"Mr. Yeager this is not how I wanted us to meet ok? My name is Shane and I'm a completely-"

"And I'm not talking to you, drive the car!" Cade snapped at Shane, cutting him off mid-way through his sentence.

"Shane watch out!" Tessa shouted as two SUV cop cars nearly cut him off. Shane made the quick decision to cut off a truck that held bails of hay.

Shane grunts as he did the sharp turn and pressed hard on the gas, roaring down the ally way.

As he drove the other agents began to fire at you, hitting the walls, and hitting the sides of the car. Shane pressed on the gas, quickly speeding out of the ally way, doing a sharp swerve getting back on the road.

"I don't know how I'm driving this good, it's like today I'm at a whole other level." Shane babbled out as he pressed on the gas.

"Road, focus! Stop talking!" Cade snapped at him as you clenched your jaw. Jesus Christ, I think I'm going to be sick! "Shane look out!" Tessa cried out as another SUV drove towards him.

He swerved again; making a sharp turn causing you to smack your head off the frame of the car. "Damn it!" You cussed out as he drove down another ally way, crashing into a few garbage cans.

"Ok this is primarily my fault ok? They said they were gonna bring in a cheque I didn't know they'd bring in a death squad!" Lucas shouted out as Shane cuts onto another road.

"HOW COULD YOU?! OPTIMUS NEEDED US! WHAT DID HE EVER DO TO YOU?!" You yelled at him as your blood began to boil. How could he do such a thing?! Because of him we could all die!

Shane swerved between cars on the highway, many honking and swerved out of his way.

Just then, two black SUV's blocked his way, causing Tessa's boyfriend to make another sharp turn, stopping at a store front.

"Hang on!" He shouted as he pressed on the gas and drove right through the front windows, thankfully everyone dodged out of the way as he drove on through. He drives through right front the back.

"We lost them, great job stranger from the corn field." Lucas praised as he leaned over and patted Shane's shoulder.

Just above you, both Optimus and Lockdown were climbing up on the abandoned buildings, fighting each other.

As Shane swerved again, Lucas looked over as the familiar loud growling engines were heard once again. "The scary cars are back." Lucas said as the black cars were speeding right behind Shane.

"Lose them at the factory, Shane." Tessa said as he swerved into the factory, speeding through the lane way and through another opening as they tried to cut him off again.

"I thought you knew how to drive this thing, go!" Cade yelled as Shane drove into a small fence.

"I don't think we're gonna get that money. Doesn't seem like it." Lucas said as you shot him a glare. You got to be fucking kidding me!

"Who cares about the money! If it wasn't for you these guys wouldn't be out here trying to kill us!" You screamed out as you aggressively punched his arm. "Ow! Cade!" Lucas cried out as Cade turned around to glare at him.

"Don't come crying to me! You're the one who snitched on her alien boyfriend!" Cade spat as you clenched your jaw and punched Lucas again.

"Go Shane!" Tessa shouted as you could hear your Sparkmate from above you, running on the rooftops of the factory.

"Cade! (Y/n)!" Optimus cried out as Shane was driving between the large metal racks.

Your eyes widened as the two SUV's that were just inches away from taking you out were taken down by Optimus.

"Take them upstairs!" Tessa cried out as Shane drove into the entrance of the parking lot and sped up the levels.

"We'll lose them on the fifth floor!" Shane shouted as he swerved up and around the sharp corners.

He speeds on into the fifth floor. Two black cars were on both sides of you. The white pillars in between you and the enemy kept them from trying to crash into you.

"Do that thing Shane." Tessa declared to her boyfriend as you looked at him. You already had a bad feeling about  this for sure. "What do you mean?! What thing?!" Cade yelled out as you had noticed the black SUV's and black cars had taken out their guns.

"What we are about to do is kinda scary.." He declared as he shift gears pressing harder on gas.

"Just do it! They're gonna milk us!" You yelled out as they began to fire at you. The bullets had hit the pillars causing peices of stone and bullet fragments hitting the car.

"Grab my stick! Grab my stick!" Shane shouted as Cade's eyes grew wide with shock. You were to distracted by trying to take cover by the hail of bullets that you didn't even hear what that boy was yelling about.

Tessa quickly leaned over, grabbing the shift stick. "She's got the best hands in the business. Ready Tess...PULL!" Shane cried out to Tessa as she pulled right on cue as Shane makes another sharp turn.

