Prologue

I was humming to the tune of one of my favorite 90s boyband top hits when I heard a loud crash from behind our car. The impact was so great that all I can remember were the shrieks of my parents as our car swerved in the nearly empty roads along Katipunan at the wee hours of the night and crashed right into a tall post which splitted the car's bumper into half.

My head shook and Mom was wailing for help when we met the unfortunate incident. Dad was critically injured as he was on the driver's seat and Mom was stuck in her place.

I was helding on to my dear life when I gripped tightly both Mom's and Dad's headrest in an attempt to remain on my seat. But to no avail.

As our car swerved and turned to a 360° before we reached the post, I was sent flying to the other side of the road. Shards of mirror were sent flying towards my face as I landed on the hard and cold ground. Indeed, it was gruesome and beyond imposibble as I thought I wouldn't wake up.

I sighed as I recalled that unfateful evening of our lives. Obviously, somebody intentionally did it and that certain person knows about our whereabouts the entire day.

Being a daughter of a politician and a doctor, it's already possible to speculate about those things.
The other party was busy ruining their rival's lives that they didn't decide to come off clean with their tactics. Their desperation to win was more important than anything else.

It was exactly two years ago when that accident happened and in those years, being inside a car traumatized me. I was on a coma for almost a year. It then resulted to an amnesia. According to my doctor and therapist, what I had was called retrograde amnesia that I can only remember the recent events that happened and not the earlier events of my life. Also, as per them, my memories will come back soon too.

I was just hoping that they didn't. Because the time that I began remembering things, that was also the day which I regretted having to have met him.

It was the day when I saw his name on our class list when our class sections were posted at the school lobby.

He's back and so were my memories.
