Sometime in the Late Shang Dynasty

Brief Preview of Chinese mythology(Please read before you read the diary or else you would get really confused):
In the beginning there was nothing but a giant egg. Inside the egg lived a giant named Pan Gu. One day he woke up and slashed the egg open with an axe he found in the egg. The lighter and purer substance became the heavens while the heavier and less pure substance became the earth. He saw this and thought that the earth and the sky wasn't apart enough, so he stood in between and started separating them. When he grew taller, the distance in between grew too. Until at last one day, Pan Gu was so tired he collapsed and died. His eyes became the sun and the moon, his hair became trees, his bodily fluids became rivers and lakes etc. (The animals just kinda came along) One day, Nü Wa came to earth and found that Earth lacked something and she thought that it lacked people so she made people in her own image with the mud from the bottom of a lake and breathed life into them. The first man was made during the day symbolizing the Yang while the first woman was made at night symbolizing the Ying. Then one day two gods, the water and fire god started fighting, one lost(I forgot which one) and banged his head on a pillar that held the sky up and that ripped a giant hole in the sky. the heavenly water started pouring out and a great flood went throughout. Nu Wa saw that her people were suffering so she collected rainbow coloured stones and smelt them to fix the hole in the sky. But there were still water on the ground so Da Yu, a demigod started teaching the people bout irrigation and helped get the water out. His son, Qi later discarded the tribal system replacing it with monarchy and became the first emperor of the first dynasty of China, the Xia dynasty.

Dear diary,

So um I'm Wang Zao. I was born one thousand years ago, made by Nü Wa ma. I was forced to start this stupid thing ever since I learned how to write which is basically today. This is kinda hard since I have to carve these words on bones which kinda sucks. A little bit about myself I guess. I was made with my twin Wang Yao who is the Yang and I'm the Ying because I missed the day by one minute and Nü Wa ma decided to have some fun so I, who was supposed to be a girl was made a boy. Yeah thanks a bunch, ma. Pan Gu xian Sheng made me and Yao's house which I'm very thankful for. But the thing was at the end he died because he got so tired... Which is always really nice knowing that most of my furniture were made by his dead body. Then after some time those two shu shu started fighting. One lost and banged his head on the house's pillar which ended with a giant hole in the roof causing me and Yao almost drowning. Thankfully, Nü wa ma helped us fix the roof and we stopped being drowned. But there were still water in the house and Yao was crying which is always as annoying as heck. How come when Yao cries everyone revolves around him? It's just not fair in my opinion. But I never really cry... Oh well, he's just a dumb crybaby. Da Yu shu helped us get rid of the water in the house and drew a map of our humongous house for us which is really nice. Truth be told sometimes when I get lost in the house without Yao, I get really scared. But no one's gonna know right? Well, hopefully. Then Da Yu shu passed away with Yao crying again. I wanted to cry too but I can't. They'll call me a girl if I did. Even though Yao eventually got over this, he still had bouts of depression once in a while and started saying what they call philosophical things that I didn't quite understand. But after Da Yu shu passed away his son, Qi became our first boss and this governmental system called monarchy(I think) started. So just like that, me and Yao's first dynasty, the Xia dynasty started!

Ma or mama- mom or mother in Chinese

Shu or shu shu- uncle in Chinese

xian sheng- Mister in Chinese

Alright peeps this is gonna be my second fanfic written as Zao's diary which he would call a journal but whatever. It's going to contain a ton of Chinese history so I'll try to explain to the best I can. Oh and also for the carving on bones part, Chinese first started as oracle bones meaning hieroglyphics carved on bones. Zao would be calling the gods and goddesses aunt and uncle and his house would be in the Chinese perspective the heavens and the earth, the sky is his roof and the earth is his floor. Well, enough said, I hope you peeps come out learning something new and enjoy this little peek of Zao's dairy. I'll try my best to update this with my Crossing the Sea. Peace out!
