"Goluuu!!", A girl who was nearly ten years old, shouted while running behind a boy.

The boy who was nearly 12 years old, ran and hide behind the tree crossing his arms over his chest. Girl reached near him and held his hand," Golu! Sorry na!!", She said huffing.

"Noo! Tumne Rohit ki help kyon kari?", He asked turning his face other side.

She tried to console him, "Woh bhi toh hamara dost hai na Golu! Aur maine sirf uske ek project mein help ki hai, tumhare toh saare projects mein karti hu na!", She said turning him.

"Noo! Tum sirf meri bestie ho! Meri Sona ho! Tumhe kisi aur ki help nahi karna chahiye!!", He said with angry pout.

She held her ears, " Accha baba! Sorry! Dekho ab maine kaan bhi pakde hai Golu! Please na!!"

He glanced her once," Pahle promise karo ki hamesha sirf mere saath rahogi."

"Promise!", She answered with a cute pout.

"Okay!", He hugged her and kissed her one cheek, "I love you Sona!"

She pushed him little and closed her mouth with both hands, "Haww! Goluu! Yeh gandi baat hoti hai mumma ne mujhe bataya hai. Kissie usko karte hai jisse ham shaadi karte hai!"

"Mai tumse hi shaadi karunga Sona!", He told her while cupping her one little cheek with his little palm.

She removed his hand, "Par mai tumse shaadi nahi karungi!!"

"Kyon?", He asked with pout.

"Tumhare baal kitne bade hai aur tum hamesha late nahate ho isliye mai tumse shaadi nahi karungi!!", She said while nodding her head.

He held her wrists,"Par mai tumse hi shaadi karunga!!",

"Phir baal katwane padenge aur jaldi nahana bhi padega!!", She said blinking her eyes.

"Okay! Mai tumhare saath naha liya karunga!!", He said with smile.

"Waada karte ho??", Sona asked with pout.

Mahir answered with smile, "Pakka waada!",

And they hugged each other.

Present Time....

A girl (nearly 25 years old) opened her eyes with smile and looked a outside from window as she stood near a window in a room.

"Kitne acche the woh saare pal! Saari baatein! Saari yaadein! I wish woh waqt wapas aa jaaye jab mai aur tum ek saath the aur hamein koi alag nahi kar sakta tha!", She said with sad smile.

The same time, washroom's door opened and a boy entered in room, "Bela!".

She turned her head towards the direction of voice. "Dekho main accha lag raha hu na?", He asked with setting his hairs coming in front of mirror.

"Hmm..bahot acche lag rahe ho Mahir!", Bela said coming near him and then started setting his collar.

"Sorry Bela! Vaise mai tumhe bhi saath le jaata but you know na it's a date!", He said in apologising manner.

Bela replied coldly, "It's ok! Tum jao and enjoy your date."

"Sure and please kal waali presentation jaror bana lena!",He said still setting his hairs.

"Hmm, ho gaya!", She said taking a step back.

Then Mahir hugged her, "Thank you! Bye!", He leaved after thanking him.

After his leaving, Bela sat on couch after keeping the laptop in front of herself and she again lost in her thoughts.

3 moths ago...

"Sorry but I can't marry Bela!!", Mahir declared in front of family.

"What are you saying Mahir?", His mother yelled.

Bela's mother too spoke up in between, "Mahir beta! Ham sab jante hai tum aur Bela bachpan se acche dost ho aur ham sabne tum dono ki shaadi ka faisla bahot soch-samajhkar liya hai! Tum dono ek dusre ke liye perfect ho!".

Mahir made irritating face, "Aap sabko ho kya gaya hai? I agree Bela meri best friend hai magar iska matlab yeh toh nahi na ki mai usi se shaadi karu!".

"Enough Mahir!", His dad shouted, "Agar ab tumne iss shaadi se inkar kiya toh mera mara muh dekhoge!!".

"Dad! Yeh galat hai. Aap iss tarah mujhse jabarjasti nahi kar sakte!", Mahir said defending himself.

