Prince Aithlin has been in the hospital wing of the human castle for a while now, but Prince Rhys is growing restless. He can't sleep one night, so he decides to go to the Dark Forest just outside the human kingdom and find something to help them both. What he finds instead, is a vengeful god of darkness and shadows named Mortdeus.

Little does he know, that he will be trapped in his own mind, in a dream world where no one knows who he is, with Mortdeus convincingly taking his place in the real world.
