelling at the nurses and doctors. The nurses look at me in relief. Her father looks at me, ready to demand the same question. Markus is standing in the corner, stressed as hell. His body is tense.
"Naomi is here," I answered before he could say anything.
He amps up. "Take me to her."
"I can't," I deny.
"Why not?" He raises his voice. Zeus is here and he is angry.
"She's in the operating room," I inform.
"What has happened to her?" Markus asks.
I sigh heavily. "Netedinark did something immoral to her."
"What did he do?" Markus' voice goes raspy. His demanding voice is more heartstopping than her dad's voice. I curl my lips. How am I going to say this?
"What did he do to my daughter?!"
"He r-" I hate that word, "U-used her as an in-incubator." The words are hard to see like fear blocking the tongue to say. The words I never thought I would have to use. Markus' looks turn deadly. He is about to kill someone. I can hear a slight sizzling from him. Naomi's father's face turns pale. He bolts up. "Take me to Naomi!" He orders me.
"Sir, she's in surgery. She's getting them removed," I said to him.
"Them?" Markus's voice volcanically spits.
"Can I just see her?" He begins to shake.
"No?"
"Why, not?!"
"Sir, sit down," I calmly order, "You're not well either."
" My only child has been molested, you think I should be well?!" He snaps.
"That's not what I meant," I argue.
"What do you mean by then?"
"You've been under Netedinark's control!"
"So?! I am fine now!"
"I don't know if Markus has told you this, but you've been under his control for three months. So did Ella. So did Rick."
"So did Ivelisse and where is she now?"
"He possessed her," I said to him plainly, "She's okay now."
"I am also okay."
"That's different," I said, feeling my patience wearing thin as from a rock to an ice sheet.
"How is that different?!"
"It's because Netedinark's power is still in you!" I raise my tone, "We need to check if it's gone because if it's not, it can come back and make you kill everyone, including your family. So please, Father McKelsey, let those doctors help you. Don't make it difficult. As soon as you get treated and better, you can see your daughter, Naomi."
He goes in silence, realizing what is up with him.
I glance at the doctors, "Sedate him if you have to," I notify them before walking out of the room.