"Ek minute Uncle!", Bela came and Mahir went to her, "Bela! Tum toh meri best friend ho na tum toh mujhe samjho!", He said holding her shoulders.

Bela removed his hands, "Uncle! If you all permit, mai Golu se akele mein baat karna chahti hu!".

"Sure beta!!'", Summi said while slightly nodding her head.

Bela held Mahir's hand and they both came to a room. Bela closed the door and turned to Mahir, "Golu just relax!! Ek baar meri baat suno, see I know you love Bani but still for our family's sake we have to marry each other. I promise mai tumhare aur Bani ke beech kabhi nahi aaungi! Aur phir ham dheere dheere ham apni family ko convince kar lenge tumhare aur Baani ke liye...Ab toh tumhe problem nahi hai na?", She asked him.

In reply Mahir hugged her, " Thank you so much Bela! I knew it ki koi mujhe samjhe na samjhe tum mujhe jaror samjhogi...You're really my bestie!".

Then soon BeHir got married with each other. On their first night, Bela was sleepless due to crying silently on her fate while Mahir was too sleepless as he was busy to talking with Bani.

After some days of their marriage, Mahir extended his business in Goa because Bani shifted to Goa. So He also shifted to Goa with Bela.

He spend a lot of time with Baani and least time with Bela. But she never complained him cause she knew that his love is not for her. They both lived in separate rooms.

She make herself busy in office-works and house chores. But she was always free for Mahir to helping him in his love-affair. Her priority was always Mahir since her childhood but his priority was changed now.

Present time...

Bela got up from couch when her phone beeped once. She quickly picked up her phone and received her friend Anita's message, "Happy Birthday my Bela!!".

She replied her and then she checked her inbox once more and didn't found any message. She again lost in her thoughts.

"Happy Birthday Sonaa!", Mahir screamed by smearing cake on her face.

"Goluuu!", Bela made annoying face.

"Itni raat ko kaun kisi ko aise birthday wish karta hai??", She asked after washing her face.

Mahir grinned, " Of course mai! It's my Sona's birthday !! We have to celebrate na...".

"Hmm..Mujhe toh laga tum bhul gaye!", She said with pout.

Mahir side hugged her, " Aisa ho hi nahi sakta! Banda khud ko bhul sakta hai par aapka birthday kabhi nahi! This day is special for you and you're very special for me!!".

Bela just smiled him back.

Bela's trance broke as her phone ringed again and Mahir's name flashed on screen. Bela received the call quickly,

"Hello!".

"Hello Bela! Actually maine tumhe yeh batane ke liye call kiya tha ki mera wait mat karna. Mujhe late ho jayega! Ham kal office mein milte hai! Ok! Bye!", He said and disconnected the call.

Bela switched off her phone immediately and fall on bed while crying.

Next day...At office...

"Happy Birthday Bela!", Rohit and Anita said hugging her.

Bela smiled, "Thank you guys!!".

"So where is Mahir? Subah se preparation kar raha hai?", Anita asked in teasing tone.

"Here I'm!!", Mahir said with entering in cabin.

"Oh hoo..Hello janab! Aayie! Hamein toh laga apni wifey ke liye surprise plan karne mein subah se busy hain! ", Rohit said teasingly.

"Excuse me!!", Bela excused herself immediately and left the cabin avoiding Mahir.

Rohit pulled Mahir making him sit in front of him, "Chal ab Bela chali gayi ab bata aaj ka kya plan hai, kya surprise hai Bela ke liye?", He asked excitingly.

"Surprise? What are you talking about?", Mahir asked picking the file.

Vish snatched the file from his hand, "Stop your acting Mahir! We know aaj Bela ka birthday hai!".

Mahir closed his eyes and kicked himself in mind that how could he forget his best friend's birthday. He got up quickly and left the cabin.

Mahir went to Bela's cabin. She was busy in her work and her back was facing him.

He went to her and directly hugged her from back making her gasp, "I'm sorry Bela! I just forgot your birthday. Happy birthday!!", He whispered in her ear.

She didn't give any reply to him. "See! I know you're angry on me but please baat karo mujhse Bela!", He said turning her.

