Project 1: These threads that bind and tear (Goal: 20k words)

"My mother once warned me that the fae are closer to gods than to men, stirring from their slumber and leaving chaos in their wake."

Once a millennia the moon cracks sending ripples of energy and fragments to earth. Each fragment holds a small piece of energy capable of increasing one's power ten fold. These shards grant terrifying power, making the user impervious to death. The fae courts have used this power to withstand time itself but with less fragments each millennia, the courts are in turmoil

For as long as Aveline can remember she has been able to see fated threads. Golden threads that tie someone to their destiny. It has been her family's duty to protect her village and the ability to see the threads have allowed her village to escape danger for a millennia.

Until the moon hatches, sending out a powerful surge of energy and destruction in her wake. In search of the fallen fragments the fae kings army destroy her home. Desperate to save the survivors, Aveline bargains with the Unseelie king to spare her village and in return she will help him find the fragmented crystals and prevent his kingdom from ruin.

Project 2: A Dance of Shadows and Fae (Goal: 10k)

Evie has always been a skeptic when it comes to her grandmother's faerie tales-stories of beautiful yet treacherous fae who never lie, but always deceive. Who could be both friend and foe and collect their debts with wrath and vengeance.

But ever since her grandmother's passing, Evie's life has felt... off. Items vanish, strange symbols appear in dusted mirrors, and entire evenings slip away from her memory.

When Evie finds herself in a world that she didn't believe existed, she begins to wonder if her grandmother's tales weren't just stories, but warnings.

Evie must uncover what deal was struck between herself and a dark Fae before he collects his debts.