Your eyes widened as he drives right to the ramp that was sticking just outside of the ledge. "NO! NO! NO!" Cade screamed out as you clung onto your seat.

"No fucking way!" Lucas screamed as Shane pressed on the gas and his car went flying off the ramp. It felt like only seconds as the car lands back down on the ground. As for the other car, it crashed down and bursted into flames.

"TESSA YOU ARE SO GROUNDED!" Cade snapped as Shane swerved around.

"Shit! The rim is cracked!" He cried out as he pulled over to the side just as the car choked out.

You looked over to hear Optimus as he blared his horn. "Optimus!" Cade and you yelled out at the same time. Relief washed over you as you see your Sparkmate still in one piece. Oh thank Primus...

"Come on! Move, move, move!" Cade rambled out as he ushered his daughter, Shane and Lucas out of the car.

"Come on!" You cried out as you take the lead. "Guys wait! My foot's stuck!" He cried out as he struggled to get his foot free from the blue seat belt.

"Lucas!" Tessa shouted as the four of you waited for him as he started to run towards you. "Wait! Wait!" He shouted out as suddenly Lockdown was up above you five with his face visor sheathed over his faceplate.

"LUCAS! LUCAS ABOVE YOU!" Cade shouted as Lockdown threw down one of his grenades. "RUN!" Cade shouted as he pushed you forward.

You ran ahead as the loud explosions and blasts blast from both sides of you, destroying the gravel like lava.

The four of you make it to Optimus's alt mode but Lucas wasn't behind you. As you and Cade are the last ones to get in; Cade stops at the door and sees Lucas.

All four of you see him burned to a crisp. You covered your mouth with a hand as you felt sick to your stomach.

Clumps of black ash and small sparks of fire dropped on the now black ash covered ground.

"Come on let's go!" Shane shouted as Cade got in and Prime sped out of the factory. You felt horrible. Yes Lucas has called in and ratted you and Optimus out but he didn't deserve to die. Not like this...

As Optimus drove down the road; there was only silence among you all. Tessa was in tears as Shane tried to calm her down.

Cade glued his gaze on the crack circle review mirror of Optimus's alt mode as Your eyes were glued to your shaking hands on your lap.

"Lucas, we just left him?" She barely managed out as Cade met her teary gaze before looking away.

"He's gone.." He barely replied back as you chose to stay silent, shaking your head sadly as tears weld in your eyes.

Shortly after the long drive, the sun was setting and Optimus had pulled into a old gas station. Cade opened his door and got out of his altmode and the rest of the team followed.

Optimus cut off his engine and transformed into his bi-pedal mode, just as he did he smashed his servo into the gravel.

"My deepest sympathies for the loss of your friend, stay here till I'm sure we were not followed." He informed as you stepped forward, "I'm coming with you." You informed as he turned to look at you.

"(Y/n)..."

"Please?" You begged as he lowered his gaze for a moment before he nodded. "You there stay here." You said as Optimus sighed, "we are all targets now.." Optimus added on softly as he transformed into his alt more, opening the driver's side door for you and you got in.

Without another word, he reversed from the gravel lot of the abandoned gas station and drove off, leaving a cloud of dust behind him.

~Cade's POV~

"So we're hiding out now? That's the plan, we're gonna take orders from a truck?" Shane asked as I turned to look him only see his arm wrapped around Tessa.

"Hey, move away from her, kid. Don't..keep you hands off her. All right? No." I spat out, getting inbetween them and brought Tessa into the abandoned gas station.

"Well on the bright side at least you guys met." Tessa said breaking the silence once where had gotten settled in. "Where's he's from?" I asked, glaring over at Tessa.

"I told you he's a driver from Texas." She replied as she continued to plug and unplug the lights.

"Texas? Where, Dublin, Texas? Shamrock, Texas? So why does he sound like a leprechaun?" I asked, "you'd get your ass kicked in Ireland just for saying that."

"Well we're not in Ireland, Lucky Charms, we're in Texas." I turned to Tessa, "so he drives, what do you mean he drives? Like for a living?"

"Yeah, at least he makes a living."

"Thank you." I grumbled out.

"I race rally cars. One driver and one navigator. Her. By the way I'm totally legit. I just got picked up by RedBull." He exclaimed as he takes out a can of RedBull.

"And just so you know, my life savings was in that car back there."