"It's ok Mahir!", Bela said coldly removing his hold from herself and went a side.

Mahir followed her, "Please Bela! Ham aaj tumhara birthday bahot acche se celebrate karenge I promise.", He said in persuading tone.

"It's alright! No need to do anything Mahir! It's just fine!!", She replied with same cold expression.

"Are aise kaise! Aaj tumhara birthday hai aur ham aaj ka din vaise hi celebrate karenge jaise pahle karte the.", He said cheering her up.

"Hmm...Par ab pahle jaisa kuch nahi ho sakta Mahir!!", She said hurtfully and left.

At this evening...

Bela went for a dinner with Mahir, Rohit and Anita. They four had their dinner with little chit-chatting. The same time, Mahir's phone ringed and he excused himself, "Excuse me guys! I'll be back!", He left after saying.

After finishing her food, Bela stood up, "You both are carry on! Mai haath dho kar aati hu!!".

Bela went towards washroom and her eyes get widened in next moment when she found Mahir and Bani hugged each other and Bani kissed his one cheek.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt herself broken for loving him truly. But she knew the fact that her love is one-sided. She ran from there without disturbing them. She reached their home directly after messaging Anita and Rohit. She locked herself in her room and cried her heart out.

More days passed like this but nothing is change in their relationship.

One fine day, Bela worked in kitchen the same time, she received Anita's call, "What??", She screamed and quickly rush outside the house.

Then at hospital,

Now Mahir was in ICU as he didn't respond a little as he faced an accident. Bela cried continuously seeing him through window glass. The same time, Mahir's phone ringed and Baani's name flashed on screen. Bela picked her call and informed her about Mahir's accident.

After a day, Bela sat near Mahir holding his hand, then she felt some moment in his hand and his body. "Doctor! Doctor!", She immediately called doctor without wasting a second.

Doctor came and checked him. "Don't worry Mrs. Sehgal! He is fine now but still for some days he has to stay in hospital!", Doctor informed Bela.

"Thank you so much doctor!", Bela thanked him wiping her tears away.

She came to Mahir and held his hand slowly, "Mahir!", She called him slowly.

Mahir opened his eyes, "How can you be so careless Mahir? Agar tum_tumhe kuch ho jaata toh mera kya hota, socha hai kabhi??", She burst out on him while still crying.

"Par kuch hua toh nahi na thankfully. See Bela! I'm absolutely fine.", He assures her, "Now stop crying please!!".

"Sorry Mahir! Mai bhi yeh sab kya lekar baith gayi, tumhe kuch chahiye toh nahi?", She asked by wiping her tears.

"Bani! Bani kahan hai? I'm sure uska bhi ro-rokar bura haal ho gaya hoga mere liye!", He asked with hopeful eyes.

She nodded her head, "Bani nahi aayi Mahir! But I'm sure woh tumse milne jaror aayegi!", She said comforting him.

The same time, Anita and came to them. "Hey Mahir! Kaise ho??"

" Ani! Rohit! accha hua tum aa gayi, ab tum dono kuch der Mahir ke paas raho and you should take rest Mahir! Mai tumhare liye juice aur medicines lekar aati hu!!", She said while leaving.

"Just a min Bela! Mai bhi aati hu tumhare saath..", Anita said and left with her.

Rohit sat near Mahir, "Hey bro! You scared us.", He said side hugging Mahir.

Mahir smiled, "Sorry yaar!"

"It's alright! Par sacchi tune ham sabko dara diya specially Bela ko! Tujhe pata hai doo dino se bas roye ja rahi hai!!", He told him pulled himself back.

Rohit continued, "Honestly Mahir! Aisi dosti, aisa pyaar, maine kahin nahi dekha. Bela tujhse unconditionally pyaar karti hai yaar! Woh teri childhood bestie hai aur ab teri wife. Aise life partner bahot kismat walon ko milte hai! Serioualy You're so lucky man!".

Mahir just smiled in reply and lost in his thoughts.

Now Bela did best care of Mahir. She spend her all time with Mahir by talking, playing games on phone, seeing their favourite cartoon and movies. Meanwhile, everyday he asked to her about Baani and Bela gave same answer to him as before.

