Kingdom Overview

South is place where summer never ends, people are generally darker skinned and wearing the most expensive dresses as this is the richest kingdom of them all (although it isn't really a kingdom any longer). The climate is not good for farming so people live from trading and sailing. It is home to pirates on the other side and endless deserts everywhere else. The towns are located in oases across deserts.

Spices are the most common trading ingredient along with silk, gold and other luxuries. They also grow exotic plants such as cacti and coconuts and their liquors are priced in all parts of the Continent.

Despite such riches, many people are still hungry and turn to crime to fill their bellies. There are huge differences between the rich and the poor. Many have given up faight and started following blood cults perdorming witchery instead of God of Light.

Religion

Men in the south believe world was created from fountain of gold, born in flames and light under guideance of the Creator who has given the command to the Lord of Light. They believe all other Gods exist but God of light is only good and pure god. Others are just weaklings.

Light is born from fire and shadows are servants of light. And the brighter the light, the darker they are.

The Champion of Light shall guide the path through the darkest nights. They shall be torch and flaming sword giving safety to their men when times are dark and punishing those who choose darkness instead of light.

Army

Towns are hard to conquer because of hot climate and huge deserts surrounding it. Then again, they rarely fight and try to rely on diplomacy if possible. Their army conisists of mercenaries who fight only for money not the South itself and that's why they are less likely to risk their lives and army is less disciplined.

Their strongest warriors are calvary, riding horses who have been living in the south for many years and grew used to the overwhelming heat.

Government

Now this is where fun begins, you see this isn't your ordinary kingdom ruled by a king but instead is ruled by Council of Blessed 30 located in Capitol of South - Azil K'haar. Thirty men and women are chosen and marked with holy oils, purified from darkness to serve their people as guideance in the dark times. There, they take one of two sides in the council; the Dragon or the Priestess.

Head of Dragon side keeps sigil with Dragon's head and head of Priestess side keeps sigil with figure of the Priestess. Dragon's side are the conservative ones in the country while Priestess' side is where the liberals are. There is always the same number of people on Dragon's side and on Priestess' side and they all serve the same God, God of light but in form of a different being. Some say dragons are true lightbringers and others say humans are those who carry power of gods through prayers and rituals.

● They currently hold only what their money can buy which is a lot considering they are the richest family of all four kingdoms. Despite the riches, they can't buy the crown  of the South.

● Once upon a time, before the  Council ruled their region, they were the royal family. It was stripped away from them after a rebellion against the king who, no lies, was a fool not fit for ruling the country. So that country never again suffers such losses, crown was melted and there were 30 badges made out of it, one for each of the Blessed. This family wants one thing - their crown to be back and full control over the kingdom to be in their hands.