"This is not happening."

"Oh it definitely is." Shane replied as I looked at him and then at Tessa. Who does this guy think he is?

"How old are you?" I spat as I clenched my hand into fists.

"I'm twenty."

"She's a seventeen-year-old girl, so we can work this two ways. One I punch you right in the mouth and you call the police on me." I spat, my I blood boiling.

"Dad."

"Or two I just all the cops on you cause this is illegal, she's a minor." I spat, glaring daggers at Shane.

"We're protected by the Romeo and Juliet laws."

"We dated for a little while. I was a sophomore and he was senior, it's fine." Tessa exclaimed as I turned towards her.

"No it's not fine!"

"We've got a preexisting juvenile foundational relationship, statute 2705.3."

"What?" I asked as he pulled out the white laminated card. "Texas statute?" I read off the card as I read it over.

"Romeo and Juliet huh? You know how those two ended up?"

"In love." Tessa replied as I clenched my jaw, not breaking my gaze with Shane.

"Dead."

"Do your parents know about this? Is your dad ok with you dating a 17 year old girl?"

"He took off when I was five, but if I bump into him I'll ask him."

I clenched my jaw and stormed over to Tessa. "You know what Tessa, I trusted you."

"To what? Never have fun, take a risk? Be a normal teenager, like you?"

"I am your father ok, and I have been busting my ass to take care of you!"

"Is that what you were doing when you brought home the truck? All you had to do was report it and now Lucas is dead, and my life is over," she replied angrily as she hopped off the counter, "thank you. You have taken good care of me."

~(Y/n) POV~

There was only silence between you and Optimus. The only sound that was heard was the scratchy rumbling of the engine of his alt mode.

"Are you doing okay?" You asked softly as you gently rubbed your hand over his dash.

"I'm alright, (Y/n)." He replied softly as you worked down a swallow and peered out the window to see the night sky completely lit up with stars.

"It's beautiful out here..." you whispered out as your gaze kept fixated on the sky. "Yes, it is quite peaceful out here." He replied as you turned back to him, watching him control the wheel of his alt mode.

"How about we take a break? Just maybe pull over?" You suggested as he didn't reply for a while as the silence dragged on between you two once more.

"Optimus...you've been through a lot today...it's best to take a break." You pressed on as his engine shuddered for a moment before he finally replied, "if that is what you want, I'll allow it."

You forced a smile as he pulled off the road, driving through the sand as he pulled up between the large red like coloured rocks.

Moments later he cuts off his engine and opens the passenger side door for you to get out. You sighed, closing the door once again. "Don't you want to see the stars?" He asked as you nodded, "yes, but...I wanted to take this time and talk to you."

"About what?" He asked as you sighed, rested your hands on your lap. "Are you able to...to activate you're hologram?" You asked and he didn't reply to you at that exact moment.

Your heart was hammering against your chest now. You were starting to worry more and more. What if he doesn't love me anymore? What if he... you forced yourself to stop thinking of such things and tried to focus back on Prime and your relationship with him.

Before you could say another word you were stopped as Optimus activated his hologram. There were a few glitches while doing so but shortly after he had his hologram completed.

Your eyes dimmed at his appearance. Just like his bipedal mode he had severe damage. His (light/dark) (s/c) skin was almost pale and covered in scrapes, bruises and cuts. His (h/l) (h/c) was messy. Dirt and stains of ash covered his (h/c) locks.

He looked weak, tired and overall broken. His (dark/light) (e/c) eyes dimmed; filled with anger, sorrow, sadness and most of all defeat. Every emotion was swimming in his beautiful orbs that felt like a punch to the stomach for you to have witnessed.

His clothes of his hologram were also not in great shape. It was stained with ash, dirt and had many tears in the fabric. The sight was horrible and it made you want to cry. You felt horrible for even asking him to show you his hologram.

"Optimus I..."

"It's alright (Y/n), I'm fine." He ensured as he finally looked at you. Tears weld in your (e/c) eyes as you quickly dropped your gaze.

"No your not fine...look at you. You're hurt." You forced out as your lower lip trembled. "I'll repair myself over time. Don't worry." He ensured as he rested a hand on your tear stained cheek.

"How can I not worry? It's my fault your even in this position." You cried out as you burst into tears. You hated the fact you had shown this side of you to Optimus. Hell you were even more upset because now he has to fret over you and not you looking after him.

