Chapter 2

{Sabrina's Point Of View}

I groan when I feel the pillow hit my face.

"Get yo lazy ass up," Sarah laughs.

"Ughhh, Noo! Cant I just lay here and dream about her some more," I mumble.

"Nope, what if she goes to the diner to see you, and you miss her because you aren't there," Sarah says.

"The chances of her being there, are slim to none," I pout.

"Slim means there is still a chance though", Sarah smirks and pulls me out of bed.

"Now get dressed! Hurry up, or I will leave you", she giggles while walking out my room.

I walk into my bathroom and turn on the shower, brushing my teeth while the water heats up.

After my shower, I put on jeans, a white t-shirt, and a leather jacket on top.

I grab my phone and jog down the steps before giving my mother a kiss on her forehead. I walk outside and hop into Sarah's car.

My mind drifts somehow back to Y/n and the first time we met. She looked so nervous when she gave me those pink roses. I smile and look down at the symbol on my ring finger.

Mine. She's mine, and nobody else's. I'm broke out of my thoughts when Sarah gets out of the car.

"Another day," I mumble as I step out as well.

I walk into the back and clock in and put on my apron, picking up my notebook and pen.

I man with dark hair walks in and sits down so I walk over to him with a smile.

"Good Morning Sir! Thank you for choosing Eddie's, my name is Sabrina, how may I serve you today", I ask warmly.

"Well Sabrina, A simple black coffee would be lovely," he smiles back.

I will be right back with that, I say before walking behind the counter and grabbing a cup and the fresh pot of joe. I place the cup in front of the customer and pour the coffee. Ge thanks me and I put the extra coffee back.

"Excuse me miss," the same guy calls me over.

"How can I help you", I smile.

"Why don't we get outta here", he smirks.

I furrow my eyebrows.

"Excuse me", I ask confused.

"You're really hot, and if I'm being honest, I can't stop thinking about banging you so hard," he says while grabbing my arm.

My mouth drops in disgust and I snatch my arm away.

I can't find words to say so I just walk away, on the brink of crying.

"Sar, I'm going to the bathroom really quick, I tell her," my voice shaky.

I walk into the bathroom and let my back hit the wall, I slide down and curl into a ball. I let my tears flow freely until I'm full on sobbing.

{Your Point Of View}

Its been a week since I have heard anything from David's company. I have been calling every day and hear the same things over and over. I decided to take matters into my own hands and booked a flight to California. So here I am, waiting for my uber to take me to see David.

When I get there my eyes wander the establishment in awe. This place is huge. I walk over to the reception desk and smile at the nice lady.

"I have a meeting with David Carpenter," I say.

I have no meeting with him, but I doubt I would see him without one.

"Ms. Letterman", she asks.

"Yes, that is me," I say nervously.

Thankfully she didn't notice.

"He should be in his office, first door on the left," she smiles.

I walk to the door and wipe my sweaty palms on the fabric of my pants and knock on the door.

"Come in", he says.

I open the door and walk in with a smile.

"Lovely to meet you Ms.Letterman! I have been looking forward to meeting with you for a very long time", he says as he shakes my hand.

I sit in front of his desk and he sits behind it.

"So, here is the thing sir, you are a very busy man! It's almost impossible to reach you", I say.

"I would imagine so", he chuckles.

"Does this symbol mean anything to you", I ask as I show him the rose on my finger.

He examines it and sits back in his chair.

"You're not Ms. Letterman are you", he asks.

"No, I'm not", I answer.

"My youngest daughter, You're her other", he asks.

"Yes, Yes I am. I want to find her, I need to," I say.

"I can only help you but so much", he sighs.

"Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated", I say honestly.

"Only one of my daughters lives with me, the other 3 live in Pennsylvania", he says.

"3, so you have four daughters," I ask.

"Yes, Cayla, Sarah, Shannon, and Sabrina", he answers.

"Could you give me an address", I ask hopefully.

"Don't have one, after Elizabeth and I divorced, she wanted nothing to do with me. I haven't heard from the girls in years", he frowns.

"Was Elizabeth not your other," I ask.

"She was, but I wasn't what mattered most to her. I can't say she was wrong, we had to do what was best in the end", he says.

"Could you do something for me", he asks.

I nod.

"If you find her, can you tell them all that I love them", he says.

"Of course", I say.