After some days, Mahir got discharged from hospital and they reached their home. These days their bond got strong as they spend a lot of time with each other. Mahir felt her love for himself in her every action.

He found himself fallen for her first time. He revived his childhood moments again with her.

One fine day,

They were busy to watching a movie together and the same time, Their doorbell ringed.

"Let me check!", Bela said getting up.

Bela opened the door and found Bani stood in front of her. Bani avoided her and directly entered in their house. "Maahirr!!", She screamed with entering.

Mahir got startled after seeing her. Bani came and hugged him, "I'm so sorry baby! Tumhara accident hua aur mai tumhare saath nahi thi. I was just busy with my fashion show as you know na my carrier is so important for me.",She mouthed continuously, "Please forgive me Baby!!", She said in pleading tone.

Mahir hugged her back and Bela again felt herself broken but she didn't react anything and went from there.

After sometime,

Mahir came to her room and found her sitting on window post.

"Sonaa!!", He called her.

Bela quickly wiped her tears listening his voice, "Everything sorted??", She asked getting up. "Maine kaha tha na woh jaror aayegi bas woh apne kaam mein thoda busy thi!",She said setting her bed.

"Kis mitti ki bani ho tum Bela?", He asked coming near her.

Bela went another side ignoring their eye-contact, "Kya bol rahe ho Mahir?", She asked opening her cup-board.

"Do you love me??", He asked straightaway.

Bela got freeze in her place but in next moment she composed herself, "Yeh kaisa sawal hai Mahir? Of course I do! Tum friend ho mere..".

Mahir came and turned her towards him holding her arm, "Do you love me?".

Bela stole glances from him, "Bani is waiting for you Mahir!".

"Bela I'm asking to you something? Answer me!", He said sternly tightening his grip on her arms.

"Ma_Mahirr..", She hissed.

"Answer me damn it!!",He shouted.

"Yess! I love you! I love you a lot! I love you more than anything in this world!!", She confessed looking at his eyes and again tears made their way to escape from her puffy eyes.

Mahir's eyes too pooled with tears and he joined their forehead, "Sonaa!!", He called her softly.

She felt so peace after hearing her name from his mouth, "Goluu!!", She whispered sobbing.

In next moment, they hugged each other and cried in each other embrace.

"Tumne mujhse pahle kyon nahi kaha?", He asked chocking voice.

"Tum Bani se pyaar karte ho na mujhse nahi and I just want to see you happy. Your happiness is my first priority!!", She replied between sobs.

He started caressing her back and hairs, "And what about your happiness?"

"I'm absolutely happy if you're happy.",She mouthed clutching his shoulders tightly.

He too hugged her more tightly, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry Sona! Mai kitna selfish hu. Sirf apni khusi ke liye mai tumhe hurt karta raha, tumhare pyaar ko kabhi samaj hi nahi paya!".

"But now I realised!", He said pulling her back, "I love you Sona! Yess! I love you!!".

Bela's eyes again welled up but this time with happy tears, " Par Bani..."

"Woh toh chali gayi!", He mouthed.

Bela asked with confused expression, "Matlab?"

"Matlab...", He said sitting on couch and pulled her by holding her wrist and making her sit on his lap. "When I face my hard time, she was not with me. When I need her badly, she was not with me but you, you're always with me. In my hard time, in my happiness so you love me truly na aur pyaar usi se karna chahiye jo aapse pyaar kare. Tumhare pyaar ke samne mai apna sab kuch haar gaya Sona!!", He confessed by cupping her face.

"Really? Tum_tum Sach mein mujhse...", She asked while again crying.

"Haan Sona! I love you!", He confessed again and in next moment, Bela threw her arms on him and clung to him tightly.

Mahir pulled her back and wiped her tears using his thumb-pad. She kissed his one cheek immediately, "Please don't leave me ever Golu!".

"I'm yours forever Sona!!", He said cupping her face and slowly tilted his head by leaning to her.

Finally their lips met and they marked their friendship with their love.
