" I apologize for not being able to attend this morning training as I had an emergency that needed to be taken care of. " I looked over at Nico who was still pale and starting into space"....if you do not mind I would like to retire to my chambers as I have been up all night. "

I did not wait for a reply as I walked out of the room towards my chambers and collapsed on my bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I was asleep. This time it was dreamless.

Chapter 20

The next time I woke it was time for dinner. I was still quit drained from the events that I had come to know of. Of all the things that happened, Gaia had to wake and at the worst possible timing. The problem was still there no matter what.

Wizards.

Gaia had decided using wizards. Us demigods are very skilled and we can hold our own against wizards but they still have an advantage. I know for a fact that most of the Hecate kids would side with the wizards. They may be demigods but their faith lies with their people. Another reason, those who change sides will have an advantage knowing how we fight our weaknesses and our strategies .

I pulled the pillow over my face not wanting to think about it anymore. I just want to sleep it all away, unfortunately for me I am immortal.

On a trip to Hades palace I was visiting Nico, I had gotten attacked. A hellhound had left claw marks from my shoulder to my thighs, it was deep and bleeding, I tried to get the blood to stop but the hellhound pushed me and I fell into the river Styx. I did not get an Achilles heal.

Me being a child of Poseidon, my powers took control and wanted the water to heal me. And heal it did. But the water did not just heal me, I had absorbed the water into my blood.

I have Styx water running through my veins I made me more powerful, I don't get hurt easily on the battle field and I have better reflexes. I still need lots of sleep but I couldn't afford to sleep with everything that had been going on so I forced my body to adjust.

Know all I need is a few hours of sleep and I'm ready, though I do tend to sleep whenever I can. Nobody knows about this except the goddess of The river Styx. I had no issues about that. It's not like she was going to tell anybody.

I rolled over on my bed wanting to get comfortable again, I did not need to eat, if I was hungry I would get something from the kitchen later. I sighed in contempt as I drifted of to sleep again.

The next time I drifted to awareness was because a harness caressing my face and a beautifully familiar voice calling my name.

I slowly opened my eyes and was met with a burning crimson stare. Voldemort was leaning over me our faces inches apart. We stayed like that and I did not know if it was me or him but we had started to lean in closer, he was so close an-

"Alex " I heard Nagini hiss from her spot at the edge of the bed.

Voldemort and me immediately pulled away from each other, he composed himself as well as I. Or at least I tried to I knew I was as blushing and I looked like a complete mess. Hair messed up from sleep and hardly able to comprehend anything.

"Nagini , Voldemort. " I greeted.

Nagini slithered up the bed and wrapped herself around me laying her head in the crook of my neck, which tickled slightly when her tongue poked out.

"You were not here yesssssterday .why? I wasss very lonely and did not get to ssssee thosssse wizardssss be in pain. " I chuckled and gently rubbed her head.

"I brought you some food, you need to eat. " Voldemort spoke causing my eyes to snap towards him, he was already watching me.

I blushed and mumbled a thank you. I started to eat not realising how hungry I was until know.

We sat in silence for a while. Me eating and Voldemort watching me eat, not that I minded. I sort of liked the attention he gave me. Oh gods I sound like a loved sick puppy, I though in misery.

"Why were you gone yesterday? " Voldemort broke the silence with his question.

I swallowed the food in my mouth before speaking. " Last night or rather this morning several things came to my attention and needed to be dealt with. You're kind is not the only ones going into war. I need to prepare my people as well. Shitty timing right. "I said while putting the plate on the dresser beside the table.

Seeing as never spoke I continued. " Some of the demigods and the Order of the Pheniox are working together, the are gaining allies. We have lots of work to do, war is around the corner and if I had to estimate how long I'd say we have six to seven months before we go to the battlefield or die. "

Voldemort continued to stare at me before he abruptly stood up and started pacing. I watched him from my place on the bed, not knowing what to do.

He suddenly stopped and faced me. " I need you to get my men ready as soon as possible so that you can see to your own people. If the Order of the Pheniox is involved, there might be problems. They are a tricky bunch especially their leader Albus Dumbledore. "

He stared to walk towards me and stopped right in front of me. I gently took Nagini of me and I do not think his hand brushing my neck and jaw was an accident.

" You need to rest ,Nagini would only disturb you. As soon as you feel better you are welcome to join the rest of us. " with that his stalked out of the room, robes blowing around him.

I wonder if it was a spell , I idly thought.
