¦¦Gladion¦¦

I shuffled through the heavy downpour. The alolan region was a very warm place, it normally only rains when a Pokémon has a special ability like drizzle or uses a move like rain dance. Since I wasn't exactly expecting rain, I had nothing to protect me from the cold except for my very thin sweater, and might I mention that it was cut up(becasue if Type:Null). The small patio was slippery, causing me to nearly fall and hit my head. I entered my room, I was drench leaving the floor a wet mess. I could always clean it later anyways. My shoes would soon make the floor soggy if I didn't take them off and place them somewhere I woundn't mess the carpet up. I hesitantly placed them on my drawer where most of my belongings rested. A small yellow carpet rested at the very front of the entrance, it was now tracked in muddy foot-prints. The rest of the room was carpeted a dark blue and light blue in a sort of diamond pattern. A single frame of Japanese blossom tree hung in the right section of the room. It didn't suit the place too well, but who was I to complain, I'm lucky to be here. My room was small, and that's why I liked it. It was cozy and warm, an excellent shelter from the cold outside. I slipped my sweater off. I walked over to the green curtains in my room revealing a small closet. I threw my sweater in the corner. I took my Type:Null out of its poke ball allowing it to stretch its legs. My partner immediately got up onto my bed seeking pleased, it let its eyes shut, and began cooing. I chuckled at how fast Null fell asleep. After admiring the rare Pokémon I continued to remove my drenched clothes when I heard a knock at the door. My head shot up, "Hello?" Was my door locked?-Shoot, it wasn't.

"Hey, I came to drop something off!" An all too familiar voice said. This boy again? What on earth does he want?! I was in the middle of stripping, basically, I clearly wasn't going to let him in-no, he decided it would be alright to enter without consent." Hey I thought you-" He stopped mid-sentence holding the door open with one hand.

"What the hell?! Get out!" I snarled at him, but he came inside closing the door behind him. I quickly put my hands over my chest feeling exposed. He had a raincoat on, lucky him. Hau placed it on the table while examining me. It was pissing me off, it was also making me feel very uncomfortable. Creep. "So to you, 'get out' means 'come in, make yourself at home'?" I asked with annoyance lacing every word.

"Sorry. I can see this isn't a really good time-but here." Hau held a bag out. It was lumpy and tied at the top.

"What is this?"

"Money! I thought I could help you... Since you live here and it isn't easy paying rent." At that, I turned bitter pushing the bag away. The tanned boy looked baffled by my gesture.

"I don't need your pity. If you think this is going to make you my friend, then think again." I flared making him shrink back in what I hope was fear. I have been told I have an edgy, and uneasy vibe, as well as look. Hau chuckled nervously before placing the money bag on my drawers' surface where my shoes lay. He then tried handing me another bag. It's sweet aroma was intoxicating. "And this is? Like I said; I don't need your pity."

Hau was one of the hardest people to break. I was so used to people giving up after their first attempt. My unfriendly manner would drive them off— almost always.

"If you won't take the money bag, at least take the malasada." His expression finally changed, he had a half frown on, I could tell he was genuinely trying to help. He wasn't doing it to make himself feel better about himself, still I had the strongest urge to refuse the offer. "Please."

I gave in with a soft sigh, "Fine." I took the bag slowly. Why was he being so nice after I was so mean? This kid isn't normal.

"Thanks!" And in the end he even decides to thank me rather than me thank him?

"Yeah..." I uttered. Hau was about to leave the money bag with me, "Don't forget that."

"Right." Hau smiled grabbing it. He grabbed his raincoat, he slipped it on about to leave when I suddenly stopped him.

"Wait where are you going?" He tilted his head, "It's pouring out there. Do you really plan on going out their?" I asked.

Hau looked a bit confused at my adrupt questions, "I'll just... –"

"You should... Stay." I was questioning everything now. Wha did I just say? That sentence just slipped out... I guess I did also feel somewhat bad for Hau. "You'll catch a cold in that weather."

"Oh," at first I thought he would deny my offer just as I denied his, but instead he accepted with no hesitation, "thanks Glady." He took his raincoat off placing back on the table that was already all wet. He realized the look I had while watching him place the coat down. Hau quickly picked it up. "Sorry! Where should I put this?"

"Just hand it to me." He did so, and I placed it in the corner of my closet where my sweater laid.

"Thanks a ton for letting me stay. I'll only stay until the rain let's up." I looked out the dim window, simply by hearing the way the water clashed against the window was enough to know it wasn't going to let up anytime soon. It'd probably be fine in the morning, which meant I was stuck with this tanned boy till then. I can't complain though. I brought this upon myself.
