Washed Away
Once Upon a time,
In a land of lush forest, spacey caves, wide rushing waterfalls connected to rivers, mountains as tall as the clouds, and serene moor lands far far away, lived a "prowl" of leopards lead by the wise snow leopard Liteal and his lovely mate Chalíki. Liteal and Chalíki were a very impressive pair. Liteal had fur as pure as a rabbit's cotton ball tail, dark grey splotches of spots, and deep, dark blue eyes. Whereas Liteal had Snow White fur, Chalíki had a the grey pelt of morning fog, blue spots as dark as midnight, and icy blue eyes. Chalíki was the most skilled hunter of the prowl. She always found prey even when it was scarce. Liteal had issues behind his pelt, only his mate knew this. He would yowl and hiss at her for not bringing back enough prey, or kick her to the side when she refused any of his decisions. He pretty much caused her pain for almost everything. The "prowl" of about 82 leopards were suddenly notified by a problem. It all started one day when Chalíki came back from her hunt with not a single scrap of prey. She hung her head low as she approached her mate, Liteal. "Liteal...... I am pained to tell you... but we are clean dry of any prey.... there are none in the Misty Mountains of the east, nor the damp Moor lands of the west, the Lush Forests of the north, or the Rushing Rivers of the south.... I've searched everywhere....... I am sorry...." she stammered afraid of what his reply would be. She confidently looked up at Liteal to see his look of pure hatred. He purred softly through gritted teeth, "Alright dear, come with me and we will SURELY discuss this problem..." he put his paw foreword and flicked his tail giving a command to Chalíki to follow. He then padded into the narrow tunnel of cold stone that lead to a cave den deep inside the mountain. Chalíki followed. Once inside the den.... Liteal released his true colors. "CHALÍKI!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU BRING BACK PREY?!!" She hissed viciously at her. "YOU ARE MY MATE FOR A REASON! YOU ARE ONLY MY MATE BECAUSE YOU WERE A GREAT HUNTER!!! BUT YOU HAVE FAILED ME!!!" "Liteal," Chalíki responded confidently, "I told you, there is NO prey! I searched everywhere! I choose you as my mate BECAUSE I THOUGHT YOU WERE BETTER THAN THIS!!!" "THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR YOUR LAZINESS!" He screeched at her. "I WILL NOT HAVE IT!" He looked at her with despise and unsheathed his claws. He raised his paw and swiped at her side with his claws as she stumbled over. "STOP! STOP!!" She cried out, "OR YOU'LL HURT OUR CUB!" *he took a step back, bewildered that Chalíki was bearing his cubs. There were thought in his eyes, but he shook his head and stepped forwards viciously. "I will have no cubs with the likes of you...." he yowled deeply, "They will be just as useless as you....." Angered, Chalíki got up. She soon felt pain in her stomach and fell back to the floor. She screeched in pain as the cub was ready to be born. Chalíki gave all of her energy to stand up and run out of the den, Liteal right behind her, with every step getting closer and closer. She soon made it to the highstones where the pair would hold meetings with the prowl. Chalíki yowled calling for the prowl to gather beneath, her breath being taken away with every heartbeat. "I have called you hear today....." She breathed heavily, "To warn you with the concerns of my mate, Liteal...." She began to discuss all his problems, when he emerged roaring with the intensity of a lion. What Chalíki didn't know, was that Liteal had a pack of followers that were plotting against the prowl, ready to fight for the mighty Liteal. With his powerful roar, one of his followers leaped into the air and pounced on a young cub, his claws ripping into its back as his teeth bit into its neck, killing the poor cub swiftly. Chalíki looked shocked. It soon begin to rain sheets of cold, wet droplets. Liteal yowled as more of his followers attacked the prowl, an intense battle of the good and evil gathering below him. Chalíki took her chance darting down the hillside slipping on the slippery ground, now turning to mud and mossy rock. It didn't take Liteal to realize Chalíki darting away. He ran after her like a bullet and chased her down to the river. She then laid down. She couldn't hold back the birth of her cub any longer. She Inhaled and exhaled, screeching as she gave birth to a beautiful cub. She licked her cub clean as it meowed loudly. Chalíki cooed softly, "Shhhh.... There there precious little.....girl, mum is here for you." Snow began to fall onto her cub's pelt, the snow falling into the ground as it began to build up. Liteal yowled in rage. "Not for long little girl!" He grabbed the newly born cub and threw her into the icy water. "HhahahahHha!!!" She roared pinning Chalíki to the ground biting at her neck as she yowled in distress, "My beautiful, beautiful cub.... I'm sorry.... My beautiful Eira.... I love you......"

Cold..... So cold.....
Alone...... I'm all alone....
Fear creeps along my silhouette......
Waiting to attack.....
The depths of my thoughts.....
Getting shorter.... Shorter......
..So......
......Cold.....