"God, here I am crying while I should be taking care of you, and trying to-to fix whatever is left b-between us." You said in between sobs as he pulled you into a strong embrace.

"It's okay (Y/n), you have every right to be emotional. It's been a long day." He soothed as you sniffled into his torn shirt. Once you managed to control your sobs you pulled away from him.

"I'm sorry I just..." You dropped your gaze for a moment, "I want to be able to help you. Make you feel better and here I am crying over bullshit." You grumbled out as Optimus smiled softly, resting a hand on your cheek.

"Just being with you makes me feel better." He replied softly as he pulled you towards him again. His thumbs caressing your cheeks as you rested your hands over his.

"So...so you still love me then?" You asked as you looked up at him. His eyes widened for a moment. He was shocked that you'd ever think of such a thing.

He could never ever bring himself to even think about a life without you. His eyes softened as he smiled once more, "that will never change (Y/n), no matter how many years we were apart. My spark only belongs to you." He replied softly as tears weld in your eyes once more as his lips met your; kissing you softly.

Your heart hammered against your chest his lips moulded against yours; filling your heart with utter joy and the butterflies formed at the pit of your stomach again; a feeling you had missed so much.

You didn't know how long you two have been kissing but by the time you and Prime broke apart you were both breathless and quite flustered at that.

"I love you." You said softly as he smiled once more, caressing your cheek with his hand, "I love you too (Y/n)."

~The next morning~

You wake up to the sound of Optimus's engine of his alt-mode. You yawned, sitting up from the old and rundown black leather seats of his interior and stretched.

"Good morning, Love." Optimus said softly as you smiled; feeling the warm morning sunlight hit your face.

"Good morn-oh my god! Cade!" You rambled out as Optimus chuckled, his hologram activating once more.

"Don't worry (Y/n), I hadn't forgotten about your friends. We are on the way to get them now." He informed as you gently left a soft kiss on your forehead.

"I didn't want to wake you either...you looked so relaxed...and beautiful as always." He added on as your cheeks flushed a little at the compliment but kissed his cheek in reply.

"How are you feeling?" You asked as you examined him; noticing the bruises had begun to fade including the scrapes and cuts on his skin.

"I'm feeling better. I needed a good rest." He informed as you nodded, "good, I'm glad your feeling better cause I don't know what I'd do if I lost you." You barely managed out as he sighed, cupping your face in his hands.

"Nothing will happen to me (Y/n), you will not lose me again and I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe...even if I had failed you the first time."

"You didn't fail me Optimus...we weren't prepared for the ambush. It's not your fault." You ensured softly as he dropped his gaze, "so many lives were lost that day..." he forced out as tears weld in your eyes.

"I know...and they're in a better place now...and even if they are gone...it doesn't mean they'll ever be forgotten." You pressed on as you rested a hand on his cheek.

"Don't even doubt yourself Optimus. Their deaths are not your fault."

"But it could've been prevented..." He mumbled out. Your eyes dimmed as you saw the pain and anger form in his eyes. You hated seeing him so down like this.

"Sweetheart look at me." You soothed as you tilted his face up so his (light/dark) (e/c) orbs burned into your (e/c) ones.

"You have to faith Prime. Have faith in yourself. Believe in yourself. You are an amazing leader. Yes there were many blockades along the way but we pushed through. We did the best that we could...but...you can't give up Optimus." You said softly as you kissed his forehead.

"There are people out there who need you...and I know there are Bots out their waiting for us. I know there is." You added on as he stroked your cheek with a thumb.

"I love you (Y/n), and thank you."

"That's what Sparkmates are for Blue." You replied, kissing his lips softly; "I love you too...always have, always will."

~Back at the gas station~

Once Optimus pulled up to the gas station Cade, Tessa and Shane were all waiting outside.

"Come on guys!" You called out as they grabbed the few boxes that had collected with tech and other items they had gathered in the gas station.

You helped loading Cade's collected items into Optimus's alt-mode and the rest of the team filed themselves inside.

"We're all set Optimus." You said softly as you gently rubbed his steering wheel while settling yourself on his driver's seat of his interior.

Seconds later he started up his engine and pulled out of the gas station leaving a cloud of dust behind him.

Sorry for the long wait to update, I've been working on other books in my drafts and well; my mental health has been declining and deciding to fuck with me most days so I apologize for my absence.
